  1. Great guide.

    Dark Regen
    slotting: acc, Harmonized Healing x2 (end/rech, end/rech/heal), Doctored Wounds x2 (end/rech, end/rech/heal)
    slotting #s:36% acc, 95% end, 36% heal, 81% recharge
    SBTM: 1.5% recovery

    [/ QUOTE ]

    I have this slotting.
    Scirocco Dervish Acc/Recharge (46)
    Doctored Wounds Heal/End/Recharge (48)
    Cleaving Blow Acc/Recharge (43)
    Numina's Convalescence End/Recharge (50)
    Numina's Convalescence Heal/End/Recharge (50)
    Multi Strike Acc/End. (50)

    Gives me these percentages.
    Heal - 42%
    Accuracy - 76.2%
    Recharge - 97.8%
    End. Red. - 91.5%

12% Regeneration increase from the two Numina's also helps.

My concern with Dark regen has been Endurance first, recharge time second, accuracy third and lastly heal amount. The heal is great, and I'm usually in a mob. That said there have been few time I missed all of the critters around me. Ah well, i guess that is why I like soul transfer. Hate loosing the fury tho..
I could get a little more by actually having them all level 50 enhancements, but I'm dastardly cheap when it comes to spending Infamy.

    Vengeance

How about no stacking of Shivians, or Nukes, or Veng. Only one of each max active per team? (though it may not currently be possible per Castle's comment)
This keeps the soloist safe and makes the team thing a little more difficult.
Just my .02 inf for a middle of the road solution.
  3. Nice job.

I know Posi said that it is easier to adjust cost down, rather than upward, should it turn out that the cost was wacky. That explains the current cost structure to me. Based on his statement, I would expect it to be high. Sure looks like it is, and they have the wiggle room.

The pre 30 IO's are my concern. If IO's would level with you, or would be combinable, I think that would go a long way toward easing the pre 30 IO cost/benefit issue.

One thing I have noticed, my lowbies are raking in the money on the test server, I'm thinking this will help newer players. I see this as making the game more fun to the newer player.

A new player puts a boresite on the market, and he set for that character, when it sells. Before the "markets" the only way this was possible was to either know someone, or buy the inf from outside the game. I know if this happened to me, I would be all over how the system works, and would be inspired to sell and buy other things, just for the challenge.

One thing I have to say in closing, is I've noticed an improvement in my characters from the IO's and I'm looking forward to I9, and to be honest, I didn't think it had much to offer to me.

Why no Membranes? They not only decrease recharge time, but lower the targets Defense.
I really notice a difference on my build with them. Being more accurate can't hurt right?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Crap, I need some context for this. I'm not sure what you're asking in response to? Membrane is +rech and +tohit/def. I use them on various characters in Build up and Aim to max out the thbuf of those.

If you wanted tohit and defense DEBUFFS + accuracy, you could actually slot the oh-so-easy-to-get-in-trade Lysos.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Due to the way TH/Defense (De)Buffs are calculated, Hamis with a (De)Buff component affect both buffs and debuffs. In other words a Cyto and an Enzyme function identically. So slotting a Membrane in a PB nova's attacks will give you +rech and -def.

    Yeah... what he said!!!

Oddly I'm blown away by how fast I can peg the bar on my dominator. Meaning I can peg the bar. I have never pegged the bar on my brute. I have been toying with jumping into a mob, and having a bunch of greens just to see if I can, but I'm needing the infamy right now.
    Yes I'm that cheap

    [/ QUOTE ]

Brute "Fury" Bars are actually quite different from Dominator "Domination" bars...so that's not a very good comparison or annalysis..

    [/ QUOTE ]

On my blaster I can get my Defiance bar to peg.
On my dominator I can get my Domination bar to peg.
On my brute I cannot get my fury bar to peg. (Granted I have not played with it as I am more interested in leveling, than learing the idiosyncries of the fury bar.)
From that stand point I see it as a valid comparison. I have a tool, that I can't use to its fullest potential. Should it not go all the way to the right?

[/ QUOTE ]actually...on your blaster someone else gets your defiance bar to peg...

