New fighting and presence pool powers?

I don't think anyone's mentioned it yet in this topic (and if you have, I apologize), but it sounds like you'll only have to take only one other Fighting power to get Weave, instead of two. That is also a fairly big change.

A second thing I haven't seen mentioned is that, from what I could see in the video, Kick is going to be changed from Knockback to Knockdown, which will also make it a lot more useful for melee builds.

I'm still mainly excited about Sorcery (only mentioned in passing in this particular coffee talk), though. I hope they delve into its mysteries sooner rather than later.

WOOT! >>>BRAWL GETS FRENNED!!<<<

HA, all you 'Nerf Brawl!' people! Brawling Humiliator will be my first Respec just to get Boxing, Kick, and Cross Punch so that Brawl is even more awesomer than it is now. Since he doesn't have to USE the powers, just HAVE them, it's legal, and like a Set IO bonus. Chances for Negative tohit, recharge, recovery, and regen?

MUAHAAHAHAAA!!! With a 1.49 seconds with Hasten, or 1.69 without, total power cycle on Brawl, that's a LOT of chances for some good handy stuff.

Win. Moar, plz. And if there was maybe some chance for +dmg added at the end of the development, I won't complain. Heh.

/Can't believe I'm going to actually respec something.
//And that THIS is the one it's gonna happen to.

So you can have an attack chain just using Fighting and Brawl.

Main concern is this is very binary, and AT dependant. You either want is all, and it replaces most of your attacks (Tankers, Brutes, and maybe MMs, Defenders and melee Crabs). Or, because it doesn't proc crits, the attacks remain a poor choice (Scrappers, Stalkers, Corruptors, Controllers etc). Will it be possible to get Tough and Weave without any of the attacks?

On the Presence note, you mention the single-target Taunt becoming a single-target ranged Placate, but Unrelenting is the new tier 5 power in the set, and it's also pretty cool. Using it gives you a moderate Heal over Time, a moderate Recharge bonus, a moderate Damage bonus, and a moderate Recovery bonus. Additionally, you can use it while defeated, restoring a moderate amount of health and endurance to you if used in this manner.
= the new Hasten?

Main concern here is that some of the new Presence abilities look like improved versions of existing secondary powers (Scare, Smoke Flash, Revive)!

I really should do something about this signature.

Note: A Controller's Brawl does get the Containment bonus.

Indeed it does... I have a plant/nature controller concept in mind that will have the whole fighting pool!

I'm a little sad about Unrelenting. I would *love* to take it on my /Ela Brute, but I really doubt I can free up two more power spots for the (essentially useless) pre-reqs.

Would those brawl debuffs be enhanceable? Seems unlikely since they aren't always part of the power. Still, that would be neat in a way.

No, they wouldn't be. You could still slot brawl for damage and accuracy though.

I too was thinking that these changes to the Fighting pool are a tremendous buff to Man builds. I don't have a Man character yet, but this really intrigues me. I can't wait to hear what the other pool changes are. Maybe the day is coming where a Man character wouldn't be a leech on a team and that rule could be set aside without being considered a cheat.
