If one doesn't like paying for new Powersets with real money or their monthly, no-extra-cost $5/month coupons, then I guess that means they're stuck with just the 82 measly existing Powersets... and the other no-extra-cost ones, like Time Manipulation.

Quote:Maybe in a few years when computer and broad band speeds are all 10x faster.First of all, something that I think we could all use to know is, the global speed limit-- is it still around 96 MPH? Can it be moved further out with the new improvements to the game server engine?
Until then, you have to deal with your computer's lag trying to draw that rapidly changing 3D environment, and in computer/server lag as they haggle with each other trying to figure out where you really are.
Both are bumping into mechanical limitations. -
Quote:The Fly Speed Cap changes per level. Why do people keep saying this? The ParagonWiki is wrong.
Fly does not hit cap as soon as you take it.
I'm looking at my level 15 character right now (well, when I alt-tab). Swift has a level 15 Fly IO, Fly has two level 15 Fly IOs. The Movement portion of the Combat Attributes says the Flying Speed is 43.60 mph.
ParagonWiki is correct.
If you remove all your Fly enhancements, you will still be at 43.6 mph. You have wasted slots and enhancements. -
Quote:Anyone who fills out Tier 8 and is into Tier 9 will receive an additional 150 PP/month on top of the 400 PP/month.I missed something. Is there any clue as to which veterans will be getting 550 PPs?
That takes 34 Tokens (or only 33 if the First Tier is granted free to Vets like it is to newbies). Tokens at the time FREEDOM goes live are figured as:
N/3 + N/12 = Tokens.
Set Tokens at 34 and solve for N.
N equals 81 months (6 years, 9 months) -
And sales.
Once a month some other MMO keeps sending me emails about this and that which is now on sale in their stores. -
Going Rogue Morality System - In plain English. Snow Globe [I19.5]
WRT Epic and Patron Power Pools:
For your scrapper, the Epic Power Pools for Scrappers:
Will always be available. The Patron Power Pools for Scrappers:
Will have to be unlocked by going Villain (or moving on to Rogue) and then completing any first arc from any of the Patrons. See Arbiter Rein when you do go red.
Once the PPPs are unlocked, they're always unlocked even if you 'go blue' again. -

Quote:How can I follow you into a thread in which I posted first?Constant negativity?
What part of asking if there's any mention of PVP is negative? How am I treating a "group of people" (which you are apparently the spokesperson of) in a negative way?
It's an innocent damn question and I'd appreciate it if you got off my back. You're following me into threads and psychoanalysing me. It's getting old. Back off.
You stop following me into my threads with your deliberate pot-stirring. Good day, sir! -

Quote:Only 3 are being release with I21.Time Manipulation, Titan Weapon, Street Justice, Beam Gun, Darkness Manipulation, and now Staff Fighting? Holy hell, this is kind of ridiculous. They're really looking to blow people out of the water with I21!
The others will follow... soon. -
Quote:In your minimap, click on drop down menu and enable zone gates.Hey, recently returned to game and playing a Praetorian. I absent mindedly hit the Teleport to Pocket D... now how do I get back out again? I don't see any door labeled back to Nova and it won't let me use any other doors?? None of my other teleports take me anywhere. Is there some trick to this?
Thanks!
J
You'll see a green dot that will lead you to behind the big portal ramp (I think on the blue side). On the wall is a portal swirly thing. Click it. -
Quote:Nope. Posi said in a Ustream chat that they're using a different system to keep track of time.Okay, here's a question I haven't seen asked yet. (There's some build-up to it though.)
A while back... at least a year ago, probably two actually, there was a database glitch of some sort and a number of accounts were credited with more time towards Veteran Rewards than they had actually earned. My account was one of them. (I jumped 'forward' something like 24 months of veteran time.)
Now, when I sent in a bug report on this glitch, I was told in the response that (a) they weren't going to take it away and (b) I would continue to accrue Veteran rewards in the normal fashion. (In other words, I wouldn't have to wait 27 months for the next Veteran reward just because I got erroneously credited with extra Veteran reward time.)
So my question is, will this affect what tier I land in? Or am I going to continue to be a lucky victim of that database glitch? (Based on my veteran reward amount, I would be in Tier 8, but really, I should be high Tier 5/low Tier 6.) -

Quote:"em none" was only needed for when battle stance emotes, such as having a shield out, was interfering with normal emoting. That's been fixed.though I had to put the "em none" command after the +$$ to make sure it went through properly.
It "appears" commands are read in reverse order when you string several power execution commands in a row. If you string powers A, B, and C, power A attempts to activate first, but B interrupts it, then C interrupts B. And so, only C goes off. While C is recharging, and you attempt the bind again, A attempts to go off but is interrupted by B; and since C is recharging, it doesn't interrupt B and B goes off. Then when you hit the button again, only A goes off because B and C are recharging. So, when you hit the bind 3 times, you see C, then B, then A go off.Quote:The only thing I can think of to do is change the order. In most things, the game reads stringed commands in reverse order
But, in fact, commands attempt to go off from left to right. -

Quote:I asked about this specifically at Saturday's Ustream and they said first Tier is 'free' and is 'bought' with a 'free token' given in the Tutorial. They said they even considered calling Tier 1 "Tier Zero" since it really wasn't part of 'the tree'.Do you have a link to that information? During the Panel Positron says that tier 5 will take 13 tokens which is one for each slot starting with tier one and ending with tier 5 filled.

