They're ON Protector. Which is frequently in the low-end but has crept up from the very bottom of the list (load-wise) over time. They're here complaining that they want a FREE transfer if they can't have MORE PEEPS on their existing server, most likely because they are cheap and lazy. He was advertising that he wanted to get in on an AE farm, when I saw him last... go figure.

I like the sound that those make.

Yeah the lesson to bring from this is: if you HAVE an idea - search first, research those posts, make sure it's not been seen as utterly stupid. If your idea seems to have merit, post a well-written first post about it, consider the effects on the game, and don't be an emotional troll about it.

Yeah as long as the dev team are keeping ahead of the curve, they can be working on next-gen things while we're waiting, and eventually phase in the new stuff without much fuss. I would FAR rather have a compatable game that we can just play.

I *am* for adding them to vetran rewards, but I also am for paying for them. It IS true that some people have more money than others, but frankly, I'm a *better writer* than most and should I have the money I'd love to be able to put out more than 3 silly, or serious, or whatever arcs at a time.

Also, there's really nothing against someone helping another person who's got a great idea and can't put it out, if they don't have a slot open. Publishing it *for* them, perhaps.

Of course, it'd be much better if we could *gift things* via paypal here...

We do have random invasions, and semi-random ones.

I totally, COMPLETELY agree about hamidon. I want to go back to the old Hami raids. I don't like the new ones. They're sad and boring.

As far as challenges, though, I solo - I don't need bunches of ways to make my character die - and there ARE plenty of those kinds of "challenges" in the MA. I grade those poorly, 1 or 2 stars if I have to keep running back from the hospital. Heck, the posi task force I would grade at 1 for that reason...

Protector has an event every once in a while, called "Robot Rampage". You can spawn the Kronoses using the Oro missions, and Babbages, and if you time it right, head over to Kings Row when there are a couple Paladins walking around. It's lots of fun! And, we can do it ourselves!


But I agree: I like having lots of things to bring folks together. I remember doing Lusca raids, and it was one of the few things that I was really good at with a new team or even a bunch of strangers.

Yup, this place has a lot of history, and more: people who actually KNOW it. Inside and out. I'd still feel like a complete and utter noob entering even a game that was made by/for these guys and meant as a sequel. I'd rather keep playing what I know works.

Think of what could be done by using the Search feature.

They don't have their heads anywhere but on good solid shoulders.

If you want a Dark Astoria that does something different, make a MA mission arc with bits there. You want statesman and whoever else to have gone and the world in ruins? We have those maps too.

Seems to me, that what you want, we were just granted 3 weeks ago.

Well, if you have a very, very old character in a very, very old base, with a zone portal to the OLD faultline, you CAN get in the building.

I got stuck in it for a whle, on one toon. They built the building over the old portal entrance to the zone.

Sadly, there's nothing inside it. You can see through the walls, and it's a bit disconcerting that the door doesn't let you leave... You're trapped. Trapped in a donut shop with NO DONUTS.

I only go to the Forum Games section like twice a year, once is to renew our lease on Golden Ace being on Protector by healing/hurting the servers (which we have won what, 3 years now? more?). Otherwise I don't pretend to pad my post count. I type a LOT already.

Yes, there were. Both Freedom and Virtue were grey around 3 pm-ish pacific time.

Awww, no one came to Protector doing that, unless Ghost Falcon spawned the 20-30 odd kronoses under the bridge to Steel...

This was a FANTASTIC event. For folks who kept missing things, are you on any good Global channels? That's the best way to keep up, since not everyone will be in the same zone and they can give heads up on stuff.

In atlas on protector we were hitting Kronoses until the bitter end, I've never SEEN so many of them... it was pretty darn awesome. I got a buttload of badges, though I am a bit disappointed that we didn't really get any halloween stuff - I didn't see Jack or Eo anywhere, at least not in steel or atlas the whole time.
