Blargh, can't be bothered to dig in the 'All Things Art' threads...Its in one of them (and they are long) but basically a bunch of other people suggested muscle parts for females, even providing screenshots of either bugs that allowed for it or photoshopped in muscles.
David, the lead art Dev who started the threads to get feedback, replied along the lines of "Previously we though it'd look horrible and hadn't considered it at all but, given what you guys have just shown me, theres actually quite a good case for looking into it properly. And thats the entire reason people were against it. What happened to the Rikti? Thats right; theres an entire in-game zone dedicated to them with a UN backed Army waging open war against them. And backed up and sometimes hindered by Longbow. And potentially every Hero and Villain around.

Thats the sort of scale that would be frankly demanded for something like the death of 1000 school children in the heart of the City. It'd be real open warfare, which we as players simply do not have the means to do. I mean, ok, I have actually run one of the events in Union that was coming fairly close. Yet even then, it was all set to the backdrop of existing zones, namely the PvP zones. It was slightly covert-op style, which gave people a valid excuse to not hear about it. Even the grand finale was held in Recluse's Victory, so even though the Villains technically won, the fact that nothing visibly changed in the real world was plausible. The Villains got pushed out by the Freedom Phalanx (again, possible in game in RV) but they put enough hurt on the Heroes and stole the alternate dimensions City Hall flag, to prove the point that "Hey, we can do this to you in our world too...sleep with one eye open, 'Heroes'!"

Feasible and unfeasible, major impact and 'we were there' impact. S'all.

And thats your problem right there. Corruptors with AR are like Defenders with AR, with the only difference being Scourge. My AR Corr feels nothing like my AR/Ice blaster, who is a walking engine of destruction and cold drinks.

As for the ammo mechanic? Hell freaking NO. Endurance is bad enough, especially on the likes of Flamethrower (Over 20 end? Strewth on a bleeding stick...)

And kindly get down off the high horse. We are discussing it and, aside from your rants and FFMs slightly grouchy posts, fairly level headedly. We (Generaliation for those who are uncomfortable with the side-plot as it is) have stated where we stand. Pious has effectively said 'F you all' and tromped off. CB is still in discussion. Bath is on holiday still, and Game has been swallowed by RL. Hence, we're trying to sort it out sooner rather than later, because later will cause even more problems.

As for other Heroes 'earning their liscence'....Oh, where to begin with that one. I think I'll actually leave that one for now, tbh.

If theres more people who are going to ignore it (and, frankly, that seems to be the case. A SG that was considering getting involved were discussing it on their OOC the other day, and after examining the St Johns sub-plot they actually decided to not take part, because it didn't sit well with them. Just saying) then...well, that's how things go, really. It is a form of democracy in a shared universe.

Well, I know that I ignore certain characters in Pocket D. Such as one who's biog claims to have beaten Odin and now semi-rules Valhalla. I...really cannot be bothered with someone who is god-moding a universe and religion to that level. Sorry, but thems the breaks.

So far theres not really been much offer of compromise. People have said it doesn't sit well with them, IC AND OOC, and all we've got is Pious throwing a huff and you shouting in our faces. CB has so far been civil enough, however, so maybe we can salvage something without needing a retcon.

And a story without a grounding in reality is worthless. Really, you might as well just state the moon is made of cheese and your grandfather wa the Emperor of Shamabalayaya.

And not really, it's CBs sub-plot in the end. And it's the players who are the 'law'. Form of democracy, remember? If every other player on Union decided to ignore this sub-plot, you can shout and stamp as much as you like, but the rest of them won't register it. Simple as that.

Whips is really the only useful personal attack for MMs, because the -res build up means that you will actually end up doing some damage, rather than plinking away worthlessly.

Lets look at the others shall we?

Bots; Two anaemic, heavy end attacks. Piddly chance for KB, which the bots have in spades anyway so its not needed. One AoE stun attack which has a horrible chance to stun and costs as much as, say, a Blasters Fireball. More, in fact. Taking Seeker Drones is a much better bet, and protector bots get the attack and the drones free anyway. Also an agrro magnet if it fails to stun, which is often.

Mercs. Ditto, with some -def in burst which, again the pets already have on pretty much every attack. M30 grenade suffers the same as Photon grenade, and is again a huge aggro magnet.

Ninjas. Ok, this one isn't so bad, because the bow attacks don't cost so much and are more accurate from the get go. Just pure damage though.

Hmn, Zombies win a little bit more on the blasts. -ToHit and slightly better, neg energy damage. Life Drain looks pitiful though. Single target which is niether attack nor dedicated heal and costs as much as an AoE? Riiiiight.

I just fail to see how cutting down a bit on the endurance cost of the attacks would be anything oter than a good thing. More people might consider taking them, those that have them get a nice little buff...win/win?

*sigh* Fine, but I'll bet this will lead to trouble in and of itself. Ignoring people when other characters aren't is going to lead to some damn awkward IC stuff.

Because that's really helping things, Floaty. That just puts other people in a damn awkward situation, especially if Tomb and Ellie are at the statue;
"Who are you talking to?"
"This girl here..?"
"I don't see anyone."

In fact, that really is just cutting your nose off to spite your face, because it leaves you with the problem of not seeing Tomb while other people can.

Can we just calm down a bit and sort this out without resorting to petty things like 'Im retconning you!' 'No, you!' and suchnot? Seriously?
