get boost range from your secondaries and you wont have to worry about Range enh's in TP.
I cope without Stamina on my NRG/NRG build, i slot all my prime attacks with 1-2 endreds, then have hasten and CP for when things get heavy. works fine. Thisd free u 2 more powers. and id highly recommend both Power Push and Boost Range.

id agree with that. Power Boost + Aim + Buildup = ownage of PP's.

NB - for safetys sake i always launch Power Boost BEFORE AIm and buildup. Thats how i first heard how to use it and stand by that

Not particularly Lumi buddy. If you can imagine. 8 man teams would probably make a mob size of say 10 per mob. Even if they're +2's, each Blaster calls a target, a snipe and normal attack can take them down, leaving just the boss/leut for the whole 8 Blasters to take down. Easy stuff. Trust me, we've done it just takes a bit of leadership and "$target" binds

Yeah cheers Rock, i enjoyed it, twas a good laugh. but one quick question. Does being killed by the auto turrets etc give oyu debt?
cos i went IN to bloody bay with no debt and came out with 66k :S thats like 2-3 deaths in an outside environment and i know player kills dont give debt n i was usually on the beach / base area so no NPC mobs were near. Any clarity on this?

Thoroughly enjoyed it though, some gr8 stalking by Agent Skull (Rock Eagle), Sun Stalker and some other guys i couldnt pronounce.

hey ho, i have no Hamidon experience, but if he gets TOO tough couldnt every person going for it just respec into the Presence pool and stack Invoke Panic and Intimidate on him? that combined with all the Illusion Controllers might have a bit of effect right?

i dont have MM experience but have Trick Arrow experience. If you get your hands on Flash Arrow you can fire this in before your pets and drastically reduce the mob accuracy, meaning that even IF your pets wade into melee, theyr gunna b ALOT safer.

bah, dam that acursed NumPad, iv got a laptop so lack the deliciousness that is a NumPad, but im ok at binds n macros so hopefully i'll b able to do a bit of jiggery-pokery to sort it out. My blaster has a ton of binds set at all the keys around my movement so it should be ok

oh and yeah i was planning on taking medicine pool to compensate for the lack of heal and mez protection in Trick Arrow. The set just looks really well rounded and controllery to aid my ninja's. Im a blaster at heart, and to just sit behind my minions would feel a bit off, id have to be doing SOMETHING, even if its just sending in a Flash arrow at the start to decrease the alpha strike on my beloved minions.

Hey guys, been reading up on MM's after finally ordering my CoV (pretty much just to get the CoH extra stuff for now). I've read Master Z's Mastermind Guide 1.2 or whatever (nice work btw) and am definately thinking about starting a Mastermind for a play around. Few questions though

Looking at the powersets i was intending to start up a
Ninja/Trick Arrow
build but as of yet havent seen one of these about. Whats wrong with them? I know Trick Arrow doesnt have a heal or a status protection, but it feels just an easy choice seeing as though you wouldnt have to re-draw your bow changing between primary and secondary attacks....

also iv heard of people avoiding teaming with MM's because they make it too easy or summin. Any of you high level MM's seen much of this? you and ur pets gettin lonely?

Hover is very practicle in PvE aswell as PvP. i've had it for about 33 levels now and i still use it in combat. All the PvE enemies most powerful attacks are at melee range, hence if we hover OUT of melee range we'r safer. thats why Scrappers get defences and we dont, cos we'r meant to be at RANGE (no Plight im not talkin bowt you, you Blappin' fool you)

Ok gang, this isn’t gunna be an EPIC like Doulos’, bringing in new characters etc, it’s just kinda a “day in the life” of the Rangers, (just think of it as the start of a Bond film, where nothing big happens, he just kinda shows off for 10 minutes looking ace) so hence not chronologically before or after any of D’s stories. This is just a little taster. I’m hoping it’ll b quite long but I dunno when I’ll be posting each part (kinda busy :P)

The base was the normal hustle and bustle of Ranger life. Byte was sat in the corner with Rogue chatting about some freak activity. Genergy was on the Comms as usual checking the satellite feeds and police scanners, barking out orders. Columbo struts past Standoff, the pair just exchange a big high 5 and Columbo heads out the door.
Shnyet had stood in the doorway for a good five minutes admiring the new base he’d heard so much about. This was definitely the place, there was red and white everywhere. Some he’d met, some were new faces, some had changed costumes, and then there were just some he would never forget. He walked through the base, his bag over both shoulders like any geeky scientist would. He walked up to one of the seated Rangers, he had wild blonde hair, chunky armour and a goatee to match his own, he was a new face, Shnyet coughed gently to get his attention

“By chance could you direct me to the whereabouts of Disco King Junior?”

PowerSWAT turned, face blank.