    [/ QUOTE ]
    (regarding the Blaster)
    No... I can.
I fly up as high as I can. I fall to the ground.. I have one hit point, and BAM!!! Defiance is pegged. I then Snipe and run like hell. It isn't really a good tatic, but it does get the bar pegged.
Last night I saw the ghost of the Scrapyard. I started aggroing as many minions as I could (I think I recorded it, but I'm guessing maybe 35 minions) and eventually The Ghost himself. I was swinging like a madman. The Fury bar went to ~95%. It just seems like it won't quite go there.

  12. Can you believe I used to have that "CD" on "8-Track"?
I have actually owned it on vinyl, and cassette too...
(This is despite the bad mastering, the snares are to hot for the first few tracks)
  13. Just my $.02, I don't think oneshotting should end. To me PVP should have that "danger." I guess it depends on what reputation/bounty means, and to that end are the "stalkers" raking it in?
I have to admit Stalkers (and that is the only way I have been one shotted) do cause me to quit playing after 10 min, of just dying 3 or 4 times in a row. I love PVP, when I can play more than 2 or 3 minutes...but it can be unfun. If there was some way to reduce the frequency to all AT's, yet keep it in place so that you have to be aware of the possibility, I think that would enhance that game overall.
  14. I guess if I really wanted to I could be a stalker and AS to my hearts desire.
I'm calling for a nerf of zones who's initals are "S" and "C"
  15. I'm not commenting on how the game is designed. I know other powers "activate" audibly when you zone, like Haste or Fortitude.
I don't have access to the sorce code (if it is even the code and not DirectX or something), therefore I cannot make a comment as such. I would not wager against it being inherent to the coding. (I do find it odd that the sound fires off, but the timer does not reset when zoning.) With the client you can control the sound (volume/type), I would think you can exert a more selective control, were the options available.
What I am commenting on is the difference from real life... I know at my day job, when I turn in to a Nova, I go boom. If I happen to be in Nova form when I take a smoke break I don't BOOM walking outside to light up.
    Ok I'm exaggerating, I don't smoke... ;-)
If i really had a complaint about the sounds, it would be from the Ice power sets. Some of those sounds really make me think my system is clipping. I know it is not (as far as the signal the speakers are getting), as I run it quite tame. It still makes me reach for the volume control though.
  16. I haven't played a War Shade too much, so I really dont' have comments on that AT. But I have played a Peacebringer to level 43.

    My $0.02

    Regarding Photon seekers
How about this... you generate the same numbers of seekers however each seeker is qued, and attacks the next targeted attack.
    For example:
Lets say you relases the seekers. Switch to nova, target a baddie in a mob. Fire off an attack, then one seeker hits that same target. Then the next seeker follows the next atack, be it the same target or another. To me this "AI" would fit the name of the pet.
I like the seekers, they kinda remind me of my Singularities on my Gravity Controller (well now singularity post I5,) so I am partial to the little buggers. However in their current state, they far less predicitable than the Sings, and even worse since I5. I liked them in concept, however I have respecced them out, as they often (one out of every 6 or 7) would not attack things. They just don't seem to "seek."

    "Boom" effect when zoning.
I feel the Boom effect should only be when I change forms. When I am changing zones, I am not changing forms. It sure is neat, but it seems incorrect to me. It does get a bit old to me. I know I can change to human form and not have it, but some times I'm in a hurry.

    Leadership pool.
Why can this not apply to other forms. I would think regardless of my form, I would still be a good (or in my case bad) leader. I'd even be fine with the bonus's not appying to me when in other forms, but why peanalize the team.

    Q-fly.
Well I'm in trouble on this one. I like it now. It was fine before, but now I can't just blow by content and click on glowies. I have to be a bit more careful. I guess I'm strange in that I like the challenge. Truthfully it takes me about 6-8 more minutes to solo a mission.

    Teleport friend.
Is there any way we can get this as a Peacebringer. I'd like it, and would have it if I could get it. It seems unfair, (and anti-uber) for the PB's to be the only AT that cannot have this power. (If I am wrong on this, please flame me...)

Beyond that I really like the Peacebringer.
  17. I could not read the old comics at all. I tried, but the Hostess Fruit Cake look and writing completly put me off. There a few short commings in the new comic, but to me that is my problem, as this comic is written for a younger crowd. (Sadly I' m 38 years old which means I have been collecting now for going on 30 years.)
But I can read this book, and would like to say keep up the good work guys. GiveS me something to do during the hammi raids...
