Thinking about rolling a MA/SD

Anyone have any experience with this build? It seems like a rare combo, so I'm wondering if it works.

I have a couple 50 shielders, but no experience with MA.

What are the skipable powers in MA? I assume Thunder Kick, and Warriors Challenge.

The recharge on the rest of the attacks (after Thunder Kick) looks slow, so is it safe to say the set plays simmilar to Broadsword?

Yeah, pretty much all the attacks are very nice except for Thunder Kick, which is merely so-so. In an end game build, you might want to choose between Crane Kicka and Cobra Strike, but I'm running both for my leveling.

As far as being similar to Broad Sword, I suppose maybe on paper? But Broad Sword actually has faster recharge on several things. And I sure never think to myself, "Hey! This is just like Broad Sword!" while playing. It feels rather different to me.

Skip thunder kick, challenge, and probably crane kick. (the kb puts them out of AAO range)

Storm Kick is very nice damage fodder. Cobra Strike hits hard and is a heavy stun. Crippling Axe Kick stops runners and hits like a bag of anvils. Dragon Tail knocks down EVERYTHING and animates super fast. Eagle claw.....

This is the hard one. Eagle claw adds 33 percent crit chance to the very next attack, IF you're quick. Using EC/Dragon Tail is a very nice combo move, but Eagle Claw is hard to squeeze into an efficient attack chain.

Also, Eagle Claw is GORGEOUS.

Focus Chi is meh in my book, but you may like it and it can mule some nice sets if you got slots to spare.

And no, it's nothing like Broadsword.

Here is a softcapped build I threw together. My concern is the attack chain having gaps? I'm thinking maybe add thunder kick back in?

Yea....they really need to fix that problem with EC....

I have my recharge at 95% which gives me perma hasten and runs my attack chain with EC very efficiently. I roll with SK-CS-SK-EC, just because I love the animation and love the way it flows with SK. I am able to solo the minor AV's (Chimera, Manticore, etc) with a MA/SR with that chain, so it can work somewhat efficiently.
