The devouring earth are the easiest of the three. If they set down to many of their 'buffs' and I can't destroy them fast. I just leap away from the mob and make them come to me.
With the Archnos and Carnies toss on barrier before you jump into the middle and that's that. Or now Owts if barrier is on cool down. I also have the Eye of Magus accolade (Believe that is the name of the resistance bonus one) which helps out for when/if Owts and barrier are both on cool down. -
Me again. Couple more questions if someone would not mind helping me out.
Smite: Currently slotted with 5 of the new IO set from the Summer Event. This gives me a small range defense increase, and gives my most frequently used attack a 20% chance for knockdown.
Siphon Life: Currently slotted with 6 of the superior scrapper's strike.
Physical Perfection: Slotted one end recovery and then two Numina's convalescence.
Now for my question.
Would I get more performance from putting the 5 slotted IO set from the summer event in Siphon Life. Then stripping a slot from physical perfection to place in siphon life to enhance it's heal just a bit more? Which would then have me place my ATO stuff in smite instead. -
What about Smite and Siphon Life. Currently Mako's Bite is not in smite, instead the new IO set from the summer event is. Giving my quickest (and most used) attack a 20% chance for knockdown. Do you think it's better to keep those how they are. Or change them around to where the new IO set is in Siphon Life. Then take one slot away from Physical Perfection to slot there as a heal. Increasing my healing ability of siphon life, since currently it's just slotted as an attack.

Currently as is this build runs great, and I have had little to no trouble at running everything +4/x8. However I am always looking for ways to tweak the build and make it more effective. I would appreciate any and all feedback. Thanks.
Couple questions I do have would be recommendations. If you notice on the build Smite is empty. That is because I've slotted the new summer event IO's into this power. Would I be better off slotting Siphon Life with the new IO set and then taking a slot from Physical Perfection to place a heal enhancement in it, or leave things as is? I imagine I would get more out of Siphon Life each time with a slight increase to its heal.

With my DM/SD Scrapper I was able to solo every Praetorian AV in the PI story arc, and this was well before Incarnate stuff came out. Like many Scrappers with high end builds I'm looking for newer obstacles to overcome. Suck as soloing the iTF, which was time consuming, but fun none the less.
Like Ukaserex said. Scrappers and Brutes should not have much trouble with soloing an AV. -

Like several people here have mentioned. Make sure that you are level shifted. This makes those missions a lot easier. If you haven't get all the Accolades that benefit you, and make sure your defenses are above soft cap. Steadfast protection unique if you do not have it and the PvP unique (forgot which set, Shield wall?) both give a +3% which is very nice. Also one which gives a +3% resistance. With the converters it is fairly cheap to get your hands on one of those now. Just buy one of the cheaper ones from that set and convert it to the unique.
Shield makes this easy because all I end up having to do is be able to survive that alpha strike. Once that's done I have already fired off my build up and shield charge and most of the mob is toast. DM is a nice counterpart to SD as it gives me a self heal due to Siphon Life. -

I have a few questions if people would not mind pipping in their two cents.
1) Would it be better to slot the Miracle, Regenerative tissue, and Panacea unique in True Grit, or Health. Currently I have them in True Grit, and then Numina's convalescence triple slotted in health.
2) The enhancement converter things. (Sorry I forgot their names, the purple drop) Can they only enhance/improve the Archtype enhancements or are there others they can be used on as well.
3) I've been debating on trading out Assault for One with the Shield. I run solo a lot and do plenty of TF's. My biggest worry for Owts is that it will just sit there on my toolbar and I'll never end up using it. -

If it is achievements and bragging rights that get things going. Then let's come up with new 'feats' of our own to throw down the challenge with. ClawsandEffect mentions soloing a MoITF. Let's start there. See which ones people can solo with their Scrappers.

Just downloaded Mids again so I can tinker with things. Now that Fitness is inherent I am hoping it will free up some things for me, and let me get a bit more character concept (Hopefully I can have my Optic blasts back! ...err I mean laser eye beams lol).
I'm going to strip my Tanker SS/SD down and use stuff from him if needed, but mostly sell all the sets I gave him. He just can't perform at my DM/SD Scrappers level, and the Rage crash is annoying. lol
Hoping with the influence I can get from all of that will get me on my way to affording a Glad's. -
My favorite thread in the entire forum! Good to see this thing is still up and running. I have a DM/SD who used to be set up pretty nicely, but now after being gone some 6+ months so much as changed he is in need of a dire make over. Looking to get my feet wet again.

So seeing that the change to Shield Charge happened with the launch. I wanted to go out and test my DM/SD and see if he could still perform the same....
Yup, hardly a noticeable difference. Ran missions at +3/x8 against Rikti solo and the Praetorian Demon farm of mine. -

Managed to try a rework during lunch. I still skipped Levitate and Telekenesis (always found this power to be annoying). But I did try some of the things yall mentioned and chased after more recharge.

I also wanted to give a try at the DM/Inv soft cap. Defense S/L is at 45.3% with Resistance S/L at 70.5%. Recovery is 208% and Regeneration is at 311%. Did not use the Gladiator's Armor recipe. Recharge however is only at 135% global. Threw in a recharge on Midnight Grasp to help try and close the gap of the missing percentage.
