Take care, Purple! You were always great to team with.

Quote:You don't have to start from scratch. Once you have crafted a tier you can craft the next tier up using either a thread or shard based recipe. As long as you have what the recipe requires the game doesn't care if you crafted your tier 2 with shards or threads.Actually, I knew that. But I have my Notice already and need less than 10 shards to get to T3. I could possibly get that from a single TF.
From what I can tell, starting from scratch with threads would take hundreds of threads and many, many trials.
Overall, iTrials are just an easier and faster way to craft Incarnate powers. There are quite a few options to convert different materials and rewards as well. If you're really set on using shards, you could always use Astral Merits from iTrials to buy shards from Astral Christy in Ouroboros.
There's also the fact that Lady Clara is an extremely experienced and competent trial leader. Since they are committed to running trials at the times listed, that essentially guarantees you will get the salvage you need before the game closes for good. You can always look into different global channels on Champion that are listed in our directory, but given the state of the game and the decreased population, I don't think they would be as reliable as attending a scheduled event. -
If you're after your tier 3 Alpha I would recommend attending Lady Clara's iTrial marathon which starts this weekend. Info can be found here. A lot of folks don't realize that they can craft any Alpha ability with threads as well as shards. Just remember to scroll down to find the corresponding thread recipe for your power of interest.

My advice is to pick a date that works for you and announce it several days to a week in advance. Deliberating over which day usually only prolongs scheduling and gives people less notice.
If it's something you really want to do, just go for it. If you don't get the people, go for it again. At this point you don't have much to lose except time. The more attempts you make the better your chances will be to complete these raids.
As a side note, the Seed of Hamidon raid doesn't take a large group. You could easily complete it with a team of 8 people or possibly less. It takes far less co-ordination than a CoP. -
Awesome run, thanks for having me along. Congrats Triumph!

I'm the guy who picks and chooses who goes on trial because frankly, there are griefers, there are idiots, and there are people who just don't care. I got tired of failing Mo Lam cause people used temps. I got tired of failing Keyes cause people couldn't avoid the green beam. I got tired of Failing MO UG cause people ran ahead and set of bombs. So I started forming my own trials. I apologized and said that I know its a strict criteria. But say what you want. It gets results. I have ran this trial over a dozen times using that criteria. And EVERY time I followed it, the Tyrant fight lasts less than 5 minutes. With everyone getting the RHW badge. So if don't like it all you want. You don't have to like it. you can join and follow or not. I won't lose any sleep at all. But if you think it's too strict, form your own and do better.
For example:

All I'm trying to say here is that it's fine to stick with a formula that has worked for you in the past because that's what you feel comfortable with and you don't want to risk failing. I think that's completely fair. However, just because something works doesn't mean every part of the formula is actively contributing. It's also not helpful to anyone to spread misinformation about the trial.
Good luck with your run. -

I'm fairly certain that @MistressShaana plans on running one at 10pm Eastern this Saturday the 27th. If that time interests you please contact them.

Not sure if I can make this one or not but since you are new to it here are a few things you'll want to know:
Trial Requirements- Players must have Lore and Destiny unlocked to join Magisterium. This is a requirement of the game. It will not let you join otherwise.
- I'd strongly recommend everyone bringing +3s if it is possible if you intend on doing the entire trial. Otherwise your damage output will suffer greatly and the chance of failure will be much higher.
- You will need 12 players to start. Maximum is 24.
Trial Strategy- Part 1: Defeat 250 IDF.
- Part 2: Defeat 3 AVs. Recommended order is Shadowhunter, then Pendragon then Chimera.
- Part 3: Defeat Black Swan. Destroy the Shadow Rifts as soon as possible to prevent her from healing.
- Part 4: Defeat Tyrant. Around him are 6 wells of light. Everyone in the league will be given a temp power to destroy the lights called Quills of Jocas. They must be used in melee range of a light to work. Each time a light is destroyed, every player in the league gains a level shift (1 per light for a total of +6) which helps the league's damage output substantially and will allow you to beat Tyrant. The lights respawn every 30 seconds. If people are not quick about taking them out, you will struggle and possibly fail. Also, avoid the patches of lightning.

