Quote:Really?Content that doesn't require teams, duh. We didn't get it, obviously, so um, surprise surprise, somebody got nothing they wanted in an update their subscription helps pay for, they're going to complain.
Really?
Because the development schedule wasn't completely scrapped and redone on a moment's notice because of a feedback thread you're going to make the case that it's OK for them to derail *every* thread about content and complain that "Devs don't listen to players?"
Really?
At the time that thread was being made, Issue 23 was on the whiteboard. The next Issue that comes out isn't going to represent the feedback of players, even if the Devs agree with it 100%
And this is the Devs being sympathetic to them. What if the Devs simply disagreed with their position or if what they wanted wasn't feasible. Is it still OK to complain in every content thread about their wants?
Yeah, we still get Base and PvP fans to throw in the occasional "What? No Base/PvP love?" that's off topic. And their subs pay for the game, too. But this is ridiculous the amount of repetitive off-topic complaining from this camp.
"I want it" is not a justification to puke on every thread they can. -
Quote:What *I* would like is for you and Eiko and the handful of solo-only-ists to stop making *every* *single* *thread* about the near or far future of the game about "Devs hate soloists."What do you want from me, man? To just shut up and go to hell? I don't like these changes. At all. What, do you want me to just stop talking altogether?
Every thread about I19.
Every thread about 19.5.
Every thread about I20.
Every thread about Incarnates.
Every thread about rewards.
Every patch notes thread.
Over and over and over and over and over again.
We know. You said it. Go back and count how many posts you made with this very same point.
The Mods gave those of you with this position your own thread to get your feedback and still you piss on every other thread with the same lament. They heard you. What do you want now?
But you know what? Each time you make your case I and others will be there to point out how extreme it is and how absurd it is for an MMORPG. It's not going to get any traction with the Devs. So, keep it up. Post the same thing more and more and more. We'll be there to bury it like you're trying to bury every thread with your multi-posted position. Congratulations on your lobbying efforts.

The Looking For Group / Turnstile system is only working for the two Incarnate Trials (BAF & Lambda) of Issue 20. Individuals as well as teams or whole Leagues can enter the turnstile to join an iTrial. When they finally do enter the iTrial, they will be grouped together in one League.
Leagues can be formed anytime, even outside an iTrial. Leagues will work for Cathedral of Pain Trials or Lord Winter's Realm in an instanced mission; or out in open zones for the Hami Raid; Mothership Raid; PvP Zone battles, costume contests, zone invasions (Rikti, Zombies, deadly apocalypse); or zone events (Steel fires, Sky trolls, new Praetorian zone events). -
Quote:The Raid pre-Beta Testing began over half a year ago. And what is being released now might not be all that's being tested under the NDA.Two new raids and two new TFs but that can be all there is considering i20 needed a physically signed NDA. But if it is, huh?
WRT timing: Don't forget we got a new Winter Event mission and 19.5. From the way the devs have talked, we might be getting 20.5 at some point. That spreads things out and reduces the whining about length of time between Issues, but it also reduces the backload of stuff thrown into one issue leading to whining that an issue is too light. For some people, it will never be enough.
While some might consider this a 'light' issue content-wise, remember that mechanical improvements (which some don't consider 'content') often winds up making current content *better*.
The League system will undoubtedly make CoP, Hami Raids, and MotherShip Raids easier to run, and thus, more likely to happen. (Those not 'into' these things will likely say, "so what?"). But for many players, it improves content and will make that content more likely to happen. It may even encourage large scale PvP zone events (!).
Just think of how SuperSidekicking improved content without being 'new content.' The League system is poised to do the same. -

I had a red and black villain once, but I must have gotten petitioned because I logged in to find that a GM changed it to generic grey.

Quote:Ah, you're right. They're not exactly the same. The hero one has you talk to Statesman, the villain one has you talk to Lord Recluse. (However, both are chumps, so I can see how you got confused.)
Tho, I remember in early Beta that Villains had to see Statesman, and, of course, they couldn't.... fun times. -

I usually put on a sideless bright red awning and casually drop a bucket as I pass the Well. Then the Well picks it up and gives it back to me and I profusely thank it and inquire how the Well holds onto its bucket and when it shows it to me I comment on how nice the Well's bucket is and how thick its rope.

Quote:Ummm... yeah. But you might be missing a pattern here, too.I've got bluesiders who've used red and black.
I've got bluesiders who have not used red and black.
I've got redsiders who've used red and black.
I've got redsiders who have not used red and black.
I've got Praetorians who've used red and black.
I've got Praetorians who have not used red and black.
I'm not "proud" or "ashamed" of any of it.
See a pattern here?

Also, there is, in fact, two Ramiel arcs: one Villain and one Hero that are exactly the same, and yet, two separate arcs. You can do one side's arc, switch sides, and do the other sides' arc.
Unfortunately, there's only one Ramiel. And every time you talk to him, he will only talk about the open arc, which is redside, which you can't do being heroic and all.
There is a warning text when switching alignments that admonishes you to complete all open arcs... -

Red and black toons are what's ruining this game!

That's usually a dead giveaway that the updater is trying to update itself and trips over itself in the process.
Copy the updater to the desktop (not a shortcut, but a copy of the .exe file) and add -test to the startup command; then run the updater from the desktop. That should fix everything and then you can start using the shortcut as normal. -

Since October I went from jack-o-'zombie, Calvin Scott graffiti, a Pilgrim eating a brain turkey, a Shard, a zombie attacking a snowman, Alpha Badges, and my valentine candy.
Try putting this as your avatar as a test. It's a working image that works for me...
