I assume that means when you click it you get something pulled from a hat and each person can get something different.
Ideally, we want to do that, but alas tis not the case with the pilot program as it would require engineering time.

Let's see how you all like free stuff and we'll move forward from there.

"I'm VIP, I can't buy it though I've never bought it separately.")
I don't believe any of the items are in the "free for VIP" bailiwick.

    It's Friday in Great Britain.

  6. I’m very pleased to announce a new pilot program for the Paragon Market: Freebie Friday (not to be confused with Freaky Friday. We tried that and the Freakshow just got out of hand.)

Freebie Friday is a new test program in the Paragon Market where all players, Free, Premium and VIP, can claim (only once per offer) a random free item! The item could be almost anything currently available in the Paragon Market and will change every week! Currently, we plan for each promotional item to be available for 24 hours. For the trial run, we’ll be putting the item up at 4:00 PM PDT/7:00 PM EDT/12:00 AM BST this Thursday, May 10th, 2012. The item will be available until the same time (4:00 PM PDT) on Friday, May 11th, 2012. You can find the Freebie Friday item under the “Featured Items” section of the Paragon Market.

    It’s pretty simple:

Step 1: Play City of Heroes Freedom!
Step 2: Log in and claim your Freebie Friday item from the Paragon Market!
    Step 3: ????
    Step 4: PROFIT!*

(*Please note that there is technically no profit since the item is free.)

Join us in testing a potentially new regular feature for the Paragon Market and please feel free to leave your feedback in the Community Discussion thread here!

  8. What browser are you trying to view it in? I was checking it for bugs in Chrome and it seems to work fine.

FWIW, it's not a video, so you click on the arrows at the bottom to advance it.
  9. It's always great to see Community members supporting each other like this .

Best of luck with your efforts!

  10. Let's please keep the focus on this thread to requests and suggestions for Dink and the rest of the art team to focus on.

    Thanks!
  11. We're not going to stop using the Admin channel to run these events.

I do understand, and apologize that we may be disturbing your game play for a short period of time, however the admin channel is what we use to be certain that everyone knows the event is happening for the duration of the event. Because these events are relatively spontaneous this year (I can't allocate 4-6 hours a day for the entire team for a month solid to schedule the events out) it's very important that everyone know a live event is happening.

Take solace in the fact that we are usually only present for 30-45 minutes. Also, keep in mind that some of the "admin chat" is actually done in the "zone admin" channel which only hits the map it's on.

Somewhere, I still have a binder with all of those character descriptions. I'd spend hours pouring through the stats of all of the different heroes...drooling especially over the Beyonder's character sheet.

Honestly, I think it was just the right amount.

The whole "For God and Country" aspect to his character really stood out and made the character more believable than any sort of antics or awkwardness of modern technology could have.

His response to Thor and Loki being "basically gods" did an amazing job of portraying this.
  16. I'm pretty sure I can think of a way to keep you from starting threads for a week...

Yep, that's pretty much all of our sentiment. When I heard that Ruffalo's Banner hearkened to the Bixby portrayal, I was optimistic. When it amazing, I was floored.

To quote Second Measure: "...and why didn't they have Mark Ruffalo playing the Hulk from the start?"

  22. So two observations:

    - The scene with all of them sitting around the table talking (on the ship) I totally was getting flashbacks of the dinner table in Firefly
    - The Easter Egg scene, not the first one but the post credit one, am I the only one who saw that as a subtle nod to Favreau (ala: Swingers)?

After Hulk so gently showed Loki the floor, he said something, I think. But the audience (and myself) were laughing so loud I couldn't make it out. Anyone tell me what he said?
This was the moment of the film for me.

    *evil villain begins monolog...*

    *WHACK WHACK WHACK WHACK*

The way he just laid there on the ground afterwards had me rolling.