Quote:I'm not sure what you mean by "aligned SG" but basically the CoP is launched from a base. If it is an SG base only heroes and vigilantes are allowed to join. If it is a VG base only villains and rogues may join. The maximum size of the league is 24, so you will need 3 people in the same SG/VG to lead the teams (1 person per team of 8). It can be done with less than 24 people, but you'll want 3 teams that are fairly balanced. The rest of the participants do not have to be in the same SG/VG. They just need to be the correct alignment. Now that it is active again, does this mean you have to be in that SG or in an aligned SG?
Please see my sig for a CoP guide that includes what you'll need in your base, strategy, team set up, a video, etc. -
There is a Sara Moore run scheduled for tonight at 10pm Eastern hosted by @MistressShaana. It's posted in the ChampioNexus MotD.

Quote:Respectfully disagree. You may have a league set up that works for you but it has been done with different combinations and therefore is not required.Originally Posted by Yat ManI understand what you are saying but This badge requires you to be kinda a jackass when it comes to team builds.
Quote:If you've been reading the helpful tips people have been leaving, I am sure you've noticed the recommendations for massive kinetic/Corruptor presence. I think that would be nice, and would definitely make @Vanden happy. He's been saying that we need to organize a special league build since Day 1. He still brings his tank to a RHW league with 3 other tanks though .XD
That's why I am only stating that players that lead to an uberteam build are more than welcomed. I will never demand that we force a team build on Triumph. I leave that to others.
Overall, I would say the following things are most important to a successful run:
- League co-ordination. Forget all the fancy stuff for a moment, but if you can't dodge the lightning patches and maintain DPS effectively, it doesn't matter what your league is made of. People need to be comfortable with the mechanics of the fight.
- Ultimate Inspirations. These are necessary. It is extremely important that people bring them, use them, and have enough for the entire fight. Each lasts 3 minutes, so 7 total should cover you for the entire fight assuming that you a) use them at the start and b) don't die. Different leagues use them at different points though. I've watched people forget to use them during runs and it hurts damage output immensely. I would also highly recommend team inspirations.
- Resistance debuffs. Everyone gets really wrapped up talking about Kins, but let's not forget that even though -regen debuffs are not helpful, -resistance debuffs are extremely helpful. They are also available from several different sets across a few ATs, which gives you some flexibility.
I'm interested in transferring over to help but there's a good chance I won't be available at that time. Best of luck to Triumph! -
Here are two pics of the league forming up and one of my team during the TF.

Great showing everyone. We had 4 teams on league and I believe a fifth formed for those who arrived late. I will see you Saturday for the second run!

Incarnate content specifically is a bit different than regular content in that you need to be a VIP in order to participate. The announcement states:
Quote:This has left several people unable to upgrade their accounts to VIP status for the remainder of the game. (I've heard of some kind of work around but I haven't looked into it extensively). This has also left people under the initial assumption that if their subscription ran out during the final 3 months they would be unable to renew it, thus preventing them from doing Incarnate content entirely. However, it seems that some people's accounts have remained frozen in VIP status so far (we don't know for sure how long this will last). There are also efforts underway to upgrade everyone to VIP, but this is not a guarantee. As part of this, all recurring subscription billing and Paragon Market purchasing will be discontinued effective immediately.
Overall, there is a large degree of uncertainty surrounding what will happen to players' accounts and this has left some people not wanting to invest the time in certain activities not knowing for sure when they will be disabled (up until November 30th). The announcement did mention that there would be a more detailed timeline released, but at this point we are taking it one day at a time.
Personally, I used to run iTrials almost every night and have since stopped. I can't speak for others, but I don't intend on running them with that degree of frequency for the reasons mentioned above. However, this is not to say I wouldn't be willing to help out with scheduled runs/badge requests/etc. So if you'd like to run a Magi, throw up a date and time and I will try my best to make it. My subscription runs out today, so I'll have to see what happens.
