CoH has been such a great experience for me these last 8+ years! One of the main things that I'll miss is the costume creator! The CC gave me days of creative pleasure! I would log on just to create different looks for my characters, as I'm sure many players did! Since my profession is in graphics, I started submitting suggestion for costume designs to the Devs. I actually got quite a few costumes into the game! Now I'm here to share some of the designs that didn't make it in. I created 25 sets of textures in all, but lost some of them (computer issue).

Thanx for the compliments! I don't think Sexy Jay and the others in the design team need my help with creating costume designs, LOL! They create great costumes for us (I just wish they made a lot more of them)! :P Anywho, this thread is just for fun and is only for showing costumes ideas that happen to pop into my mind. If I have any real suggestions, I just put them in Sexy Jay's Costume Suggestion thread or Noble Savage's All Things Art thread!

Thought I'd do some simple mockups -- Ardent Fenix

There was a love/hate thing for the animated X-Men series! I was happy that they did a cartoon of them, but I wasn't happy with the way it was done. You can't please everyone!

Powerstream Jr. is talented! I didn't start drawing until I was in high school and I wasn't this good then!

This mockup is from a design I sketched a year ago. My goal in this design was to incorporate both symmetrical and asymmetrical elements. I'm calling him Nice Axe after Jay's toon. If Jay ever decides to change Nice Axe from a lumberjack, he might consider something like this -- one can only hope!

I'm glad that you like it. I'm going to still do a few more here and there, but I'm working on a online comic and that's going to take much of my free time. Here's a sketch of one of the characters.



I do like that face texture it is more versatile than some of the other faces.

Work, holidays and admittedly laziness, took way too long to finish this mock up but here it is presenting XLLUSYA!
