Quote:Longbow, Ouroborus, and Hero-Corp could be added as well.Well, considering the text for the Vanguard Badge for Vills:
Villains
Vanguard still values your efforts against the extra-dimensional invaders, but they no longer trust you as much as before. Without you even knowing it, they have silently confiscated your Rikti power amplifier. Vanguard ops are good.
I don't think Vanguard would trust the villains with such training.
And Longbow and Ouroboros would have been my first choices for the others. -

Quote:I would like to have miniguns, rocket launchers, flame throwers, and such as temp powers.I would like to suggest a special archetype that would fire missiles/grenades. All types...Incendiary, HE, Antipersonnel, Goop (slowdown), Flashbang (disorient), etc. The idea is to mix a direct damage ranged with an AoE ranged/support.
Would be a great one to use the cyborg costume parts for.
I would also like to see some of the other weapons made available in the market, the Gatling gun and the like.
Thanks for your time. -
If needed I i'd fight, but I wouldn't quit my day job.

As it stands, slotting slow simply means slowing movement. While this is good for runners, I find it nearly useless when in comes to recharge rates, especially when it comes to minions who may have one two or three powers anyway. I think it would put slow powers on par with other debuff powers if we could slot for -recharge along with movement.

Quote:Really?/This.
I did the same thing, checked the name 1st and all.
Then I was shocked to see the 1 at the end. I'm thinking the name was grabbed in a nanosecond.
Logged in to see how I could adjust it. Deleted the 1 and clicked OK just for the heck of it. Done. I still had my name!
Not sure why it puts the # there if it isn't needed but there ya go. Just log in and take the 1 off.
When I logged in it told me that I had to accept the +1. I didn't have the option to change it. -
This cost me some real cash last night. I wanted to transfer characters to Exalted last night, so I did a name check and the names were available, but after I spent the points to get the transfers, I found my characters has a "1" added to their names. No option not to cancel the transfer, just either take the +1 or do a rename. The insult to injury was the cost of transferring them back to their original server, +1 and all, which cost more cash to get renames just to remove the "1". $20 buck for nothing! Either tell me what I did wrong or someone please fix this.

I'm at 7 years and 6 months. Cut my teeth during the first Rikti war. When I found an MMO with superheroes, I was hooked!

Did VIPs get a free server transfer then Freedom went live?
-
I think we have a situation where there's more people willing to buy then there is stuff to buy. Devs, time to get crackin!
-
Ok So I missed the part about logging out and back in to see your purchases.
-
My biggest fear is the first thing that happens when I used these Paragon Points. The thing I buy vanishes along with my points. Bought the Beam Weapon set and the Barbarian Set and both are gone...thanks.
-
Honestly, I tried it out, but it is really so niche, I probably won't buy it. Not even being able to color it is a big draw back.

Quote:Im down with that too. The bigger the crime/criminal, the bigger the response. Pull off something Doom-level and expect to get hit by PPD or Longbow heavies.Actually, thinking about this... Why not just use regular ambushes. You knock over a bank, you get ambushed by PPD when you walk out. You release a sentient virus in the city, you get attacked by Longbow when you leave. It would be a good way to have villains in legitimate cities harassed for breaking the law while still allowing them to effectively get away scot free.

Quote:Hmm. After reading some of the responses here, (some good, some bad), if I got my hands on it... and if I could muster the will to do what I currently consider the 'right thing', I think I would... destroy it.
The amount of bad stuff that could happen so far outweighs the amount of good, that I think we can't yet trust that kind of power to one person. (Not that it's completely godlike, but still).
Just one example of how it might be seen by others: imagine the threat people of differing cultures might feel if, for example, the USA got a hold of this tech. (I use differing here to mean, 'disagreeing with'.) If I were them, I think I might feel... threatened. And feeling threatened, well, Yoda said it: "Fear leads to anger... anger leads to hate... hate leads to suffering."
Superman, which is what people would think of the wearer of this suit as, (though Supes is much stronger), wouldn't really work in the real world - it would be hard to find someone willing to restrain their use of their superpowers to that extent, and a whole buncha problems would ensue the more it was used.
I think the difference with Superman is that his powers are natural to him. I don't need to be as weak as a baby seal to want to protect them. -
Quote:I wouldn't mind Villains getting flagged for doing villainous things like robbing banks, setting off bombs, or attacking civilians. Do these things enough and you can get attacked and sent to the local PPD jail where you have to escape, but your flag is clear again. This could be separate from missions from contacts where you can further your greater career. However if villains are running about the streets of Paragon, they should at least get periodic ambushes from Longbow or Paragon Police as they are spotted traveling to and from their missions.
The Devs really don't want to turn the blue side of the game into a version of GTO where you rob purses as the villain version of street sweeping so the current critter groups on blue side will also attack you on sight.
Unless of course the game adds some kind of critter group alignment system like what's in Praetoria so depending on the missions you took different, critter groups will react to you differently. Do missions for the Hellions, Skulls will attack you on sight and vice versa. -
A technological breakthrough for this game would be the ability to control the location and activities of each mob. To create missions where the activities reflect the narrative and not just the same loitering done by.mobs on the street.

I think the overall problem with Villain content in general can be summed up in two words...Villains Loose! Now that may make you think that the devs hate villains, but this isn't the case, but they are stuck having to enforce the notion that evil never prospers. So no matter how many banks you rob, or how many times you beat the Phalanx, you will loose in the end. With this mindset, you really have nothing more to aspire to than to be the lacky of some two-bit schemer that needs you for muscle, or some larger experiment in survival-of-the-fittest for Arachnos. Either way, no matter how far you come as a villain, the story is never over until you are defeated. Only when we can have the type of content where we as villains achieve real and significant victories, will we every have a feeling of equality with heroes.

I would like to see more guns, swords, knives, and bows and temp powers.
