It used to be particularly hard primarily because not everyone flies. These days, anyone can buy a jet pack, which makes a pretty big difference.
It's been done before. It just takes a loooooooot of firepower.
There's no badge for it because it's so hard, most people would be left out. |
It still takes a lot of firepower. It's just a bit easier to get people who can actually apply their firepower to the drop ships.

Aw, man. I didn't know you guys were really going to go after the Rikti Drop Ship yesterday. I thought the Hami Raid overrode that idea. I didn't have any interest in the Hami Raid, but I helped out on the EoE farm before calling it a night. If I knew the Drop Ship ambush was certain, I'd have hung around (and probably would have had to skip out on work today).
Teams are the number one killer of soloists.
Yes, but expecting that people would do it anyway, they programmed a really nice animation for when you take them out.

Last night on the Infinity server, players made the most of CoH's final Sunday:
- the regular Sunday night Rikti mothership raid in Rikti War Zone
- a server awards ceremony in Pocket D
- a Hamidon raid in the Hive
- a Rikti drop ship hunt in Peregrine Island... we downed one of the alien war vessels
