I'm probably not conveying it in an understandable manner but I get what he meant by his offense to the whole kibun campaign and honestly I was a little offended too.

Its the assumption of a culture. I'm from a Hawaiian/Pacific Islander/Asian background (for simplicity's sake I just go with Hawaiian"). Someone might assume "Oh surfing and hula are a big thing for you huh?" when in fact, I wouldn't have the slightest idea how to do either.

Kind of how it is assumed that honor was going to be a big deal for NCSoft because they are an east Asian company. It probably means very little to them in the grand scale of things.

For the record, since everyone thinks people are taking sides just because they agree with something:

I am supportive of some of the Save CoH efforts, I have no love for NCSoft and I don't agree with some of the things Toast has had to say on the whole Save CoH effort but that doesn't mean everything he says is an attack on them or their efforts. There is no reason to lay into the guy and try to irritate him just because he has an opinion you don't agree with.

Golden Girl, whether it is intended or not, you are seen as one of the people representative of those who want to see CoH saved. Please be mindful, your actions reflect the rest of us even if we wouldn't behave as such. That goes for the other big names too.

My experience with PWE customer service has been pretty lousy. My experience with CoH hasn't been all that great either (save for resolving some glitchy itrials) . Same for WoW.

All were long waits just to get a scripted "You're screwed." reply. Seems to be the standard for most games.

TSW is the only game that comes to mind when I think of good customer service. Response within an hour or two (or sometimes within 10 minutes) and depending on the issue, a GM would show up. They would also check back with you to make sure everything was properly resolved and working correctly.

For ****'s sake does it really bother you guys that much that people have some optimism?

Does it bother me that you people are so negative? Yeah, a little. Its not wrong to see things that way but I don't see the optimists intent on cramming sunshine and rainbows down your throats like you guys are with your doom and gloom.

Unless the actual parties involved with closure/sale/nosale/whatever start talking neither of you guys are right.

There are no devs around for that.

There is sentinel plus ( http://cit.cohtitan.com/sentinelplus/ )which makes a file of your character's bio, badges, global name, etc but I don't know if such a file can be used should CoH be revived down the line.

That's the only thing I know of.

Either you believe, want to believe but can't due to lack of proof, or don't believe. Wherever you stand is fine but keep in mind not everyone's going to have the same viewpoint and its pointless to bicker with someone who sees things differently than you.

If not, I can still find comfort in the fact that a lot of bad decisions over the years are now biting them in the butt.
