I dont mean to ask too many questions but any idea if this "NVIDIA - GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 Graphics Card" would
1. Be good for the game?
2. Be interchangeable with the one I have?
There's also this one "ATI Radeon HD 5770" which the site says will work with my tower. Mac pro 1,1.
I guess for now the plan is to save up what I can and when I have a reasonable amount start doing some research and even opening my tower up and looking inside. Actually, I have two of those video cards in it so I guess I could take one out and look the thing over. Only other problem is ever since my screen busted I've had this lame one. :/ So I'd have to get a new one of those too.
Edit: I saw the ATI Radeon listed in the ultra mode compatibility thread so I guess that would be the right choice. Thanks again for all the help from everyone. Looks like I got some upgrades to work on.

Finally updated to OS X snow leopard, which will probably stopped being supported soon 
, and it fixed the issues I was having playing the game on my Mac. Now if only they would make MIDS for Mac I could get rid of my windows partition on my tower. I just gotta see how the comp handles running the game twice. Usually on windows I put each instance into "window" mode and lower the graphics all the way. Dont see a "window" setting as an option on the mac version. tho I remember having it in one a long time ago. Other then that it should run smoother since OS X recognizes all 4 gigs of my ram.

It stops the renderin' for whatever program is not at the front, so you could use it on both CoHs and whatever your primary is, that'll be the only one usin' the vast majority o' your resources.

Doesn't Mids have a web version you could use? I'm honestly not sure, but I thought they had added something for Mac users.

Yeah, 2 gigs = 2.14 billion, the same limit as the Inf cap. Same reason: 32 bits only handles numbers that high. You can't physically go beyond that with out getting more bits. Corollary: make sure you have a 64 bit CPU or a new OS won't help.
Actually it should be 4.28 billion, but for Inf they use the high bit as a sign (so it's really +/- 2.14 billion) and for the OS it just divides memory in half and uses half for the OS (drivers, IO, memory mapping, etc.). Back when they did that no one really thought you'd be needing the whole 4 gigs that a 32 bit CPU can address.
