Are we playing the same powersets, rap? I've found that both of the Psionic AoEs (the cone and tornado) are extremely powerful when fully slotted and used with Freezing Rain. Also Psionic Tornado works great with Freezing Rain, causing a blast of knockdown (not knockback like the real tornado) that makes things unable to attack you.

I can only speak for myself, but the SG I belong to is full of people who think (with good reason) they're better than the Average Joe. This leads to the fact that it takes quite some effort to get in, and usually the first things we tend to pay attention is the spelling and the quality of stuff people speak, as that is kinda the only thing that can be paid attention to until you play with the person for a while.

I guess there are some SGs out there that accept just about anyone aboard, but then again, they wouldn't probably qualify for your standards of "a good SG".

So, to sum an answer to your question: a good player should find a good supergroup quite easily on Union. If you can't find one, they might not be the reason.

Combat jumping and Stealth don't really give good +defense. The actual values are something around 2.125% on a dominator, which means that with the +40% buff, you're getting around 3% of +defense from each, totalling +6%, which really doesn't help enough to count.

As a dominator, the best way to get damage dealt to you reduced is to use mezes. Use Mezes on foes you are not fighting - if you're fighting 3 foes, keep one Held and you have only 2 people to fight. Keep mezzing those enemies you are not yet fighting, if you have 1 mob mezzed and have killed one, you have only one guy to kill.

Domis should get a +maxhp, +res and +def buffs for reaching domination.

But these days that's not yet reality.

a Dominator should mean that any Tanker (incl ice) is in real trouble.

Dominators are playable in PvP.

For zones, Fire/Nrg ain't half bad. Fire/Ice works a bit better (and yes, I'm biased in this opinion). Mind/Ice and Mind/Fire are the FOTM for Arena fights. In team arena Domis have to play the sad part of "ooh, that's the squishiest target of them all" and die a lot.

Yeah, to be honest, Thorn Domis really start to shine when you get some melee strikes into the mix. The damage factor is better for melee attacks than for ranged ones. And when you have Aim and Domination up, you're doing some serious spike damage with near-guaranteed hit prob.

Thorns and Fire are the secondaries that are aching for high-powered attacks, Ice and Energy are the ones for maximized control abilities like your build aims to be. You might benefit from a paradigm shift from a controller with some blasts to a blaster/scrapper with added control.

Your actual mileage might vary. This is just a suggestion.
