I placed some thought into this while mucking about my dirty dirty badging runs this morning. The Nazca Lines of Peru.. Crop cirles throughout Europe and the Midwestern United States. This could be our message to the gods. If we get enough people, we can circle around forming the silhoutte of a massive pony. Since she brought us 88 Drop Ships last weekend as one of the brave leads and targeters, it's only right we have Kegan run events in which she's not being pushed to the front of and shot at repeatedly. A peaceful event.... you've earned it babe. I'll be there to lay down a portal. =P

Not to mention:

1. I'm easily amused.
2. What wouldn't be greater than a symbol hallmarking a perido of peace and prosperity .. right before Going Rogue sends us spiraling into new directions, betraying one another and drowning the City and the nearby Isles into a wasteland of confusion and avarice? I have one set of thoughts.. =P

1. Converting the ski chalet to a seasonal resort open 1 week four times a year -or- allowing a $5 micopay to give us season passes to said lodge. Either way, I'd love Christmas in July.

2. Player housing. I'd love to be able to click on the portal and see my SG listed at the top followed by alliances followed by "Your apartment". With all prestige earned going to both your SG and your personal home.

3. PvE Invasion raids inside of SG bases. I had a lot of fun this weekend with my Sg and others hosting a public Invasion event. And while I get a kick out of the Rikti forces swarming zones, I think groups who are not as interested in PvP (base raids) might enjoy sporeadic calls to arm.. to their defend their own SG base's interior. Perhaps giving items similiar to IoP's to earn and defend.

4. Chase scenes in Skyway and in Founder's Falls canals. Granted, this is pure silly fantasy but much like the Fire Chief who provides you a temporary backpack, there would be a contact who appears ever so often and could provide us with keys to a few models of motorcycles (Sky) and jet skis (FF) - both would show your character seated in the same sit animation. You'd be able to drive around pew'ing up the bad guys.

5. Revisions to make Mercy as pedestrian friendly and out of the box intuitive as Atlas Park. Within seconds, you have access to: the Tram, Wentworths, your first contacts, the inviting square where 50's have a reason to spend time with you before jaunting off to RV. AE building, etc etc. Mercy has these things at staggered heights and greater distances. I can see the appeal of new players feeling immediately comfortable in their new environment.

6. Expanded Sg functions. Offline invitations and promotions (with a "Accept promotion?" prompt or Option for the one being promoted). "Email copy entire SG" option with the leader able to select which ranks can use this. Two-way portal doors. Being able to choose an allied base rather than walking outside then back inside the allied base. Tailors, merchants, etc.

7. Refitting the kiosks to add bulletin board style announcements. Select: Server. Select date: Today &gt; 1 month in advance. The author would enter: Date (drop down), time (drop down), type of event (drop down menu of say: PvP, Costume Contest, Raid, Public Party, TF, SF, etc etc), brief title typed in to narrow the subect (Say they picked PvP and added "Tournament" or TF and added "Master of LRSF" or selected "Raid" and added "Mothership"), brief description (character limit..and I mean letters not people :P).. with an automatic addition of author's character name and -global- so griefers will not have some detterent to listing events. I would not have wanted this before AE but since we have a system in place for other players to author just about anything.. why not? We can always petition anything inappropriate just like AE. I know forums offers this but I am of the impression that the bulk of the community does not read forums.

8. 8 man built in voice for teams =P

I've been told that it's possible to play this game on the larger television screen in this office. So far, I haven't tried because I rationalized strange thoughts of others sending me the usual random "Ara you suck!!!! Suck!!! Suck!!!!" pm's but .. knowing that the sight of such a display in massively oversized font would drive me over the edge.

Short Answer: The people.

Long Answer: This year and last, we scheduled time together as a group and head out into the great pea soup for a bit o' adventure. Maybe because we're on Virtue? The personalities. Their responses are priceless. The wild costumes and running dialogue in the /request and /broadcast channels made it a blast. We consumed the zone(s) we visited and one another's company and just had a blast.

And lag? We had twelve brave souls leading teams in the Isles Friday night. Twenty team leads ran Saturday night. Yeah, there was some lag. =p I can't imagine anyone who attended either year saying, "We shouldn't do it again, the lag sucked and it wasn't worth it." Especially considering that both years, I specifically posted "No rewards" of any kind. This is just a way to work on your personal scar collection because let's face it. Chicks dig scars.

It could make for an interesting technicolor effect depending on whether they allow us to color the bulk of the common form (the overall spiny exterior) seperate from the projectiles.

Regardless if it is or is not, in cases like running Quills while attacking with Impale and Lung and etc... which color would override for the main skeletal form since the AOE toggle shares that large physical feature with the attacks.

At any rate, I will be beside myself with never-ending joyful squees if we can also choose the color of Spine's poison splatters. "

2. -This- was the best. I did freeze for a moment when I stared at the mass of bodies using the tram. Skyway was the first call so Ouros was not the best option, the SG base portal was there but I thought public transportation would be more adventurous.. My "little blue hand" must have passed a dozen behinds before I could get a firm handle on the door.

3. All the personalities, known and discovered, that evening and the evening before made it perma grin-worthy. You just can't beat the charm of Virtue residents.

4. Someone asked when we're doing this next. I personally like once a year for any given event. Keeps it special. Right now, all I want to plan for is double XP weekend, i16, and GR. And the Holidays. And dinner.
