EA doesn't have a taunt aura? I wouldn't mind seeing one added. Even a Willpower-level weak one. -DMG aura in Entropic Aura would be fascinating (I like mez protection powers that also have another effect for some reason. plus... entropy).
And the Resist Autos could stand the Invulnerability treatment (random debuff resistances added). -
For a while now, I've kinda felt there should be some bonus for having both Swift and Hurdle. Since, if I understand how it works right, they seem to be mutually exclusive (obviously, Hurdle doesn't help when you're not jumping. And Swift's speed boost doesn't affect your jump speed). Even something like possessing both gives an additional run- and jump- speed boost such that a player could use the combo as it's own little versatile travel power. Paired with Combat Jumping, probably like half a Super Jump. Could even let this granted Auto bit be subject to suppression.

Yeah not a lot of discussion so far about MMs. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think they'll annoy blueside (particularly tanks).
A lot. -
Quote:Or the same super powers that he used to change the day/night cycle also give his powers 0 recharge (debug mode).I'm a bit curious about the recharge on it myself. It seems unlikely that it has a 60second base recharge like RoA or FA, since the gap between it's first two uses was only ~24seconds (there was a gap of 27seconds between activations, with about 3seconds being the power's animation), and Hasten was not used by the character. There's no way to know what the power's slotting was though, or what, if any, set bonuses the character had, so it might still be.

Quote:I don't think they said that in the video. They mention the selectable ammo types a bit before 6:50 into the video. I think all he says about them is that they accent the bulk of the powers. But I haven't watched any q&a videos yet (nor did I attend).
The only thing regarding the ammo I saw in the video said you choose your ammo type upon character creation.

Suppose they could set a pseudo-pet to not gain damage bonuses from the person who summoned them (in this case, a Brute)? If so, would be interesting to have the Lightning Rod/Shield Charge gain 0% damage boost from the Brute, but send it the brute's current total damage bonus as a value which is then used to dynamically change the fake AT mod.
e.g. Brute with 300% damage bonus turns the pseudo-pet's AT mod from .95 to (.95 x 4) = 3.8.
Yeah, I didn't think so. ._. -
Um. Raptor packs are cheap. If you do the 5 and 11 safeguards, you won't need to take a trip to Shadow Shard 'til around level 30 to pick up a new one for dirt cheap (10k influence I think?).
Is it so bad to have a Super Speed build with the 2 passives and just use temp packs whenever in need of vertical movement? I bind Raptor pack to one of my extra mouse buttons so it's always there whenever I find myself in an unexpected (likely Super Speed-induced) dead drop. -
I won't claim to know anything about balance for the assorted support sets. However: I'd like to bring up the fact that everyone's fotm builds involve kinetics. Corruptor? Controller? get Kinetics for great damage. If you're a melee in a duo with your friend who wants to play support, you make him come Kinetics. Not to mention the crutch Granite tankers get out of having a Kin handy.
It's biggest incentive may be capped damage buff. But this isn't exactly a super hard game. Just what percent of the game has the party's defense prioritized over more kill-fast power? -
(From a thread about pvp changes)
Quote:But don't let me stop your Castle-rage.Only about 1/5th of the changes I asked for made it in; about half the changes that did take place were things I didn't fully back, but allowed myself to be talked into. Ultimately, that doesn't matter in the least: The current situation *is* my responsibility. For now, I bide my time and wait for the next pass. -
Saist, in both of your last screenshots, your regeneration rate is a steady .17%/sec (which translates into different amounts of actual hp/sec as seen in your pictures). Also seen in both pictures: your recovery rate was .17%/second.
Now look at Hippy's 2 combat monitor screenshots. In the 1st, it's .17%/sec just like yours. In the 2nd, it's .35%/second. Whether or not his base End is higher or not (and it's most certainly not double standard), the % increase has doubled. Likewise, his Miracle +Recov has gone up from .25%/sec to .5%/sec. Odd.
However, I'm thinking this just means Physical Perfection works like 2 powers and any power that can be slotted in one aspect (the regen and the recov) to affect the other affects both. i.e. You doubled your number of unique procs. In which case, it's likely a bug and will get fixed before we can have too much fun with it. -
Um. I just want to say that what you guys are saying about "it's not possible so you're pretending". Yeah, that's idiotic.
This is essentially like saying "I'd like RotP damage to be increased, but it's not so I can't rationalize even thinking about having it higher."
All Windenergy is saying is that you can't take a single power (Shield Charge, in this instance) and judge its performance based off the entire powerset. Everything else is horrendously unscientific.
However, Windenergy:
Quote:Note emphasis. Not sure how much I agree with the max-target-then-multiply method for figuring DPS, but he did examine it with some very valid points. If we go back to the SO numbers of blazing aura vs SC (best case scenario for auras as more rech just benefits SC so much more). We have:
Aura
14.9 dps vs st
vs 10 targets (gl w/ that)
149 dps
*gl getting 10 in the aura consistently and gl having constant enemies to stick in the aura.
SC vs 16 targets
w/ no AAO
197 dps
w/ 3 in AAO
219.4 dps
w/ full AAO
251.4 dps -
Neato. Thanks.
And um. In the proper tradition, I suppose I should note 1st after red name or something. -
Can I get a reference of how far the distances are on that? I like all of my dark armor toggles (only one i've changed for i16 was cloak of darkness to the no fade/pulse), but I've notice I lose a lot of FPS whenever terrain causes my camera to get too close to my char. So I'm looking for a range that basically says "suppress DA FX when 1/3rd of the screen is my character".
