Okay, so I am bored so early in the morning at work, sue me.
As the title suggests; Your most memorable/strange/silly/ awkward roleplay moments ever.
Ofcourse, it'd be a bit hypocritical if I didn't start off first. So, here goes. (I have many, hard to pick one. I might drop more of them throughout the day if I continue to be bored.)
NwN, a server called Tharcion.
My character first encountered one of the town's leading councilmen, Shyron Thardik. He was a mage and liked to play tricks on people. My character a 600-odd year old vampire.
She was reading a book in a local establishement when she felt something pinch her bum. She jumped up and turned, only to find no one there. When she turned back, about to sit back down, Shyron had materialised, sitting across from her, aiming to look like innocence itself as he commented nonchelantly on how the bugs bit this time of year. -
They're very healthy, and I really quite like seaweed and sushi, but they have all sorts of stuff. The most fun, is a chef at the table, prepping it... the egg-joke is great, and used the world over.
I'll bring my camera! -
Moshi Moshi was suggested by some, it's Japanese, but for details, I have to point to Hiki and Doc, as they live nearby and know the place.
It's Japanese. -

This is worrying... I don't have time to get hair extentions to go as Liz... Nor am I pregnant, which stops me from going as Aluria....
Sorry peeps, I guess I have to go as Stef.
What about at 6 at the main entrance/exit?
I'll make sure we have Ellen with us with blue hair so we're recognisable. -
Indeed you have. Start when Niall and I come back from Holland?
-
That'll be another collaboration then? ;-)
-
We'd need Maria to be the flower-girl, really...
And didn't it say formal party would follow, FFM? I need to get the old writing mode out and dust it off. ;-) -
Send email:
icequeen_93@hotmail.com
I'll add you to the list.
FFM: Yes, dinner on Saturday, say 6-ish by the main exit?
Also, guys, in all seriousness, how -do- we recognise eachother? I know I will recognise Ellen and Ellie, and most likely J as he'll be attached to Ellie, but other then that... :s -
Sadly, there are many, many people like him. There are forums, dedicated to grievance PVP, or PK's, as they are generally refered to (PK = Player Killer, for those who have the pleasure of not having come across them yet.).
The main forums for English speakers, is a site called PKHQ. There are over a 100.000 registered users, and all they do all day, is natter about how great it is to destroy someone's gaming experience. I have dealt with them, a few of them would on a regular basis cause chaos and destruction on a NwN server called Tharcion we ran.
So next time Bridger comes out with a statement like that PVP doesn't lead to this kind of behavour, or that these people don't exist, go do a google search on PKHQ and read the horror that is recorded there. Each game has its own thread. Have fun... -
Right then, for all those who wish to attend the Saturday night dinner, please send an email to;

Please let me know asap if you are not on the list but wish to be.
(Disclaimer: Unfortunately, NCSoft wouldn't sponsor our little trip, nor would Cryptic, so alas, you have to pay for your own consumptions.) -
Allow me to shed some light... There's a core of players, who actually started the whole meet off. Only three of the original players are left; Wordmaker, Ravenswing and Zortel.
Through time, others have joined, and anyone can join, it's free for all to join, it isn't restricted. The only rule going, is to respect one another and not to place judgement based on someone else's roleplay. If you don't like it, simply don't play with those you don't wish to play with. -

I can assure you that whatever the general consensus may believe, this is not the case when it comes to the moderation of these boards.
I do my best to give everyone a little slack, as I appreciate how much this game means to many of us (myself included). However, I do not apply the rules preferentially to some and not to others.
If you or anyone else feels that I am displaying some form of bias in my moderation, please PM me and we can discuss the matter. There is always more to learn, and I try my best to do so as often as I can.

Interesting to see you saying that, Bridger, since I did, and did not have the pleasure of receiving an answer to what I believed to be a very fair point.
Don't make promises you can't keep, it's considered hypocritical. -

And this bickering is one reason why a lot of people think role-players are mooks, or that certain types of role-play are inferior to others.

Back to topic, there is rp on defient from my limited observations of both servers Id say theres about the same amount.
..roleplay but judging from my post no spelling

*Sighs* I am not even going to try and explain this. I am tired of people forming opinions based on one single post. My post has nothing to do with roleplay, and I admit this, but then again, neither were many of the posts made by the person I aimed this at.
I will keep true to what I said to Bridger after his personal forum goof-up, I think I will stop posting here all together (unless it's funny). All it leads to is frustrations that, quite frankly, I can do without.
I bid you all farewell. -

Edit: A long post that made little or no sense. I don't dare leave this here for Wordmaker to nitpick over.
Will return tomorrow. Hopefully then the spelling police will have refound some dignity.

Actually, I thought it was a very good post. Probably in the wrong place since it'll get lost in the thread and the only ones who'll see it are those already involved in the conversation, instead of new roleplayers. You would have been better posting it in Roleplaying or Union.
Incidentally, I apologised for commenting on your grammar. I don't take kindly to the sort of comment you just made there.

Okay, being the partner of Ravenswing I have something to say about this. Having also read through the entire post, I have the following to say, Kigran;
I am Dutch, I speak, as stated Dutch, French and English rather fluently and German on a conversational level. Nobody's perfect, we all make mistakes, the main thing is that we learn from the ones we make, rather then jumping to a defensive position. Sorry, mate, but what it comes down to in my eyes, is that you are using your native tongue/country as an excuse rather then a means to learn.
Also, the way you rant on about GG, and the un-edited post you sent in previously would suggest a rather unadulterated opinion that you do not wish to change. My suggestion to you, is to stop posting in such an offensive manner. To the others I'd like to say; If it looks like a troll, smells like a troll and sounds like a troll, it most likely is a troll and it's best not to feed them.
If you like to prove me wrong on this, Kigran, come back when you are open to contructive criticism and able to give that yourself rather then try flaming. :-) -
Does this mean I have to come as Aluria or Liz?
Probably Aluria, I could get away with playing pregnant *G*. Also, I don't have Liz's hairlength, unfortunately :-( -
Wow, I didn't expect to get so much feedback! Thanks for that people! I'll have a look and try some builds out on test once I have her copied over with respec to see what works best for me. :-)
-
Okay, people keep telling me its do-able, but I really see no way out for my character Shadow's Grace. With my healer I can more or less balance her out to be workable in I6, but my poor little scrapper is a mess.
Therefor, I challenge you, the katana/regen scrappers amongst us, to give me a workable build or suggestions to one, for I6. She is level 32, I am sure there are number-crunchers out there who might be able to give me the golden tips on how I can continue solo-ing a little, and make her workable for a team.
