The Tanker Tuesday Tour Will Continue...

Ranged Tanks will count as Tanks. CO does things differently than CoX so it will take us awhile to make the transition and figure things out.

From what I can tell any Gold level toon (paying subscription) has the ability to switch modes. This means that even a "Blaster" style toon could switch modes to "Tank", or that you could build a ranged Tank intentionally.

Unfortunately this not an option for F2P accounts (I'm not sure if it works for silver accounts). So for now the guidelines for "Tanking" are relaxed as we start up in a new game/environment to keep everyone together.

I would imagine at some point being a "Tank" by either perset AT or by mode option wil be a requirement, but we'll have to see how things play out and what the game allows/provides.

TT on Defiant this Saturday the 17th. Meet in King's Row by IP gate at Noon PT\3pm ET\8pm BT.

I think that is 7am my time, which may be doable for me. 12:15am now in Aussieland. We will see if I can make it for a bit!

Since a day of tanking is by definition a good day, I transferred a D'Lyra to Defiant, and had a great time. Thank you Defiant. After we broke up I joined an iTails league, doing a MoM, the voids quit responding to taunt. I have an immob, by the time I pulled my head out, immob the voids, pull Penny to the void, we ran out of time. Apologies to all for a second rate tanking effort. Still there are a couple more TTs on the schedule and will try and make it to them. Thanks again Defiant.

Well, I went to my first Tanker Tuesday on Nov 20th and had a great time. We split into two teams - mine did an ITF. Thanks for hosting this.

Hi all,

Although it is hard for me to post this, the last TT will take place November 27th on Pinnacle.

I hope to see you all there one more time.

Just some numbers so you all can be as proud of what we've accomplished as I am.

Justice's start date for TT as a regular event, 8/11/09 (we actually started what were called "reloads" prior to this date). The Justice TT date is significant because it is the "line in the sand" that heralded the start of TTs every Tuesday, not just once a month. So roughly over 171 TTs on the Tour (over 183 if you start counting from when Pep started the first tour). Needless to say this is quite and achievement.

As we expand out from CoX and land in various other games, let's keep the ideals that made TT so great alive in other MMOs. When you start a TT, Make sure every Tank gets a team, Follow the Tank, and when all else fails "Blame Rangle".

It's been an incredible honor for me to play the part I have in this event, see you on Tuesday.

My first tank, made back at the issue 2/3 time frame, reached 50 in issue 3, is on Pinnacle. I ran out of server slots on Champion, and when you had to buy server transfers, I thought about deleting her, moment of insanity there, paid the price. How I picked Pinnacle, no idea. But, in strange turn of events spamming over years, my first tank is on the server doing the last Tanker Tuesday. The poor girl has been neglected, still has the SOs from issue 3 slotted. It does seem fitting though, my first on the last. See you all there.

I got sucked into Tanker Tuesdays when Pep Rally asked on the forums if the the Champion Tanker Tuesday folks should take TTs on "Tour" of the other servers. I, of course, voted that yes, I'd like to see it come to the Justice Server... and once it did I was hooked. Even more so when it became an every Tuesday thing.

It's been a load of fun, and I'll certainly miss that aspect of this game. Hopefully I'll get to play with you meat hea...er, meat shields in other games.

I really don't remember when I started but I know I hated tanks and didn't much care for blue side, till the TT tour came to Triumph. Only took one run and I was making a tank on every server.

The tanker events have been one of the great things about this game and I will miss them. Going to be hard to move on but life makes us do it whether we want to or not.

TT attracts good peeps and I wish you all the best and hope to see you in some other place, leading the charge and saving the squishies.

Thank you all for starting this. Thank you more for keeping it going to the end. I haven't always been in attendance. Over the last year or so, I haven't been on much, foolishly thinking that the game would always be there for me. But since the bombshell hit, it's one of the few things that's been able to motivate me to play, and my final level 50 dinged on a Tanker Tuesday on Champion.

When purple drops and incarnate shards don't matter any more, and really they never did. It's the people. Thanks for being there, and thanks for being tanks.

In all seriousness though guys, it's been a privilege.

I know, people way WAY overuse "an honor and a privilege", but I genuinely feel this way.

It's been great getting to know all of you. Whether it was the people I only saw once or twice at random events. Or the regulars. Or the leadership brigade. Or even the radio guys off "striking a pose". Not gonna name any names. I'd wind up leaving someone out who really deserves mention (technically ALL of you).

I learned quite a bit about tanking at these events and hope that I was able to pay back on that somewhat for others.

Not to mention the OBSCENE amount of butt-kickery that happened over the entire time. Extreme levels of mega-violence can sometimes be its own attraction.

Hell ANYONE who puts up with my blathering throughout an event is up for sainthood!