Check out this thread, Common Solutions & Posting Guidelines
Then post the results of these two programs:
- CoH Helper - it will show us basic computer settings and your CoH configuration.
- HijackThis - it will show us what's running on your computer concurrently with CoH. Click on "Do a system Scan and save a logfile." It will automatically open up Notepad and put the info there. Make sure Wordwrap is off in Notepad (Format > Wordwrap unchecked) before you cut and paste here.

Quote:Let me update with better info from today's Ustream.Let's say that in September you get your 51 month badge and then FREEDOM go Live. The Tokens you receive from the Vet System are:
N/3 + N/12 = 17 + 4 = 21.
Sept thru July is 10 months for 10 Tokens, and let's throw in a Yearly Token for 11.
Being subscribed July through September will not only earn you 1,200 in Paragon Points, you'll also get 3 Tokens. At least, I think you do.
That's 35 Tokens. It only takes 34 Tokens to fill Tier 8. That leaves you 1 Token to spend on one of the Three Tier 9 VIP costume blocks. You can wait two more months to get the other two, or, you can add 2 more months to your subscription, or, you can purchase 2,400 Points and get the 2 Tokens that come with it.
- The first block/tier is free. So, it takes 33 Tokens to fill up Tier 8 and advance to Tier9/Tier9Vip status.
- Though we're geting *Points* starting in July, we're not getting monthly *Tokens* until after FREEDOM goes live.
- I made the mistake of counting future Tokens twice when I said 'wait 2 more months.'
So, recalculate:
Let's say that in September you get your 51 month badge and then FREEDOM go Live. The Tokens you receive from the Vet System are:
N/3 + N/12 = 17 + 4 = 21.
Then for the time you purchased in advance (Sept thru July) is 10 months for 10 Tokens, and let's throw in a Yearly Token for 11.
That's 32 Tokens. It only takes 33 Tokens to fill Tier 8. To fill out Tier8 and buy the 3 Tier9Vip blocks, you need 4 more Tokens.
If you purchase more subscribed time in advance, you'll get a Token per month. So, you can pre-purchase 4 more months of sub time and have it all for about $60.
OR... you can get the 4 Tokens by buying 4,800 Points for $60.
The first method gives you more sub time. The second method gives you more in-game purchasing power.
Whichever way you go, it's very much worth it to fill up the 8th Tier with at least one more purchased Token, because then you start getting a 550 per month stipend rather than 400/month. -
The Quickchat menu has had in its file all the costume change emotes as well as the regular emotes for a long time now. They just haven't been enabled. Until last issue when they were enabled. Now, they're disabled again.
Going through the Quickchat menu to change costumes is easier than using the Menu > Costume > drop down menu picker > click on slot. And it actually let's you see the costume change emote instead of blocking it with the costume chooser window which doesn't go away until you close it. -
Quote:Let's say that in September you get your 51 month badge and then FREEDOM go Live. The Tokens you receive from the Vet System are:I have my 48 month badge, currently... Depending on exactly when Freedom hits, I'll probably have my 51 by the time it's live. My sub is actually paid up at this point through July 2012, which I think would be a just past my 60 month badge under the current system.
N/3 + N/12 = 17 + 4 = 21.

Nothing in the last few Booster Packs has been anime-ish. The original front-load of the majority of the thousand something pieces has all been Western-style super hero comic style. Sure, more can be done, but, they'd be variations on the same themes. Branching out into other areas brings in more variety.
Besides, this isn't City of Western Superhero Comic Books Heroes. Even if it was, Western Superhero Comics is full of examples of adapting styles of other genres. This is City of Heroes, and many genres are welcome.
Besides, we all know that almost nothing they do can generate a positive response from you at this point. When proven wrong how the Celestial pieces are indeed reflective of Western Superhero Comic Books, you don't apologize, you change the snark. So, I'm not expecting an apology for your current mischaracterization that this has become City of Anime, no matter how patently disconnected from reality that statement can be proven to be. -
Quote:I don't think so...'Sad thing is, looking at the chart and "counting pips"... even if they do give me my year's worth of tokens up front? I'm still more than *another* year out from being able to use those wings.

When did you get your last Vet Badge and how many months was it for?
