Quote:(*jumps into Miss Sam's lap and sits there, watching her work diligently, lovingly crafting the cutscenes that the CoH community *should* have been given*)... I have now finished my first BAF.
And my first BAF cutscene.
O. M. G.
There really is nowhere to go but up.
EDIT: AAARRGGGGHHHH!!! Yes, the demorecord got the cutscene, but with the same stupid 'the background is there but the actors are missing' glitch that I've run into way too many times before. DAMN IT! *grumbles* Fine. I still have the models in the demofile, and improving on this shouldn't take much work anyway.

Rebirth Core Epiphany: Amerikatt's dream (and signature) power (which I had hoped for for years), it is an AoE 800 HP heal, +Max HP, 60' radius, 255 targets.
Glowing Touch: The power which started the Amerikatt legend! AK had already healed over 3.92 MILLION HP (at 400 HP per application to single targets) by the time that Rebirth Core Epiphany was bestowed upon her by The Great Cat Mother!
And, of course, just for the LOLz:
Pulsar: I cannot help but chuckle everytime this AoE stun causes the NPCs to stagger back and forth, their heads bathed in a nimbus of light! -
Quote:(*growls at everyone who ignored her great literary opus in Post #35*)Don't forget that "Going Lunar" will be on shelves in Summer, 2012.
We'll be getting several lunar zones, including Moonbase Armstrong and Space Station Gagarin, as well as both personal and SG/VG satellites and/or starbases.
As the "Emperor Cole" storyline draws to a tumultuous conclusion, the combined forces of both Primal and Praetorian Earths will collide on the lunar surface and in Cole's citadel for a final showdown, facing features which are currently being kept under wraps by a double-secret NDA (although it has been hinted that an even greater evil is hiding just offstage).
What is known is that we'll be able to unlock various types of vehicles (including a moon buggy) and startling new Epic ATs, all against startling photorealistic landscape and backgrounds (created using actual NASA and CERN images as guides).
Beta testing is scheduled to begin either 4th Quarter 2011 or early 1st Quarter 2012. -
Quote:Did Kheldians land on Praetorian Earth? No, it did not. Kheldian and Soldier of Arachnos powersets are still unavailable to Praetorian characters. You may call this trivial, but it's pretty solid precedent that they were never aiming for a game which allowed you to take EVERYTHING at create, but more one that allowed for a different subset.
Right now, heroes have 7 ATs to their name: Blaster, Scrapper, Tanker, Defender, Controller, Peacebringer, Warshade
Villains have another 7: Brute, Stalker, Mastermind, Corruptor, Dominator, Arachnos Soldier, Arachnos Widow
Praetorians have 10: Blaster, Scrapper, Tanker, Defender, Controller, Brute, Stalker, Mastermind, Corruptor, Dominator
It's not exactly even, but it's far from one-sided.
Did Arachnos rise? I have neither seen nor heard from Uncle Stefan or even the crabbiest of his Spiders.
If neither Kheldians nor Arachnos exist in, on, or under Praetoria, then how can we have access to them, Sam? -

Quote:By "play back properly", I trust you mean that there will be sufficient dramatic tension and plot development once you get your hands on the (very) raw source material.Drat - was hoping the ParagonWiki had the dialogue from both cutscenes, but no such luck. Oh, well - I'll run them this weekend and get them via demorecord (hopefully they'll play back properly).

What am I saying? This is YOU! We *will* have the mini-movie we were meant to have!
(*huggles Miss Sam*)

(*squees with unbridled kitty delight at the prospect that Miss Sam will produce a cut scene which is both entertaining (and interesting) to watch and a superior production by several magnitudes of nomworthy awesomeness!*)

There needs to be a way to skip the cutscene.
It is very frustrating to zone into the BAF and get stopped in my tracks for the 80th time while that cutscene plays.
By the time I actually get *into* the Trial, half the robots in the first encounter have been defeated and I can look forward to a reward of Uncommon or lower. -
Quote:Why would you say that, Arilou? Why would you put that kernel out there for the Devs to digest?I do suspect there'll be some kind of nerf coming (most probably in the cooldown department for Judgement and Destiny)
What specifically do you find egregious with Destiny? Why would you want my Tier 4 Destiny Rebirth nerfed? Do you not like getting healed and getting a few extra hit points to save you from faceplanting? -
-
Quote:Why are they hard to see? Your numbers are in orange.Would be kind of nice to be able to turn these off, you know, with the 24 person League trials and stuff. Kind or hard to see MY damage with all the greys getting in the way. I'm mostly concerned with what I'm doing, what I'm taking, and when I'm being healed.
QOF and stuff. -
Quote:Kings Row and Galaxy City are my normal patrol areas, and you *know* how territorial we kitties are! Even Uncle Stefan knows better than to attack Galaxy City, especially with my faithful sidekick, BABsy "minding the store" while I am out teaching Naughty Spawns the error of their ways by applying the Paw of Justice to their bummies!Still, Galaxy City is pretty important too, it has Freedom Corps in it, yet while they are not striking Atlas, they strike
Kings Row - Apex
Talos - Sutter
Skyway - Sutter
IP - Tip Missions
PI - Patron (I can understand that one though)
Croatoa - Tip Missions
etc.
Pretty much every part of the city BUT Galaxy City, a pretty important part of it, has been struck.
Emperor Cole, on the other paw, not being from around here, made the mistake of attacking Kings Row, where I was born. Let us just say that the fur *really* flew then! -
Destiny Rebirth!
Before the Incarnate system was announced, I futilely hoped that I would one day be able to get an AoE Heal and not have to chase down errant teammates in order to be able to use Glowing Touch on them (which has a range of paws-length!)
Now, it should take me a significantly shorter period of time to heal the other 1.07 million HP for my "5 Million HP Healed" badge! (*squees with delight!*) -

