We're actually really excited about running a mixed group where every AT can contribute especially considering we can find far more stalkers than brutes running around ...and they got the shaft on LSRF.

Granted this is core group only. Anything above and beyond that is just gravy. As for TA MM's, our fingers have exhausted on searching.

The interesting thing is our initial agro tests were just limited to brutes, mm's, corr support and we had a spare stalker = Jaded Angel who had picked up some strays (stalkers). We ran them in on an assault team ( this was Friday - not last night .. had to go back to basics last night.. long story) and they did really well. =P

Edit: Silverspar is reading this wondering why I have edited six times. I had gone without sleep for 24 hours, slept six and find my brain on ramble. Having seen the mess I posted, I went back and deleted it all. Just hand me a drink. <wink>

We had asked he post this and specifically contact Lighthouse to tack it. While Sandalphan does have a guide in the Guides forum, we do see it as strictly a complete guide for other servers and private groups to learn from. The purpose of this post is two-fold in that it serves as a beacon for anyone interested in public Virtue raiding. Prior to the OP, the only tacked item was Rose's pre-i9, -adding- to it would have caused confusion because most reading the initial post would have dismissed it as outdated. This is much easier for someone to find the current relevant information in regard to VU contact information.

On a personal note, the first full blown public raid brought a good feeling in helping continue our challenge list. Sure, there are different strategies to defeating Hamidon, some servers have completed prior and have some have not yet with different methods but to us, it's important that it's simple enough to get out to someone on the fly and have them pick it up quickly. No one will have interest in raiding if it takes farming, 10 hours, and a rocket scientist in the Hive. Thankfully as part of original goals: far less EOE's are needed (thanks to recovery aura), right now the time is 1 hour 20 minutes average from spawn, and while we do have rocket scientists.. someone as simple minded as me has followed with little to no trauma.

There's quite a bit more and I'd love to see more people show on the new public nights taking notes and helping the overall effort on the main concerns:

1. Can we decrease EOE use further and then eventually defeat him without it entirely. I was told we can, we need a better mousetrap now.

2. We've decreased the number of deaths at bloom but can we come up with a pull strategy to eliminate that altogether.

3. Time. There have only been 4 raids to date. Over time and using the same or less resouces, can we do this under 1.5 for organization, monster clearing, and spawn to clear. I think we can do 1 hour on just spawn to end but so much is just getting new people each raid trained so the interest in there and the organization runs smoother. I cannot stress how important it is to show up on time as a courtesy.

This wasn't easy. So many dedicated two solid weeks of time outside of the Hive. Farming EOE's, strategy calls on Skype during dinners, finding people, showing early, staying late, feeling defeated sometimes.. and I can't imagine how much harder it will be villainside.

Spade, unfortunately we cannot host the party on the Test server. We are holding it in Virtue as prizes will be given away includeing decorated RP bases, full sets of halloween costume salvage, hami os, synthetic hami os, and angel kissies.

-- someone had asked about cuppa's tattoo ... it's basically all over her back but not how you would think... it's words not pictoral... it's celtic? i think? i could not hear her well as it was loud and she is super tiny but the words travel across her back like a lost ant march careening in drunken loops ... the best part is... the stretch of words (which the size itself is fairly small .. just it's long) travel up her neck into her hairline and i imagine it was painful having a needle applied there.... it has great meaning to her and i wish i could have heard her better but being an airhead i'd have felt silly screaming at this tiny cutie "CAN YOU SPEAK UP, I AM OLD AND DEAF" ...at any rate, she's super cute, Taxibot Hollow showed her his tattoo as well... it's a ritual for people who get them, i suppose...the "i'll show you mine"...
