Update Sonic blast and resonance sounds and VFX with new Talons of vengueance Siren sounds and VFX

Just played the SSA #2 Part 1 and there was a mob called Siren with awesome VFX and sounds that you know, actually sounded like a Siren.
The VFX was awesome, like a pentagram with music notes.
Would be awesome to have the awful grotesque sounds for Sonic blast and resonance, or at least only for female characters.
Those awful annoying sounds always stopped me to roll a Sonic character.

I hate the music notes. I chose Sonic blast for my Defender because it was a nice, subtle, GENERIC ripple, because he actually doesn't have anything to do with sound at all (apart from tricking people with words). Please don't force music notes on him, and if they are added, add them as an alternate option so I don't have to reroll a level 50+3 Incarnate.

Yeah, an option is a good idea, because they were kinda cool...in my opinion. That is not an opinion everyone will share, and indeed it wouldn't be appropriate for my one sonic character. So a blanket change would be bad.

Sorry, I meant as an alternate VFX (always as alternate).
The sounds could be replaced, at least for females.
Similar to the wishers of the Seers, I think they fit better than the current sounds.

No power ingame currently has the option of alternate sounds, so I'd assume that one would take some work. The visual effects could be done as alternate animations, though.

Not as part of the customization no, but Titan Weapons and Water Blast's Water Jet must already have the tech required to have alternate sounds because they all have two animations (One shorter) which necessitates calling up an alternate set of sound files so that the sfx match up with the animation.

The groundwork for sound customization could well already be in place.

(I'm not saying it'd be easy, of course. I wouldn't know even if I could look at the game's code... cause that's all Greek to me anyhow.)

Unlikely. As I understand it, as seen by the game those are actually two seperate powers, and the game decides which to activate when you hit the button based on certain other conditions. Each of these two seperate powers has its own sound effect. To make one power call a different sound effect based not on built in variables but on user selection is a rather different matter entirely.

If a player really preferred the Siren sounds for Sonic powers over their actual sounds, they could actually replace the sounds on their own client using similar methods to what can be found in the "silencing in-game sounds" thread or in the way the player-made map and icon packs work.

But this would require a lot of work which may or may not actually be strictly allowed, and may or may not be something we probably shouldn't actually maybe discuss.
