I'd pay a subscription, for two reasons:
(1) I want to support the ongoing development of CoX, and to do that, the company needs a revenue stream. A game/company that offers lifetime subscriptions is not thinking long-term.
(2) Let's assume that in the new world, the subscription cost has to rise to $20/month. It will take more than 4 years before the $500 membership is cost-effective and more than 8 years for the $1000 membership. As much as I love CoX, I'm not going to make that kind of bet.

West coaster here. I'll try to be on by 5pm on Thursday, but work and traffic may delay me. Level 50 (+3) Blaster.

Quote:Only one? How about this:There's one thing, and one thing only I crave from the market.
AE story slots.
If they 'crack' the limit on how many purchasable Architect Entertainment story slots you can get, I will craft shutupandtakemymoney.jpg pixel by pixel in MS Paint in thanks. Oh, and they will take my money. All my money.- The ability to have AE stories have more memory?
- The ability to have branching storylines/moral choices in your arcs?
- The ability to have conditional text, such as text that only displays if specific optional goals are achieved or text that changes based on whether the character is Hero/Rogue/Villain/Vigilante?
- The ability to have more than 5 missions in your arcs?
- Maybe even the ability to set specific spawn points within maps?
Really, I see a lot of money sinks, I mean enhancement opportunities, in MA and having PPs fund it could work.

Frankly, as one of the long time vets (84 months+) I would rather they *didn't* special case anyone into tier 9. If it takes an additional 9, 12, whatever months to get the remaining tier spots filled then so be it. I haven't lost anything, I actually have something to look forward to getting and if I'm really impatient I can get them "nao" when Freedom goes live. Then, hopefully, we could put to bed this whole favoritism argument.

Birthday: Belated wishes
War Witch: Birthday Happy -
Actually, the way I read this, the unlocking via time played only happens at the time that CoH Freedom goes live. After that, you will buy those types of unlocks using the Paragon Points you buy/earn by being a VIP. So, you get an automatic unlock at 3 ys, but if you have two years of (paid) play time, you will need to unlock via points. It also sounds like there will be some points given as loyalty bonuses as well.

I'd love to help out. Give me a time and I'll be there! @Zaran, on Justice.

Quote:Do black and red have to be the primary two colors or does any black and any red in the same costume count? It's certainly not me since i have used black and red in the same villainous costume at least once.
Still, who here can proudly say they haven't done it?
If the former, then I have none, since my 3 villains are Black/White, Red/Silver and Purple/Black.
If the latter then I don't qualify sine the black/white villain has a red chest emblem.
However, regardless, since I had never given much thought to the issue of color combinations relative to what others wear, I can say that no, I am *not* proud of it.

Happy Birthday to "Our Fearless Leader"!!

I know I am. I'm up to level 29 on my DS MM. I figure to stop at 32 or 33 once I have the last power up. Interesting set... but very noisy.

Another well-wish on the occasion of your birthday (yesterday). I hope it was a good one!

Most annoying thing about Hermit in Cave at Top of REALLY High Mountain is he never gives you his damn cell phone number.

I am mostly indifferent to spiders, although they lose points if they surprise me.
My wife however, is performing an experiment in evolution. She is attempting to see, if given enough generations, they will develop the skill of not being near her . Except for jumping spiders. They don't move like other spiders; they look like they were animated by Harryhausen. Also, while we know they are effective hunters, they just seem so inept. Watching a jumping spider attempt to navigate a window screen is good for several moments of amusement. -
I don't like the idea of Lifetime Subscriptions for MMOs. They strike me as short term thinking on the part of the business and if I'm going to play an MMO, I am investing *my* time in something I think has long term value to me. I don't want the game provider and I to be working at cross purposes.
Additionally, a lifer no longer has any real say in the future of the game beyond how loud they can shout. The ability to "vote with one's feet" has been ceded in that initial payment.
I certainly would not buy an LTS to CoX at this point, because it would be a signal that the publishers were moving away from free content updates and most likely any substantive investment in the game and I wouldn't want to buy into that.

This map is used in the last mission of the "The Strange Case of Benjamin Decker" arc as well. And yes, I have seen all the weird issues with the geometry appearing and disappearing. I had just assumed it was my suystem though.

My quick route to the Midnighter's Club/Cimerora blueside, if I am not on a team:
- Get to base (either base teleporter or entrance).
- Go to Ouro crystal, take the Percy Winkley mission (Origins of Power)
- Use Ouro crystal to teleport to contact.
- Quit mission/task force.
I am now at the Croatoa entrance to the Midnighter's Club. -
"Jim Temblor Signs with the Paragon City Enforcers!"

Quote:Which is odd since I just bought the Ninja Booster Pack with Paypal not more than 10 minutes OK without problem. Sounds like it may be a location based issue. (West Coast here).I should probably note that the NCSoft store is currently erroring out on PayPal payments, and refusing my debit card.