“Yeah sure pal, I’ll get him on the comm, who’s asking?”

Shnyet, slightly taken aback by the question, just smiled nervously

“um, can you just tell him Shnyet is here?”

PowerSWAT put a hand to his ear piece and looked at Shnyet

“You know I think he’s pretty busy, and he may not be pleased to be called in by a Recruit” then got on the comm. And calmly said “Hey guys, broadcast to DK going out, um I’ve got a guy here at the base asking to see you………..yeah……… yeah…….. sure i told him you were busy………. said his name was Sprite or summin………what was it?……..oh yeah……..Shnyet”

His ear nearly exploded as the noise came down the intercom, all Shnyet could hear was w00ts and he swore he heard “JIVE TURKEY” as well. Shnyet had missed DK’s “colourful” language. PowerSWAT just looked up at Shnyet.

“um……….he’ll be here now”

The Stunner Freak stood barking orders to his minions. Constantly looking over his shoulder for a cape to come swooping in. All he had to do was get this chip and they could be gone but these stupid people were panicking and taking too [censored] long.
Finally, he hissed as the vault opened, he pushed the manager inside
“Get the chip or you fry like that one”

He pointed to an unconscious man on the floor, badly burned and still smoking. The manager just nodded, terrified and scurried into the vault. He was back in a flash, chip in hand.

“Ok boys we’re out”

The Freak turned, and through his arms in the air, motioning towards the door. They left the office workers there, to be bullied by another gang in a week or two.
The freaks at the front of the group laughed to themselves as they walked down the corridor, they pressed the button for the lift. The doors opened

“Going down……?”

Columbo burst a Slug into one of the freaks chest sending him flying into the opposite lift doors. Standoff and Genergy unleash torrents, taking the other two front minions off their feet.

“We got company boss, of the cape kind” a freak yelled
“Destroy them”

The experienced Rangers dived out of the lift sideways as lightning flew into it, sending it plummeting down the shaft. Columbo managed to get a shot off mid roll and take out a freaks leg. He yelled in pain and hit the floor. The numbers were far greater than the Rangers first imagined. There must’ve been at least 40-50 in the adjoining room.

“Push them back guys, we need a bit of room and cover here”
“Already on it”

Genergy and Standoff stood shoulder to shoulder launching attacks simultaneously. A freak came at them, his large claw like hand gleaming in the budget lighting. The Rangers glanced at eachother, nodding. The freak swung his big arm down in a vertical motion, the Rangers split span, Standoff leapt in the air to the side of the Freak at head height, while Genergy rolled to the side, throwing a mine at the freaks feet. The Freak had just enough time to gulp as the mine threw him in the air. Standoff summoned Energy to his fists and smashed him back to the floor mid-flight in total focus.

They were back to their feet and span to cover behind a small wall by the lift entrance. Columbo had already found cover on the opposite side of the room. Bolts of lightning shot between them randomly. Columbo shouted over the noise

“Smooth moves guys”
“Us? What about you, I can’t believe you kept your hat on during that combat roll!”

The Rangers smiled and chuckled. Then breathed out in unison and put on their serious faces…………Freak Show-Time

Doulos, DK and Shnyet sat around the table. The debriefing had taken the good part of an hour. DK had had his usual 9 cups of coffee, Doulos had a beer and Shnyet had his obvious choice of water. Doulos took a sip from his beer,

“So that pretty much wraps it up Shny, it’s been kind of quiet to be honest. The usual thing, Freaks taking hostages, Nemesis inventing new weapons, cats in trees……”

“There were felines in danger from Devouring Earth?” Shnyet asked naively

“Whatchyu talking bowt ‘Mazin? Jeez man, I tell you, we gotta get back out on the field so we can get back to training your lingo brother, remember where we got to last….?”

Shnyet stroked his goatee slowly

“I do believe it was lesson 5, ‘Witty comments in Battle’”

Doulos smiled,

“What’ve you already covered?”

“We had a lengthy lesson on ‘Villain Dissing 101’, also ‘Strutting’, ‘Thinking before I speak’ and ‘How to woo ‘dem ho’s” which I still don’t fully understand”

The formidable trio laughed. The laughter was broken by the comm., Sun Beam was sending out a call to any available Rangers. Frostfire had been spotted in the Hollows entering what was though to of been his stronghold. Frostfire was a wanted criminal and the Rangers weren’t gunna pass this opportunity up. Shnyet put his finger to his new comm.

“Sunny, this is Amazing Shnyet, we’ll take that one…”

“Who’s ‘we’ sir?

“Doulos reporting in”
“Disco King Jr reporting in”

There was a pause

“All 3 commanders are going…………?”

“Lets just say we’re tired of sitting behind this desk signing bits of paper”
“Rangers Hooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo”
