  3. I think the reason this and size changes aren't implemented at costume change is because of you're animation rig. While there are rig changes in game (PB/WS, stone tank) all the secondary rigs are AFAIK of a predefined size and costume design. So while the implementation apppears possible it is probably a couple of major steps further away than you might think.
    Please feel free to correct me on this as it is only how I see the problem at the moment.
    Nice idea but probably too complex to easily implement.

    In hopes my little donkey doesn't get lost amongst all those high horses out there!
  4. If you where to have to come up with an AT powerset combination that compares most closely to each epic class what would it be?
    ie Pb's are like a Nrg/Elec blaster or Ws like a Fire/Dark Tank

    My thoughts so far are:-
    Force-purely defensive and so not fitting of my toons style
    Cold-Aoe slow I like,Aoe sleep I question the value of given the amount of offensive Aoe that will instantly negate it's effect,Hibernate again is a purely defensive power.
    Elec-nice hold,nice cone and a kind of weak Pbaoe with stun and very slow recharge.
    Munitions-nice hold,dubious Aoe sleep (see Cold),nice Aoe snipe thats 3*faster than Em pulse.
    The only other interesting point of note is the synergy between the stun of elec and the stuns of bonesmasher/total focus which could mean a mag 10 stun for about 10 sec with power boost active. I'm not sure how mags work though cause I've applied a mag 7 stun to an AV which I thought would be enough to stun it though it didn't appear to.

    Thanks for the advice all and the builds PB will have a good look when I get the oppurtunity.
    Played 'Cryo-Genix' for the first time last night and had a really good time. I'm loving snow storm and infridgiate.
    He will probably take a while to progress as he's a once a week charecter but it did open my eyes to the joy of defending and I might well role another for good measure.

    Thanks guys, there's an awful lot of good info here. Especially liked the idea about the order that you use your debuffs in is very important, seems obvious but it's the sort of thing that might not occur to you without a bit of experience.
    Some of the info I feel is a little hard to grasp as I haven't had any experience with my powers yet but I think you have provided me with a valuable resource that I will probably be refering back to throughout my career as an Cold/Ice Fender. Thanks a lot guys.
    So far I've taken the 3 minus recharge powers as I intend to prioritise the buff/debuff aspects rather than damage.

    Thanks for sharing Womble with us, I have changed a couple of things after comparisons. Mostly aiming for a permanent recharge rate rather than a proced one.
    I didn't realise Footstomp proced for every target that's kind of good. Also didn't know you could change number of targets for invincability calculations in mids, if you can mines obvously on default (1 or 2 it looks like).

  18. Sorry lack of sleep on my part what I meant was perma unstoppalble not invincability.
    oh yes my S/L res are maxed at 90 thought that would be taken as read sorry.
    Just gone over the figures again I thought that mids might be overvalueing my recharge in some way. Well I thought it was to good to be true and it was, these exagerated recharge rates would only apply during active combat. While somewhat of a setback I'm still highly impressed with the figures mids is showing me shame I won't have a chance to test them for real for a while yet.
    So overall I'm really happy with my build just wanted to see if anyone had any comparable builds to compare it to before I commit to respecing into it. Can't wait really because my current build is a mess, it was built while mostly soloing and lacks the commitment to defense required to make a good team tank. This was even before I knew what a tanker really was, I thought it was just a tough melee fighter, my tactics were go in and hit them not go in and make sure they don't hit anyone else. I would just run in and beat on the hardest guy ignoring anything else that went on around me, inluding minions breaking the front lines to squish the squishies. Then I learnt to notice them Hp bars dropping and know that unless it was the scrapper, whoever it was was probably in over there heads and would need saving. Now I can happily keep a group amused for hours ( it seems like sometimes anyway ) while my team does there biz, I need them red numbers to be floating above MY head otherwise I'm not doing my job right. Well we live and learn.
    Errr speaking of which I need to learn where to go to claim my respec. Can anyone enlighten me.

    Anyone been on test and had any experience of this AT. Am going to role one for the ice/storm team. Any advice on what are the must have powers and which are instantly forgetable.
    Any particular tactics peculiar to this AT or defenders in general as I've never played one before.

  20. Does anyone know of a build that beats these criteria.

    Def and Resistance hovering around the 30's (20' for Psi)
    nearly 300% total Regen
    17 secs off Perma Invincability
    15 secs from double stacked Dull pain half the time
    slightly over double stacked rage half the time

    At the moment this is my baby (took me over 12 hours solid number crunching on mids) but if anyone knows how to do better than I'd be quite willing to learn more.

    Also this build build isn't overly expensive as I don't really want to aim for something I'll unlikley be able to complete.

  21. I do have my attacks already slotted much as you describe, I was asking really because I'm thinking of doing a respec and was wondering if I'd gain more benefit from them by shifting them to my toggles.
    Thanks for the link Jessica couldn't find the info I was looking for but it is an interesting site.
    I was inquiring over the times of taunt to try and make a comparison between punch-voke with aura and Taunt power ( which taunts according to the info on test server for 20 secs, an absolute lifetime for most mobs) . Why dispose of taunt you ask, well I'm looking to respec in stamina to soften the crash caused by unstoppable ( something I haven't yet experienced, just 2 more lvls to go).
    My other dilema is whether to swap my movement pool to jumping as I believe one of the first to powers gives you a def donus this might cause a 'stutter' in my attack chain though as it would mean sacrificing an attack.
    Generally there doesn't seem to be a lot of room to manuever in this AT as all the primaries and secondaries are pretty useful to your main task, so there seems little room for pool powers.
    Just a further thought if I do manage to squeeze a pool in fitness ( for hp regen and end managment ) or fighting for it's tough and weave (would also fill out my attack chain).

  22. Is anyone aware whether it is more efficient to slot toggles or attacks for best endurance saving results?
    And also does anyone know the base time that an enhance tanunt enhancement works on when slotted in an attack?

  24. Cheers for the offer mate. Not entirely sure what I'm going to do at the moment, was thinking of maybe just forming an SG for my own use, as a dry run to maybe trying to get an active SG together in the future sometime.
