  1. No, pretty sure it does not just the Scrapper version does. BUT, the damage was increased on the Stalker EC if I remember correctly
  2. I have my recharge at 95% which gives me perma hasten and runs my attack chain with EC very efficiently. I roll with SK-CS-SK-EC, just because I love the animation and love the way it flows with SK. I am able to solo the minor AV's (Chimera, Manticore, etc) with a MA/SR with that chain, so it can work somewhat efficiently.
  3. I have found no real active patriotic sg's on Freedom, so starting one. The Liberty Squadron has a full base, tp's, storage, etc etc. Can be U.S. patriotic or any other peace loving, democratic country (filthy commies need not apply :-). I think with the base already up and running and a few coalitions already we could make a fun SG.

As stated above, crane and cobra are now the same. Simply brilliant and I love it. I was wondering about the changes last night and went to make a new scrap to look at the numbers. When they stayed the same when dragging over the two numbers I about crapped my pants.

I still agree that CAK's alt animation could be more kung-fu'ish, but i use it, atm, because damn near anything is cooler than the original animation, which always made the power unplayable for me.

EC+DT is just awesome, just wait till you try it or see it in action in a bit 8 man group.

I absolutly love EC's animation, and have always had it, #s be damned. Like someone else said, its now my opener instead of my closer. I used to open with storm and use as often as is up.

I never thought I would ever say this, but I'm now actually torn between which one to take, crane or cobra??? I'll probably go cobra as I'll have two kicks and two punches (storm EC, and cobra and CAK alt) for a nice mix.

    THANK YOU DEVS!!!!!
I play a MA/SR and i love it and if you want to play a brawler/fighter themed toon (Batman, Daredevil, Iron Fist, etc), I think it is one of the best sets. I have dropped Crane Kick for Cobra Strike and not missed it a bit, as others have said before, the stun is much better than the knockback.

And I will never respec out of EC, the animation is the reason I play my toon. I do wish the Devs would have simply upped the damage like with the Stalkers but EC+DT helps tidy up the big groups nicely

I love my 50 MA/SR scrapper and can't agree with Eva enough. Well put.
  6. My last respec I sacrificed some damage output for more HP and + resistance.

He usually run mishes +4/+4. If I want more baddies then +3/+6, but with only one AoE, I can survive, but just takes too long.

I usually avg. around 166 dps which is nothing compared to DM and other arch's but I think is solid for MA.

I took some good advice on these forums and began slotting more for HP's and damage resistance for survivability and currently am at 1952 hp's which again for MA I think is solid but ymmv
  7. Here is an expensive build. I have solo'ed without insp or temps the minor AV's like Chimera, Manticore, etc. Great in PVE, just not a farmer as he has the one AoE.

I take Eagles Claw over CaK because it looks cooler and with a high recharge does slightly better dps on my calculations on the pylon

Again not cheap, probably have put over 20 billion in this build throughout the years.

  8. I have found (and posted in the pylon thread) that I had higher dps with EC than with CAK, 166 to 161, with a high recharge buildbut that is just me. My recharge was high 117 without hasten.

One of the main drawbacks with MA if you don't take SD is that you only have one AoE, so if you like to participate in farms it can be a little boring.

Like others have said you should handle EB's with no problem. MA has a hard time with some of the tougher AV's (at least in my experience), but I can handle Chimera, Manticore, Mako, etc with not much problem.

I run MA/SR, get soft capped, run tough for some resistance and you should have a fine toon
  9. Thank you to everyone...your help has been greatly appreciated.
  10. Thanks Iggy...Do you mind posting your Patrick Fury build?
  11. Thanks for the build. I suffer from Battered Wife Syndrome with Aid Self, no matter how much I hate it, I just can't seem to give it up. And my personal experience is that while the high regen is solid, I need the Aid Self not just to solo AV's but if I am going to do missions at +3 or +4, I kind of need it.

I agree with you about Eviscerate, I love the animation, but it will have to go.
  12. With Shield Wall I think +2.5 Damage and some extra resistance are solid, but I see your point, the enhancement slots could be put to better use elsewhere.

I agree with you on getting Slash, just don't know what I can drop to get it. Any suggestions?
  13. First off thanks for taking the time to check this out.

I love my toon and concept for this guy and have so far solo'ed Chimera, Manticore and Shadowhunter, fought Nightstar to a standstill, and have had my *** handed to me by Neuron and Malaise.

Here is my build, please if anybody can help me out to improve this build it would be greatly appreciated and if anybody has Powerforge's build and can post that would be appreciated as well.

    thanks again in advance

  14. So what is the verdict? Are they as bad as everyone says at high lvls? I have a 33 DP/Devices, that is fun and so far not bad in teams, but still very squishy.

  16. In Storm Kick it depends what you need. If you are looking for Melee Defense to softcap then I recommend touch of death. If you like a solid all around set with a good proc then Mako's bite. If you need some recharge then Crushing Impact.

In Dragon's Tail, it is your only PBAoE, I would recommend Obliteration to me its a "mini purple" giving you many of the strengths of a purple just not in as large an amount.

If you can't put purps in Boxing I suggest putting the slots elsewhere.

    Just my opinion, good luck
  17. He didn't site any money restrictions a in the original post and its definitely in the double digit billions, in fact I was the 5th person to get a Gladiator's Armor and "only" paid 382 mill.

But with anything he is welcome to take some things from the build that may work for him and toss the rest away. IMHO, you have to spend a ton to get MA/SR to be an "upper echelon" toon, that can take on AV's, do Rikti Warzone challenges etc.

Again, not saying this build is the best of all time at all and I'm sure it can be done cheaper, but this is how I roll.

EDIT: Sorry again, but I think if you want a "great PVE MA/SR" you have to have the purps, but again just my opinion, feel free to disregard.
  18. Not sure this is a great build, but works for me pretty well. Can solo some AV's (Chimera, Manticore, etc), not a great in big groups with a lack of multiple AoE's.

  19. I have a MA/SD at 37 or so and the addition of Shield Charge is worth the price of admission alone. A second AoE and a Superior damage attack to boot. It's just not nearly as easy to soft cap as MA/SR
  20. I have played my MA/SR for a few years sank over 12 billion into him and never get tired of playing him. It's almost like meditation for me.

There should be a Martial Arts tourney for all the MA's (per server of course). I am on Freedom and it would be great fun to have a MA only tourney in Pocket D for fun, share some tips and maybe some good natured trash talking.

Two go in one comes out
  21. Ok thank you..

What about PVP sets any must haves? Panacea? Gladiator's Armor?
  22. Hello,

I have been playing for almost 4 years and have only dabble a little bit in PVP, but now have a BS/Regen at 44 and would like to make him a PVP toon. I have read that Headsplitter and Confront are definites. Anything else?

Any high end pvp builds for BS/Regen? Influence not really a problem

    Thanks in advance
  23. Well, some of the basic's are you need 5 Luck of the Gambler (LoTG) 7.5% recharge speed enhancements and slot them in your SR passives, Weave, etc. Not sure if you want to go with purples but I slot Storm Kick with Hecatombs, as well as the appropriate purples in Dragon Kick, Boxing and Laser Beam Eyes. But that can be an expensive build.

I would slot Crane Kick with a full set of whatever, your Frankenslotting there doesn't do much for you.

Here is my 50 MA/SR, its an expensive build, but he isn't bad (especially for MA/SR)
