Bruce Harlick is a great catch for the team. The next thing to do is work on completing the Hero Games Purple IO Set by luring Aaron Allston back into full time game design away from his writing career. heh.

But Honestly.... I don't know what you are talking about.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm talking about Nvidia's implementation of PhysX acceleration on Geforce cards -
I hope that, in addition to content additions, we also get infrastructure improvements like built-in PhysX support for the newer NVidia video drivers. I suppose that kind of thing doesn't necessarily need to be linked to a major update, though.

Little disappointed about the lack of a pistols power-set. Ah well, can't have everything.

Yep, except that I would have said "Extremely" instead of "Little". -

The server and character selection backgrounds look like they're in the Ouroboros zone instead of the original backgrounds. How was that customized? -
That's a good point about having to be careful about Practiced Brawler; as a /SR Scrapper, I usually have PB on Auto, as a Brute, I usually have a quick attack on Auto, for Fury-building, and micromanage PB in combat.
-
Since Issue 12 added Super Reflexes to Brutes, does your advice from your Scrapper Slotting Basics guide apply here? I've tried it with my SS/SR brute up to the low 30's and have liked the slotting so far. Are there any Brute-specific tweaks?

Super Reflexes:
Focused Fighting: 1 endred, 3 def
Focused Senses: 1 endred, 3 def
Agile: 3 def
Practiced Brawler: 2 rchg
Dodge: 3 def
Quickness: 1 run (additional run/fly optional)
Lucky: 3 def
Evasion: 1 endred, 3 def
Elude: 3 rchg, (3 def optional)

I do wish they'd added the ability to change a character's Origin type with this.

Morale-boosting quote of the week: "You're pretty good. We usually die a lot."
-
This thread is full of win. I came here, demoralized by rejection and feelings of inadequacy for not being a pure healer. I return now to the fray, my confidence renewed (until the next time I get dissed for not being a real healer, of course).
-
You might want to include a note that explains how to skip the tutorial; I sure don't know how. heh.

Level 22
You can begin buying Single Origin (SO) enhancements from stores in Talos Island and Independence Port.

Honestly, I just want to eat a bunch of Arby's when I get up there We don't have any down here in McAllen.
[/ QUOTE ]
The nearest Arby's to the Austin Dave & Busters is at 8648 Research Blvd at Ohlen Road. Arby's Jamocha shakes were the gateway drink that lead me to become the confirmed coffee drinker I am today.

It's all about the sauce.
There.
I said it.
[/ QUOTE ]
The problem with troll meat is that you have to marinade it in battery acid for a couple of weeks before you can BBQ it properly. Really, it's better suited to the making of bouillon, wherein the troll meat is boiled until its meager virtue is completely leached away. No sauce, with the possible exception of Dave's Insanity Sauce, can hide the taste of troll BBQ. -
Thought it was 100 Infected for the Isolator Badge. Anyway, I don't think this guide is meant to track most badge ho badges, just the ones that unlock.
Level 7:
Standard level 10 Invention Origin enhancements available for sale at Wentworth's become usable.
Level 10:
A sampling of level 13 Single Origin Enhancements (severely restricted by character origin) from Yin's Market become usable and are occasionally available for sale at Wentworth's. -

I'd gladly throw my Ohioan barbeque up against Texan barbeque. Sorry, Texans, you don't have the market cornered on understanding flame and spice.
[/ QUOTE ]
O rly? Which of the major styles does Ohio favor? If it's some variant, it's certainly not publicized well enough to be seen on the regular BBQ TV shows. I understand that Ohio is the seat of the Five-Way Chili Heresy, though.... -

Lord Recluse: "Ghost Widow... I..."
*Ghost Widow pulls a towel up over her body, glaring evilly at Recluse.
Lord Recluse: "Wow! Nice shoes..."

You know, there's got to be Lord Recluse/Statesman and Ms. Liberty/Ghost Widow slash fiction out there in the wild somewhere. heh. -

Oh... I'm a lumberjack and I'm ok
I sleep all night and I work all day...
dammit Mako, keep the beat up for the chorus!
[/ QUOTE ]
Lord Recluse:
I'm a Mastermind and I'm OK
I sleep all night and I work all day.
Chorus:
He's a Mastermind and he's OK
He sleeps all night and he works all day.
Lord Recluse:
I crush my foes, I eat my lunch
I go to the lavatory.
On Wednesdays I go shopping and have buttered scones for tea
Minions:
He crushes his foes, he eats his lunch
He goes to the lavatory.
On Wednesdays he goes shopping and has buttered scones for tea.
Chorus:
He's a Mastermind and he's OK
He sleeps all night and he works all day.
Lord Recluse:
I crush my foes, I skip and jump
I like to press wild flowers.
I put on women's clothing and hang around in bars.
Minions:
He crushes his foes, he skips and jumps
He likes to press wild flowers.
He puts on women's clothing and hangs around in bars?!
Chorus:
He's a Mastermind and he's OK
He sleeps all night and he works all day.
Lord Recluse:
I crush my foes, I wear high heels
Suspenders and a bra.
I wish I'd been a girlie, just like my dear Papa!!
Minions:
I crush my foes, I wear high heels?!
Suspenders...and a bra?!...
Lord Recluse:
I wish I'd been a girlie, just like my dear Papa!! -

You can plan on the event starting at approximately 10 AM Central (11 AM Eastern) on each day and then
turning off at approximately the same time the following day.

Wouldn't it be better to have the start and stop times for an Invasion Day coincide with the regular daily maintenance times?
[/ QUOTE ]they already do
[/ QUOTE ]Daily maintenance starts at 8AM Central and usually lasts less than the two hours generally allocated to it. If the start and end times for the Event days were set to 8:30AM Central instead of the 10AM Central time listed, it would better coincide with maintenance times and you wouldn't have about an hour after maintenance of the scraggly end of the previous day's Event. -

It was particularly galling that the almighty trainers did nothing to help us in the fight: Ms. Liberty just stood there buffing her nails while we were bleeding in defense of the city. At the very least, the trainers should exert Leadership in their vicinity.

Nice suggestion on the red-side list! Would you like to do it?
[/ QUOTE ]
No, as I don't have enough experience with the full range of red-side content yet.
[ QUOTE ]
The University tutorial doesn't get you much, really. The Inventor badge can be fun, but it's not useful and hence it's not in this list. The freebies you'd get from the tutorial aren't worth the trouble either, as I recall.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's useful to general badge hunters who don't merely focus on just the badges needed to acquire accolades. The freebies from the University quests and the IO enhancement you get may be small fry to a level 50, but they're useful to the lower level characters for which the tutorial was intended. I certainly wouldn't flush them down da terlet for the crime of not being worth 100 million. heh. -
[ QUOTE ]
Something else for level 10 - the University! Know all they have to teach already? Fine. When they hand you some materials for your little lab class, drop the mission. Free stuff!
[/ QUOTE ]
If you want the badge associated with completing this series of quests, I'd recommend waiting until level 12 to start these quests, so that the IO enhancement you get is level 15. -
Excellent guide! Now all we need is one of these for red-side (to include such tidbits as how to get the most out of Port Oakes contacts without outleveling them, for example).

I also agree with 20. I think that's around when the emotional attachment starts to kick in.
