Super Group Base Transfer Token

I wish for a SG base transfer token where you can transfer your SG base from 1 server to another! That would be awesome!

As a devil's advocate - who gets to choose whether and which server to transfer to if there is more than one player in the SG?

This.

Your suggestion sounds, to me, like a flat-out assumption that everyone uses solo SGs.

Uhhmm, wouldn't this kick all of your heroes out of your SG? I don't see this working at all.

I rather have the power to invite poeple from the other severs to my SG Including my self.

The technical issues make this all but impossible.

  • What happens to the rest of the supergroup?
  • What happens if there's a name clash? Who keeps the name?
  • How could a supergroup base be feasibly 'transferred'? Considering some bases are exceedingly complex
  • Who is allowed to use the token? The group leader?

If all of these can be solved and overcome without devoting several months of work to where other things (Like powersets) could be worked on, then i'll /sign it.

Until then, consider this unsigned.

I was doing some playthroughs of City of Heroes. Now they will serve as memories of a better time ...

Back when Freedom was announced the devs stated that they were looking into the feasibility of doing this (primarily for VIPs who wanted to transfer to Exalted) but that there were major technical issues associated with it. Given that it never appeared I'm guessing that they decided the effort required to make it work without breaking anything was not worth it.

This issue is already resolved. As far as the GMs/Paragon Studios are concerned it's the Leader. There's only one person with that rank and all customer service responses are basically along the line of, "The Leader can do what they wish." The Leader is always free to loot all of the storage for personal gain, kick any character, delete the base, or even dissolve the entire group at a whim. That's why they added that category in the first place, to make it easy to handle any complaints about supergroups.

Not that I expect this suggestion to happen. Not against it really, but I don't see it happening without a complete redesign of the Base system. And I sincerely doubt Paragon Studios is ever going to do that.

Damn. I can't find the thread this happened in, but just a few months ago a redname posted in a thread where what Super Leaders can and can't do was mentioned and the redname flat out said the exact opposite and that CS looks into those disputes.

I got the distinct impression that the sudden flip flop statement was used to avoid admitting they have no intention of doing any significant development on bases.

Impish Kat also got a similar brush off on another base suggestion.

Or at least if you quit the SG, have all the Prestige points you made for the SG back at you. If that option for an SG transfer base is impossible.

Prestige doesn't belong to you it belongs to the SG.

/this.

Especially since, 1-25, it's not *costing* you anything to "make" that prestige. And if you're on eof the first (or, depending on how you look at it, last) 15, you don't do *anything* to add the bonus prestige to the group other than exist.
