Full Fury

Has anyone ever achieved it? I mean, sheesh, I just finished a session with my brute and MAN was I both taking and giving a beating! Yet still, 80%, and that INCLUDES the fury proc from the brute's ATO. Anyways, is full fury feasible?

Probably not. I don't know the exact formula fury uses to determine itself, but I imagine it can only approach 100% and never actually achieve that. It seems to cap out at around 70%-ish during "normal" play.

The Villain alignment power, Frenzy, puts you at 100 fury instantly (although it then decays normally). You can reach 100 fury in extended fights with an attack chain that properly leverages the brute ATO proc.

Other than that, yeah, it's functionally impossible.

Edit: "properly leverage" here having the meaning of "abuse the hell out of"

I did a lot of testing when fury first appeared and Jonyu was the Brute AT rep. He was a dev. Anyways, back then Castle told me fury gains were dependent on the class of the attacker. I think this may still be true today because I had an interesting experiment.

I ran Mender Lazarus's arc, where you beat the 5th Column, and in the final mission you fight 3 AVs at once. During the fight Requiem has tons of ambushes attack you.

Here is what is interesting, I was using the Brute fury proc and I stopped for a bit and I noticed my fury stayed at 95+ fury. It did not decrease.

This means either:

A) The AV's constant attacks kept me maintaining the fury.

B) I somehow broke the aggro cap and I had more then 15 oppponents attackin me at once.

I can reach 90-100% Fury maintained in farming...in normal play, I expect to reach 75-85% Fury even leveraging the ATO Fury proc.

Yes, you can get and maintain max fury with using frenzy and the properly slotting you ATO. You pop frenzy at the start or inc of the mob and then make sure you hit your ATO power when ever it is up. I find putting your ATO fury proc in a power with base 8-15 sec recharge time has the best effect on maintain max fury. This way you get decent to good return from your power and global recharge as well as getting global proc off alot.

Same experience for me.

I miss the bug that set your Fury to 100% on each Patron attack (and powers that exist in Patron pools). Having full Fury right after using Power Sink was fun.

And yes, that's the only time I've achieved it since I don't have the Fury proc and since GR none of my Brutes have picked up Frenzy (all but one are either rogues or heroes).

For me it depends on how hard I'm playing. Prior to the Brute changes I could get 95-100% consistently. Now I really have to go all-balls-out to get 90-95%. Last time I saw anything in that range I was tanking Rommy, Reqqy and the Phalanx in the 2nd-to-last of the ITF on my Dark/Dark/Soul.

Hmm, right now I have the proc slotted in Whirling Smash on my TW/ELEC brute, which is what I normally open my attack chain with. Do you think it'd be more beneficial in something like Lightning Field?

I had it in Follow up for a while. I find the ATO proc works MUCH better in focus. Give it a try.

ATO proc works best in Follow Through in TW. If you run the top chain with BM, you will use FT 3 times in that chain and base recharge is longer than Follow Up.

Follow up is better due to the 100% proc rate, currently. Focus had a shorter base recharge, which translates to a far less chance to fire. Besides, my Focus slotting is too tight as it is.

Yea the math works better with follow up but in reality the ranged aspect of focus is such a huge edge is dwarfs the math.

Could you explain how?

I ask because I always have a target for Follow up, so I don't understand how range could benefit my proc chances.
