Beacons...

Will it ever be possible to add Villain side beacons (and vice versa) in a Hero side base? Now that we have the ability to "visit" the villain side and even Praetoria (will there ever be beacons for Praetoria?). Now that we have hacked telepads where we can add up to 6 zones, I believe that we would be able to have 8 or 10 hacked telepads in a base for all the locations. I know it only takes 4 hacked telepads for the hero side beacons.....

I am asking because I do not believe that I have seen anything regarding this. If there has been something addressing this please direct me to it. Thanks!

According to Zwillinger and Synapse, the base editor is likely to be left as-is because any attempts at changing the base coding is "like playing Jenga on fire".

They'd have to code in whatever tech is used for the Vangard portals and Pocket D into bases before we could get cross-faction beacons... the code that prevents heroes from using the redside portal/elevator and vice-versa. The Praet zones shouldn't be an issue, as both heroes and villains can access those zones.

But yeah, coding is involved and everyone's too scared to touch it =/

Well there's what has already been said about the code then there's this little beauty from the devs by way of Impish Kat which also seems to be ringing very true these days:

My take on that is that stuff like the Tunnel Teleport system is supposed to be the "answer" for player travel needs (at least as far as Praetoria is concerned) in lieu of more base beacons.
