Quote:So, you were fine with The Last Airbender, Dragonball Evolution and the upcoming Akira all featuring white leads?I want you to think very carefully about this.
You are saying a black man can't do a job (actor) because of the color of his skin.
I don't particularly care how you dress up you statements beyond that point.

(Just an FYI, I don't care that he's black, but I recognise this is a double standard at the same time) -

Quote:Well, the 6th Doctor has said that he was 900 years old too... and that was probably a few hundred years ago.I'm actually convinced that this'll be a plot point later on this season, since Rory and Amy's reasoning in not telling the Doctor about his future is that they saw him die when he was 200 or so years older than he is "now." But as River has pointed out... the Doctor lies.
Yeah, I think the Doctor's been fibbing about his age.
I expect the Doctor is actually over 1000. -
Quote:Unless he was joking. I mean, he's also said he could have two heads, or no heads, change species even. For such an unpredictable procedure Time Lords sure do seems to roll human (and the Doctor white (British) male) a statistically improbable amount of times. Also a little tidbit: it is now canon that Time Lords can change gender as part of regeneration.
Plus, I still don't believe him when he says he's 909. -
Guys, I know the TARDIS has has always been alive (it's been hinted at since even the Hartnell era) but there's a difference between being alive, or even conscious and being an individual.
Quote:Without House keeping them alive they um... stopped living. It was a really good episode except for one thing:
Auntie and Uncle basically saying: "We're not needed for the plot anymore, so, to avoid the hassle of you having to imprison us for our crime or to save us from our plight, we'll up and die riiiight... now!" <plop>
They were basically puppets on a string that couldn't support themselves once their master had left. -
Okay, I'm gonna have to watch Incredible Hulk again so I can remember exactly what was said about Banner's work (not that I need much of an excuse, I love that film).

I haven't had a problem with the music myself.

SPOILERS!!!!!
What can I say?
I thought the episodes was well written and well made, a great episode by all accounts. However... I don't know... the TARDIS as a person just doesn't sit well with me.
I've never thought of it actually being an individual. More like a dog or something, loyal to it's master. Alive, but not capable of true "thought" or feelings. Not in the same way humans have them.
I dunno. Call me mixed on this.
Be aware, I am by no means saying this is a bad episode, it's a great episode, I just have a personal problem with it. -

Ha, the Moff's hilarious, very self deprecating.
I understand his frustrations though, esapecially since I'm trying to remain spoiler free. I don't even like the "Next week" bits at the end of episodes. -

Quote:I don't know why, but this almost feels like something the Onion would write.According to their website they will be offering a year of free id theft protection and credit monitoring, so check your email.
Yes, let the company with terrible security give you free security! -
I like the fact that that basically shows that Jet Boy doesn't know what he's talking about.
-
I saw it in 2D and didn't have a problem with the lighting at all. Maybe it was a 3D thing.
You'd think they'd take that into consideration and brighting those sort of scenes. -
I think the fact that they literally didn't have it back up within a day or two goes to show just how utterly borked their security is. The only way to stop their servers being hacked is to not turn them on.
That's pretty sad. -
Saw it, loved it. Great film, most impressed. Marvel Studios still has a perfect record in my eyes.
Roll on Captain America!
The traditional way of sorting this out is to have a threat that is multi-powered too. That way yo can have the strong guys paired of with the strong enemies and the weaker guys with the weaker. -
Unfortunately, with the last redesign it's about 3.8 miles away from the entrance.
Quote:The Doctor doesn't know CPR?
Quote:The Doctor, Amy, and the Captain not put in stasis for their cuts? -
Quote:Really? Not Beast Below? Victory of the Daleks? The Lodger? (Although, I liked that one).Put my vote in the "weakest episode of Moffatt's run" column.
Anyway, I was looking through the episode names, and saw that the mid season cliffhanger is called "A Good Man Goes to War". River Song is in prison for killing "A good man".
Dun dun dun! -

So, clearly I have something wrong with me, when one of my first thoughts is:
"Ears down = relaxed? But in the cat world ears down = scared/angry/upset."
