  1. I have two characters that reached 50 in Praetoria and stayed back in Octoberish

    Grats though Equation
  2. So blue raids are trying to come back in to swing... Come on out and smash the goo

The zone seems much more stable, absolutely no where near the lag that we were experiencing back in April. Running with a league or without. This past Wed raid stayed in a league, started with a few, gained a lot more without any notice of lag issues.
  3. Ahhh sooo awesome -- I absolutely cannot wait to start playing with it on my characters -- Wonderful job guys

Would be great to get some details on what exactly is in it, but I'm sure that will come with time.
  4. So I'm just going to reiterate what practically everyone has said:

Alternate Power FX!! The power customization added to the game with issue 16 was amazing. The new animations added over past year and half (almost 2) were cool. However, I still think the power department is rather lacking in comparison to the other customization capabilities we have (yes I understand it's also the newest).

That said, new particle effects for the power would be epically awesome. You don't even have to do new animations, just the way the powers look themselves. A lot of the sets feel really dated when looking at the new power sets that have come out, and have nothing new to alternate/substitute with to make feel less sub-par or repetitive. 7-6 years is a long time to be shooting the same fireball or bitter ice blast if you know what I mean!! Look at the flames of pyronic judgement vs the other fire powers!! An updated alternate look is sufficient. Themes are cool, just as earth and spines variations are, but updates to the existing stuff is great.

Weapon FX! Super Strength has color effects! Why not my Battle Axe! While this might require more work, mmm but the weapons are really hurting the "power" customization department. Sure you could argue that they can change the way they look, but there is no "sparkle" to the powers themselves. A lot of them have effects on them already too, it's just we cannot change them, like claw's spin or focus, dual blades has a plethora, all the weapon impact fx really... Just something in this department would be wonderful.

Speaking of weapons - the elemental weapons could really use some love, I'm pretty sure the artists could whip up alternate looks that are simply wicked and feasible.

We can change costumes all we want with a very large selection, we can only change the powers a bit, seems like a wonderful area to expand in.

-- For kicks heh: BETTER ICE COLOR PALLET!

It has been successful to place Force Bubble enabled players on these waypoints and exits, thus allowing the raid to focus more on JUST the Hardened Resistance Commando's.

The Killbox deployment @Ammon describes (which I have visualised below) however seems far more PUG friendly, which in truth is how I prefer my CoH content. So as a fan of "grab your friends and go" as opposed to "we won't go anywhere until people alt to what I tell them to" I removed the force bubbler strategy and rewrote my guide, crediting @Ammon for the deployment placement as I feel it suits my style and increases the success rate of the MO runs.
Didn't read the said strat referred to, but in relation to the image:

Overlapping the two teams is best, with the bulk of your forces just west of the middle building. You have commandos coming out of the middle building and taking a sharp left to the west exit. If the team in charge of the east side of operations is TOO far to the east, then that leaves the west team to deal with two different commando spawns heading in two directions. Granted you could say the other team in the east would grab the commandos that got through, but I'd still put money on putting heavy dmg and AoE clustered just past the middle. Of course this depends on the makeup and how well people understand what is going on hehe... "Stand here, Kill things, Kill these first"

    Not necessarily

Besides, why not buy it and flip it then?

  9. Different approaches for different items and total time required for investment.

Sometimes it takes a significant quantity, other times (most) it does not. Larger quantities over time, I shoot for a sure 200% profit. Otherwise, it's usually pure $ for almost no time invested, so I don't care.

Sounds great, really hope this works haha

Been experimenting with this at Virtue Hamis

So be sure to check out the official City of Heroes websites and forums in the next few days as scientists in Paragon City and the Rogue Isles discover and realize the imminent threat our universe will soon be facing!

Threats aside, happy 7th Anniversary from us to our amazing City of Heroes community of players! We hope to see many of you on Thursday, April 28th!
While this is disappointing, it is very interesting as well...

Woot 7 years :P Looking forward to upcoming events..
  14. All the co-op zones are used for forming actually -- Global Channels are where it's at though...

    RWZ
    Pocket D
    Midnighters
    Cimerora
Studio 55 (Imp City or any praetorian zone)

Ideally Imperial City is the best place because it has the highest zone cap? But an inconvenient travel? Most popular place seems to be RWZ and Cim.
  15. Judgement and Lore??

    More like Judgement and Destiny...

    Interesting read...
  16. K so, when someone isn't teamed, their name lights up.

    Example:
I'm using search to invite people to the Hamidon Raid League. I grab people that are unteamed because search tells me they don't have a team. Now if a few of the people decide to form their own team, they don't light up. However, by switching on league mode, I can see who is not in my league, yet in the zone, teamed or not.

Not to mention what is wrong with another sg trying to attempt to do hami. Noone owns hami and maybe they were practicing and just couldnt get it done. No they did not finish but like i said it doesnt hurt either way 1 hit and you get the rewards how many leechers in regular raids do this. The only thing it hurt was the getting of the eoes. And i know when I go to hamis I carry atleast 4 with me now.
it's a triple spawned bloom -- you couldn't be more wrong about it being easy. Cleaning up a triple bloom takes a lot of coordination and EoEs - thats 18 things that like to blast for 400+ dmg per shot and stack mez at the same time... Not to mention the 18 endzapping fear monsters AND the 18 menders keeping practically everything alive....

yeah piece of cake compared to a normal raid right?.... lul
