I'm surprised EVE isn't part of MMO Isle, but I'm really glad to see we are.
I can't seem to find Wikipedia, I can't believe that's not on there. -
Wow... that's totally a confirmed kill on that flattened Hydra guy.
-
*looks at number 2*
Chameleon Boy is totally related to Piccolo... -
I wasn't even aware it had launched.
So, I apparently it's not released in the UK and only has US servers, but I tried it out anyway. There is a moment of lag that'd make most fast gameplay impossible, but considering I'm halfway around the world (and the it did mention I have high latency (because of my location) ) I was still quite impressed.
All the videos of everyone playing in real time was quite impressive too. I'm amazed that what they told us they were going to do does seem to be true.
I'd like to see what it's like with servers a little closer to home. -
According to Paragon wiki, States does have a move called "Hammer of Justice". It's melee and does knockback.
Zeus' Lightning is ranged and does energy drain. -
More importantly, interstellar travel means we (for all intents and purposes) get access to unlimited resources.

Quote:Not quite correct, they were just sent a "cease & desist", they weren't actually sued. They did however get sued and forced to take down their American McGee's Strawberry Shortcake parody thing however many years back that was. I seem to recall it was because it negatively impacted the image of the brand or some other such silliness.
They were going to fight it but decided not too. No legal action was ever taken by either side at any point, nor was PA "forced" to take the image down per se.
The image has since been published in their latest anniversary book. They have considerably more money and clout these days to fight, should something like that ever happen again. -
20 light years? That is really freaking close in astronomical terms. Amazing.

Quote:"This video contains content from Disney Channel, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds."This is what I get for getting interested in something...
From DisneyXD's Youtube page:
Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. - Continuation form the Iron Man Arc. Fury & Co. dropping off the Hydra goons at the Vault. Only to discover the whole UN attack was a ploy to get Grim Reaper in to free Baron Strucker (sp?). But hey, Fury get's his white hair bits in this one...
I really like the exchange between Hill, I think, and Fury starting at the 5:53 point. Interesting...
The Siege of Asguard - Picks up where Micro-ep #5 Left off. Loki leads some Frost Giants on a assault of Asguard. Much carnage ensues as well as seeing a number of the Iconic Asguardians in battle. And we see Thor get very, very Angry...
Hopefully we'll get to see some brotherly smackdown before the series starts up as well...
Thank you for the time...
Lovely... -
He's okay! I see his parachute!

I don't think that would be covered under Fair Use. Since you're using the character to create an entire story.
Penny Arcade gets away with it because they only use 3 panels (more or less) and copyrighted characters aren't the focus of their work.
If your comics focuses on the character, then they could claim that fair use doesn't apply.Possibly, I'm not an expert on US Law, that just seems like the jist of it from what I've read. -
Excellent as always! Oh man... Ginyu force... a parody of the Ginyu force... this is going to be... something...
-
Paragon Wiki still has the whole "announcement".
-
Wait, wait... wait.
Black/Samuel Jackson Fury with hair? WRONG! -
Yeah, a little more info is required... you didn't really tell us what the problem was
-
Makes sense. I think Banner is likely meant to balance that out.
-
I have John Cleese on my side, your argument is invalid.
Also, you tell me to PM you next time, yet you post here to carry on an argument that was essentially a minor post of easily ignorable nerd-rage.
But whatever, let's get back to Hulk. -
Quote:You're not controlling the biology of it, just your mind, you're not succumbing to all the adrenalin and mental urges, you're keeping them down. And it's a fine thing to do, one of the hardest indeed... but that doesn't change the fact that your body is still telling you to do things, you're just using your mind to overcome it.If you think you can't control anger it tends to mean that you haven't ever had a temper to have to control. Trust me, anger can be controled
However, Banner's transformation is spurred on by the body. He can control being angry mentally but his body still activates the transformation. Additionally, the starts of the transformation also make harder for him to mentally control it. -
Quote:Dunno about the first, but yes, he's always been able to control ants. I *think* he even rides a flying ant in the first Avenger's comic (correct me if I'm wrong).Micro-Episode #3 and another character profile trailer is out, I added the links to the first post!
Also 2 questions...
#1: Has Ant-Man always had the ability to shrink down and still be able to knock out a normal sized person with a punch?
#2: Has he always been able to control ants?
I thought he just took the name Ant-Man cause that's the size he shrunk down too not cause he also was the Ant King =P -
Couldn't care less. It's couldn't care less.
I wouldn't have said anything but you used it twice!! -
Quote:People cannot control anger. That is, we cannot stop ourselves feeling it. We can stop ourselves acting on it, but we can't stop ourselves actually feeling it, those biological impulses happen whether we like it or not. Since the Hulk is a biological impulse, that is often been connected with increased adrenalin, Bruce (or anyone) does not have the ability to stop the Hulk coming out... that's why he wants to be rid of the Hulk.I don't find Hulk really all that sympathetic at all and that is as someone that has come closer to that type of situation than most. Getting that angry and turning into someone else, doing things you normally wouldn't, and not really having any control. Yeah, been there. The fact that as far as I have seen he hasn't really learned to control his anger is disgusting to me. This is why to me, Batman and Superman and many other DC chars are so much more sympathetic to me. Having the power to decimate someone, and even having a huge amount of fury, but still keeping it in check and trying to do whats right without hurting people.
Banner doesn't do this. He's a emo twit that in the end doesn't care about anyone but himself and while he may do some good, it's not cause he's a good person, but rather it just happens that it works out better for himself. He can't even be trusted to do what's good for himself, because he has no self control either...so for me he's one of the worst "entities" in all of fiction and I'd much rather read about anyone else and probably team with just about anyone else. I mean Darkseid is evil, but at least he's an evil that's consistent.
As for the Hulk being sympathetic. Depends which Hulk.
One type of Hulk is more like a child who wants to be left alone. This hulk is sympathetic, because it's everyone else constantly going after him even though if they just left him alone, he'd be harmless.
There are other types of Hulks that are more aggressive. The Green Scar is obviously much different due to his intelligence. And while is actions in World War Hulk were way over the top, I still find him slightly sympathetic due to his reasons. -
Quote:You realise that you can defeat someone without killing them right?Freeza was alive and well (if beaten up) up to that point, just because Goku arbitrarily declared himself the winner doesn't mean he actually won (until the discs slice Freeza in half, that is). Future Trunks is the one who actually finished the job.
Additionally, Goku didn't declare himself winner "arbitrarily". Freeza had lost all his power, there was no possible way that he could win. -
Aww, wish we'd got to see home Hulk throwdown.

Quote:Haha, no. While the Samurai sword is an amazing weapon and certainly very effective, it's not going to cut through swords or armour in one strike.Um I'm pretty sure a samuria could easil slice throgh a knights armor + swords in 1 slash. Katans are just so much suprerior that Europ is luck they never fought with japan back in the medevial age.
Quick Youtube search
As you can see, while it is a better sword, it's nowhere near the uber ultra powerful sword of legend.
