Miss Ozarks is free to play and is unable to put her build on this site so i told her i would do it for her. She has her post on All ACCESS: Player Questions forum, but over 100 viewers not one person helped her out and that is pretty sad for someone who been away from the game and wanting to make a comeback. Here is her build she said she is having problem with it, trying it out and stuff not working out correctly, i know nothing of the brute class so maybe some nice brute experts be able to help her by seeing what is wrong with her build and fixing it or redoing it the correct way, thanks all

The SO build looks ok, though I probably wouldn't have spent so many slots on build up (just 3 rech there). I have mixed feelings about fire breath, too, but to each their own, there. What sort of problems is she having? I'd want the fighting pool as well (boxing or kick, tough, and weave). If she's got a respec available, she could put build up off until later in the build, drop air superiority, and grab weave as her next power. Combat Jumping also offers a small slice of defense and some combat mobility, for very little end and minimal slot expenditure. At some point, she'll want to do something for kb protection, too. This means leaping pool for a travel power if IOs aren't an option (for acrobatics).

My 2 inf, anyway.

Hi, I talked to miss ozarks, she and I checked out that fire/fire brute quide.
The more I read thru that quide, I would have to agree his build is terrible and lacking, but I told miss ozarks it's up to her if she wants it or not.
Thank you for posting the IO build BUT the above post of hers says she is free to play. So the build does her no good since she cannot use IO's and she does not know how to convert the build into a SO build, I can't help her, I'm still learning the game myself lol

She has told me she is dieting a lot, she said she also read others post that says by time she hits lvl 30 BURN really shines but slotting on burn is very late in the game,stuff like that, I have no idea what all this stuff means or how I can help her, so if her build is a solid build then I'll relay it to her or she can read it here as far as IO's goes, she is free to play===cannot use IO's.

I think I'll leave all this and everyone's advice and builds up to her to read and figure out, all this brute stuff I have no idea and far as builds goes,heck I cannot even write my own builds correctly lol

I know you meant she is dying a lot instead of dieting a lot, but that typo brought a huge smile to my face and probably made my day a bit brighter

Dying a lot on a fire/Fire Brute or scrapper in the early levels before you get Healing Flame, Consume, Fire Sword Circle, and Burn slotted is part of the animal..I look at it as the dues you have to pay to get a blazing monster of a toon.

I think not a lot of people are responding because most of us are using IOs and do not remember what it is like to play with just SOs..and... just like everyone is different, everyone also has different requirements they demand from a build.

Some people look at a pure resistance toon and instead of building for defense, because there is nothing to stack the defense with, they build for endurance, accuracy,and recharge...lots and lots of recharge.

Other people try to shoehorn lots of defense into to this pure resistance build and sometimes find they lack damage, acc, and endurance because they do so. I say sometimes, because there are a lot of brilliant, and influence rich people out there who can have their cake and eat it too.

My advice to you is to play to actually play your toon, don't power level it. As you play it, you will get a feel for what you need to enhance.

On SOs, I would say one endurance because you need endurance to keep on fighting, two acc because you need to actually hit the enemy to defeat him, and the rest damage because Fire loves damage

Get Tough for sure because it does add to survivability.

Air Sup will keep the enemy on their butts, and an enemy on their butt will not be attacking you.

Fire Breath, well, I never take it on my Fire/Fire scrap and Brute.

Issue 24 is bringing a lot of exciting new additions to the pool powers, so don't set your build in stone yet

Edit-I was shoveling scrambled eggs into my mouth when I realized I had left something out...if you are happy with what one acc gives you, you can use one End, one Acc, one Recharge, and three Damage...now I have to do my Dagwood Bumstead imitation and dash out the door.

One accuracy is generally sufficient.

The only time you need more than that is if you are fighting a lot of enemies that are higher level than you, and to be honest, with an SO Fire/Fire brute....that would be an exercise in frustration anyway.

I'll explain.

One accuracy adds around 33% enhancement to the power it is in.

Base To-Hit on most powers is 75%.

33% of 75 is 25, so you are adding an additional 25% to your base To-Hit of 75%.

That would put you at 100% To-Hit, which is impossible due to the fact that it will always cap at 95% no matter how much more you add.

Well, against even-cons with no defense.

I usually slot two SOs worth of accuracy for +1/+2s because while it's overkill in most situations at +1, it would let me hit mobs with low- to mid-levels of defense/tohit debuffs reliably at +1 as well as not-quite capping at +2.

At +1 it's 65% + 33% = 86.45% with one SO compared to capped (107.9%) at 95% with two, and at +2 (56% base tohit) you're at 74.48% with one SO or 92.96% with two.

My normal SO slotting on Brutes is 2 accuracy to start, then 1-2 endurance reduction depending on secondary, and 1-2 damage as slots become available for them. Fury takes care of the damage until I get more slots available to boost it further.

I like the build dead boy posted above. I find that unless she's going to be doing strictly fire damaging content however that she would benefit by trading Temperature protection out for consume.

Move the 3rd slotted Endred out of both Blazing Aura and Acrobatics and into Physical Perfection and Superior Conditioning. Net Endurance Recovery will be higher. The 3rd Endred is too heavily effected by ED to be more valuable than a second Endmod in PP and SC.