Quote:Thanks, Adeon!Gravitic is probably the least useful of the interface powers. However it's also the least popular which since the stacking limits are per target and not per player means you will actually end up doing more debuffing on a league than with the others.
For Diamagnetic I'd go for the -to hit proc over the -regen. Even at max stacking the regen only amounts to -60% which is negligible against an AV and AVs are the only targets who remain alive long enough for -regen to matter. The to hit is more useful against lower ranekd foes so you want the highest proc chance to get it on them fast.
(*gives Adeon a pawful of nommy fish-stix*) -
Which Interface combination has the most impact on NPCs?
While I am not interested in the fire proc, I was kind of leaning toward Gravitic for the Recharge/Movement/Recovery debuffs or Diamagnetic for ToHit and Regeneration debuffs. For Diamagnetic, is it better to go with the higher percentage of proc for the ToHit debuff side or the Regeneration debuff side?
Thanks! -
I am not sure what is going on, but I have not been able to get into CoH all morning. For me, the Eastern downtime started many hours earlier!

Pretty neat idea! I would give you two thumbs up if ... um ... well, *if* I *had* thumbs!
I was thinking about trying out for your contest, until I got to this part:Quote:I am hoping you just mean that the Nova and Dwarf are not available at AE and that I can, indeed, be portrayed, perhaps as a different archetype (since I do not use either of the shapeshifted forms).Originally Posted by SupaFreak(minus Epic ATs: not customizable in A/E)
In any case, I look forward to seeing more submissions and cheering for the contestants!

I have run about 60 successful Trials with Amerikatt (non-shapeshifting Peacebringer), and the best I have gotten have been Rares. My experience has been mostly Uncommon rewards, with Commons actually being offered significantly less than the Uncommons.
I have had to burn through most of my Threads in order to make the 2 Tier 3 Destiny enhancers I need for that Tier 4 (if I *ever* get a shot at Living Relic) and a Tier 3 for both Judgment and Lore. I have enough to make a Tier 3 Interface (if I decide to take the Gravitic line) and even have enough material to *make* the Living Relic Very Rare if 400 MILLIONInfluence magically becomes available (but would I *really* spend it if I could?).
All my reward success has been running in BAF. For my four successful Lambdas? 10 Threads -- EVERY time!
I have been on the verge of tears several times now. The Tier 4 Destiny means a lot to Amerikatt, as I have been waiting YEARS to get an AoE Heal.
Although I do not usually use pets, I decided to field test my Tier 3 Seers, and I had a nagging feeling that they actually detracted from my reward at the end of the Trial. Thank-you, Master Zaprobo for reinforcing my suspicion!
Looks like the Seers will not be coming out during the Trials anymore. I only hope that I will still be considered a Level 50+3.
I also have to wonder if my numerous disconnections and frequent visits to the hospital make the AI think that I am a new participant or a (*shudder*) leecher, because I would think that 60 (of 80) successful runs would have yielded at least one shot at the Very Rare table by now.
EDIT: By the Blessing of The Great Cat Mother, I *just* got my Living Relic! I now have the AoE heal that I have been dreaming of for years! RAWR! ((It only took me 83 Trials! *sigh*)) -
Quote:That would be nomtastic! ((Otherwise, I am likely to go the RP route and take things which would be appropriate for my character, yet not necessarily be the "correct" choice by game mechanics standards)).I wonder if it would be worthwhile to people if I did a brief guide on what incarnate powers to take and aim for for different people, as a recommendation/suggestion/guide type of thing.
Thanks for the nommy guide, Dispari!
(*gives Dispari a complimentary box of "Amerikatt's Own Chocolate Taco Fish-Stix" and a jar of "Amerikatt's Own Boysenberry Dipping Sauce"!*) -
My little kitty brain cannot fathom getting 600-700 VMerits from a single Mothership raid. My best was around 100-ish, and I was there from team-building right till the end and return to the Vanguard base.
Besides, what is there for me to really buy with them? I have the Salvage Sack, which was the only thing I really cared about from Vanguard. The Gr'ai Matter Alpha component can be bought for 4 Shards and the armor looks like it was designed by Serge (the no-talent hack)!
As far as I-20 content goes, I am enjoying back-to-back-to-back-to-back BAFs. I have all four Incarnate slots unlocked and am zeroing in on my Tier 3 Destiny (the only Incarnate ability I care about and will even consider trying to get Tier 4 in).
For the record, I am not a big raider and do not like to endlessly farm. However, I am having a blast with the BAF and the pre-Marauder portions of Lambda.
I don't know if it is because Amerikatt is the only character I will take all the way through the Incarnate system or if it is because I approach this whole thing from a roleplaying perspective, but I am having fun.
That makes it well worth me doing these particular things at the moment. -
Beautiful work, Miss DD!
I am pretty sure that Marcus Cole *is* dark-haired. It certainly looks that way from all the posters of him in Praetoria!
I also think that he would look much more nom-worthy if he had cat ears, a tail, whiskers, paws, and nice blue-grey fur.
But that's just me.
I am SOOOOOO in agreement with Sapph that Miss Mynx would have been a nommy treat (ART treat, Sapph!) for your many fans. She *is* the only signature heroine worth a darn and is lots more adept than her sidekick, Synopsis!
Moar Mynx, pleez! kthnxbai
