Does intel 945GM work at all?

Just want to know if anyone on a laptop with this chipset runs the game. I'm on a thinkpad X60 Tablet and I get no openGL driver error. Yet my R40 with a Radeon mobility 7500 can run the game (although 10-12 FPS).

It'll run the game on very low settings.
Your video drivers may be damaged (or just really too old) though as your resolution is reporting as

1024 x 2147483647

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

I don't know, it must be because it is a Tablet PC. No amount of driver updating, installation, reinstallation, using drivers from intel site or lenovo site will even let me launch the game at all. I've tried the launch parameters in ncsoft launcher to try and disable video card check; still will not even let me launch the game at all. I am at a total loss...

If you look, the number 2147483647 seems to show up everywhere on his CoH Helper log. A very interesting number. That's the max value for a 32-bit signed integer.

I believe his machine has more problems than just CoH not being able to run.

Whoops! No, this:

Like I've said in the OP, I have tried those drivers...many times. Does not work at all with this game.

That page does explicitly state that those particular drivers there do support OpenGL. Without knowing more information about what goes on when you attempt to apply those updates, I couldn't be sure what's happening.

I do wish that page gave the driver version number though. I suspect the installer is failing to actually replace the older driver files for whatever reason. Perhaps if you used something like Driver Cleaner?

Intel GMA 950, ever heard Mr Spock use the term "stone knives and bearskins"?

Read about it here.

Intel stopped updating this drivers in 2009 anways, so thats going to be the latest. I did driver cleaner and everything, installed lenovo drivers from a fresh windows install, reinstalled windows compeltely and tried the intel ones too. Still get popups "you appear to be using an old driver". Then I click okay, and then it says "No opengl driver found...". vOv

Edit: tried every old driver I could aswell.

Since OpenGL 1.4 is the latest version that the drivers for that chipset supports, it's highly likely that what the OpenGL check is looking for is something from a newer version of OpenGL. It's also possible that it's due to the way the drivers were written. Intel has always had poor OpenGL support in their drivers. If they didn't code their drivers to handle whatever call the game is making during the OpenGL check, it's going to fail.

The Windows built-in drivers don't have OpenGL support. It's possible that the Lenovo drivers don't have full OpenGL support. Intel has always had poor OpenGL support in their drivers (which makes it harder for manufacturers to provide drivers with good OpenGL support).

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Got the game to work. Game runs just fine on OS X on this same card. Figured there's no way it won't be able to find OpenGL.

Can't speak for the rest of your system, but I have a duo-core laptop with 2 gigs of ram and the 945gm Intel video and it runs COH just fine.

Could you post a CoH helper please?
