I've tried reinstalling the launcher - same problem.
I've tried removing the PMB program - but it won't uninstall!!!!
I had a similar issue with SWTOR. I let my sub lapse because they never did fix it and I had little invested in the game and uninstalled PMB (which also significantly shows your machine). Unfortunately when Aion whent FTP a couple months ago it required PMB. Something about today's patch for COH or Aion, I'm not sure which, is the problem I think.
SWTOR lost a lot of players over blaming the players' machines instead of their launcher/PMB. I spent days trying to fix it according to their instructions and just unistalled the game, despite being a founder (which I never got to claim because I couldn't get in the game again).
I really hope there's a fix for this. I've been playing COH for 8 years and don't want to quit. I'm not a patient person. If I can't play either of my games I may go stark staring mad and gnaw on my keyboard in frustration.

If you play Aion - There was a patch today for that game as well. I don't know if Guild Wars or Lineage requires PMB. Aion requires PMB to update files and that may be causing you the same problem I'm having.
I'm not going to give up my COH, so I uninstalled PMB and Aion can go fish.
I was able to uninstall Pando Media Booster by first restarting my machine so that PMB wasn't running invisibly in the background (even shutting down the launcher and ending the PMB program won't shut it down). Then I uninstalled PMB.
I can use the launcher to get into COH, but unless I reinstall PMB I will not get into Aion. I'll worry about that later. Judging by the furor on the Aion forums I'm not the only one having the problem. I hope COH never goes the PMB route... that way lies madness and might be the one thing that makes me leave.

I thought I had seen something recently saying that you could bypass using PMB by opting out or something.
I'll have to search for it.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

If only this were true. It does prompt you, however you can right click on the game name on the launcher, choose properties, and unclick Pando Media Booster.
It defaults to using it and does install it, you need to refuse it and uninstall if you already have it. I did that and can now play both Aion and COH.

I've only played CoH on this laptop (Dell XPS M1530, running Windows 7 32 bit) and so far as I can tell I've not got this PMB thing installed. Certainly haven't been prompted to install it at any point
I'm giving the full re-install of the launcher and game a shot, see if I'm lucky and it does work.
So how do you want to be done? Medium, Well or Extra Crispy?

I have a fresh install on a new PC and I can't get to the log-in, I just get the splash screen (but not account and password login).
I can get through in safe mode... but that doesn't really help me unless I want to play like I'm in 1988.
full re-install and exactly the same issue, though now it's not even loading the splash screen...
So how do you want to be done? Medium, Well or Extra Crispy?
