/Cold is better for -regen. /Poison just doesn't get enough of it (though it really, really should). They're probably tied for -res ability, depending on how you play your /Poison.
While I will be making a Water/Poison Alchemist character, I do think that Water/Cold will be better for most of the game's content.

/Cold. I guess they're arguably fairly even against a single target, but those single targets are often surrounded by hoards of enemies or calling hoards of enemies to attack you from behind, in which case Cold's AoE debuffs and mitigation bring it way out on top.
I have been thinking about WB/Cold as well. Any thoughts on that versus WB/Storm?
Of the two mentioned in the OP, /Cold. WB/Storm fits conceptually also and will bloom earlier, but I prefer Cold Domination to Storm when everything is looked at.
Then set all of the advice aside and make a WB/Kinetic.

When the new Water Blast set comes out I was going to grab it and start a new toon (not like I need yet another toon

My question is...what do you think would be better (for itrials/bosses/AVs, etc....)? WB/Cold Dom. or WB/Poison?
Kind of leaning towards WB/Cold but....what's your take on it?
Mainly thinking of itrials and what not and what would be the best for -res (and -regen).
