AFAIK that is what it's supposed to to. When you send someone a league invite you actually invite thier entire team which i believe is the point of the toggle.
I didn't know that about inviting entire teams.
Still, that's.... not a particularly useful button, if you can't see how many people are on their team or any data about their teammates.
ETA: Or rather, it's not useful that it doesn't differentiate between people on teams and people who aren't.
K so, when someone isn't teamed, their name lights up.
Example:
I'm using search to invite people to the Hamidon Raid League. I grab people that are unteamed because search tells me they don't have a team. Now if a few of the people decide to form their own team, they don't light up. However, by switching on league mode, I can see who is not in my league, yet in the zone, teamed or not.

In the team search window there's now a radio button in the upper right labeled "league mode."
When it's on, people who are on teams show as available. Other than that, I can find no difference.
What's it actually supposed to do?
