Inherent. From the related form inhere (to be an essential or intrinsic part of; to be fixed or permanently incorporated with something). From the same Latin root from which we derive coherent and adherent.
Unless your powerset died and left you the costume change emote in its will, it's not inherited.

For the OP: We already have this for Kheldians, so I wouldn't see it being a huge stretch *in theory.* It's more a question of "ok, so what do I do for THIS powerset?" Some primaries just aren't that... well, interesting to look at, for one. What are you going to do for a costume change for Super Reflexes - dodge clothes? o.O How about Titan Weapons? Willpower? And so forth.
... though I'd love to have this for my 'bots masterminds. Cargo crate drops down on their heads, opens up - new costume! >.>

Oh, and inherited is used in genetics. Like how I inherited my "sunburnt in under 15 minutes pale skin" from my mother.

ArcticFahx, Memphis_Bill, thanks for the defense. It's appreciated. But so is the correcting post from Sailboat.
Let me explain why...
I'm dutch, as in "I'm from the Netherlands". It's the little country east of the UK where cheese is gold and wooden shoes are standard footwear (or so foreigners think).
If I mess up the English language by making typos or using words in incorrect context, that's my excuse.
I'm just glad that there are people out there that are willing to correct me. Even if it sounds like nitpicking. I don't mind. I accept that I was wrong, learn from my mistake and move on.
So, no hard feelings, I won't snipe anyone in the back or AS them next time their online for correcting my spelling.
Now, back on topic!

If Masterminds didn't suck, they'd be the most powerful AT in the game.

Edit: Also, I love this idea.

As for other non-interesting sets, that's what you're all here for! We can all post ideas for what we want/think such a costume change should look like...of course, such may require new art but whatever.
I don't have any characters with Super Reflex primaries but I have some with Invulnerability primary. The emote should probably emphasize 'that didn't hurt' angles, at least IMO. For that, I'd imagine something falling on him (like a rock, a truck, a helicopter) that would then crumble/explode leaving my character posing in the Unyielding Stance.
For my Shield Defense primary character, just a raising of his shield just before a round of gunfire and an explosion engulf him. When the dust clears, he's not only unharmed, but had time enough to change clothes in the process.
I'll have to think about Katana and Titan Weapons though...
Katana: the mighty warrior whirled his blade so quickly it became unto wall before him. When he returned to view, he wore a golden suit of armor far grander than his peasant's garb.
Martial Arts: KUNG-FU FLIP!
Titan Weapons: The villain slammed his hammer down as a bright flash of light engulfed him. When the light faded, he had turned into a monster!
I'll think of more later.

Honestly, Im surprised this idea hasn't been suggested before. In fact before costume change emotes, it was commonplace for players to use their powers in a macro to switch costumes.
So, definitely /signed
Edit*.. Any of the weapon based melee sets could have a He-Man style "hold aloft my magic sword" emote and a flash followed by the costume switch.

"Angelina my love, I'm a genius!"
"Of course you are darling, that's why I married you. Physically, you're rather unattractive"

I like this idea. Considering that we already have it with Kheldians, seeing more of these would be pretty nifty.
While there are some existing powerset-appropriate transformation emotes, most need to be bought at the Paragon Market or with Incarnate merits (Lightning, Energy, and Martial-arts-style from the market, and Ice, Stone, Fire, and a different Energy from the Incarnate vendors)
It would be interesting to get a character-linked "free" one based on a specific attack from one of your powersets. (Not necessarily your primary powerset, depending on AT). No new animation, just a new use for the old animations.

Good to see my thread hasn't died a silent death.
More idea's for PICCE's?
Hero: Star Jewel(50)
Associates: Gemstone; Storm Lock; Star Sparkle; Dawnshade; Lunara; ...more
Enemies: Shadow Vine; Tirana Q; Forte Cadenza; Black Ion; Pursuit; ...more
(posting here 'cause I don't have VIP access)
This is an idea I got yesterday while playing my fire/fire brute and using cceEvilLaugh.
We have all these nice looking CCE's that make changing your costume a lot more OMG! But, what if every primary powerset comes with an inherited CCE, where the animation is actually one of its powers but slightly altered to hide the change itself. (Like ccCast hides the character in light when it changes costumes, or ccPrestoChango hides it in smoke)
As an example I'll take the primary Electrical Blast.
You know what the animation for Short Circuit looks like?
Alter it so it will somehow hide the character when it changes costumes.
(Yes, I know, ccLightning is cool too, but this PICCE - powerset inherited cce - can use color customization)
Another example...Earth Control...
Salt Crystals' animation, but then encasing the character in crystals (may look like Stone Armor's Crystal Armor) hiding the change and then the crystals crumble or break revealing the character.
(I've seen Ice Armor tanks use Hibernate for costume changes from time to time)
I could probably come up with more ideas if I'd take the time.
Main point is, the PICCE uses existing (or slightly altered) power animations. So there is hardly any need to create completely new animations.
So, there's my idea...
Now, discuss...
