Best T4 Hybrid For A Crabbermind?
I've only just unlocked Hybrid myself. I don't have anything slotted yet.
My Crab has perma pets, and Support Core Embodiment is the first Hybrid I'm shooting for as well. as far as I know, (I could be wrong read it somewhere) Support is the only tree that will effect pets, so it is by far the most useful in many situations for us (keeping those pets alive keeps our AOE and ST DPS maxed out more than any self buff.)
The only other branch I might try for on this guy is Melee. Both Radial and Core look very useful.
My pets are currently at Perma 37% Def 20% resists (plus whatever their natural resists/def are can't remember off the top of my head.) I also have Ageless which i use at times.
He is definitely a work in progress, but this is very close to how he is slotted on live. I've dumped alot of Inf. into him, but he has kind of become my main at least currently.
Here is my build if you'd like to look. I'd also take any suggestions if you have any. I haven't had a 2nd pair of eyes look at him yet. This is my 3rd Patron. I don't like Mace for crabs, and just recently repeced out of MU. I have no KB mitigation or Immob, but currently I like Soul, helps my ST damage and the Widow survives better than I thought she would.
My last repec I completely forgot I needed to slot KB protection so yeah....oops.

Motivation is the art of getting people to do what you want them to do because they want to do it.
Your defense is low for a non-hover build. I'd go Melee +defense, or modify the build for more defense or hover.
Assault: Both T3s, T4 after i24 testing.
Melee: If you're a land based tank build, both T4s have their uses, and I plan on taking both. If you're a hover blaster support/offense build then these aren't going to be overly useful, but you could still use the Melee +res front load if you so desired, but I wouldn't recommend it.
Control: Could be useful combined with the ATO, but doesn't appeal to me.
Support: Support Double Defense to Pets is my choice here.
Assault is very buggy, both branches. Assault Core is currently broken, but if used to advantage is likely the better choice of the two if you're pet based. Once fixed, and after the i24 nerfs, all bets are off on either assault. For now I'd get T3 Radial and T3 Core, test both on a pylon with your build and playstyle ... keep them till after i24 fixes the bugs and finalizes the PPM nerfs. Then retest them and make the T4 out of the winner.
Crabs have a high res cap, making Melee +res a good option as well, assuming you have the defense to backup the res.
While I don't see a strong reason to go control, it could be combined with the ATO for more control. I don't see that choice and playstyle appealing to me.
Support is currently buggy. However, once the bugs are fixed the double defense buff to pets version would by my pick there. If you're running a hover blaster offensive build, you could be dishing out 1000 dps with the combination of you and the pets. You don't really need more offense. As hover support if you cap range or at least push range up above 32.5, then you're covered on defense. That leaves keeping your pets alive so they keep dishing out the damage.
As I've been saying for a while, nightfire. I would suggest you under going a full respec sometime, maybe dropping or moving stuff around for a better toon, lots of little inefficencies.
Anyway, I think they are all very situational. For burn fests like BAF/LAM/UGT/Keyes, I would do assualt. For MoM, melee res. For TPN, support or assualt. DD, control. MT, assualt or res. Soloing, control. Tanking, control. Etc.
[QUOTE=Trilby;4259435]As I've been saying for a while, nightfire. I would suggest you under going a full respec sometime, maybe dropping or moving stuff around for a better toon, lots of little inefficencies.
Ok, how would you make my current build better? Keep in mind that I do love perma hasten and perma pets. As far as inefficiencies, I have to admit, I don't have a lot of defense and resistance in my build. Also, my pets all 3 tiers do not have any or a lot of defense and resistance, so yes, they do die a lot and since they're my main damage dealers, that is my main problem. But, as far as I see it currently, my perma hasten and all of my pets being perma kind of makes up for that...at least that's how I see it. I'm up for you showing me how to improve my current build.

If you're going pet heavy go Assault Core. It's currently granting 34% dmg on each stack on pets instead of 15%. Devs don't seem to be in a huge rush to fix this as I've reported this 2 months ago in beta testing. Once/If it's ever fixed, Radial may be better but it's hard to say with the upcoming PPM formula nerf in I24.
Support Core sounds great on paper with a potential double buff to pets coming up to 24%, but this is also not working properly. Pets get 12% and player characters get 6%. I reported this at the same time I did the Assault bug so who knows when they'll bother to fix this.
I recommend you just take Assault Core and melt enemies. I can take down a Pylon in 22 seconds now with Assault Core so I'm not going to bother screwing around with anything else.
Good luck.

In the latest version of Mid's, Support Core Embodiment is boosting all defenses by 12%, lol. If only this was the way things were supposed to work, I'd be close to softcap to all of my defenses, probably shy about 2-3%. By my estimation, most of my defenses with the correct 6% to all defenses, brings me up to 36.3% to most of my defenses and it looks like my ranged defense is actually over the softcap, sitting at 45.3%. I'm not sure if my understanding of how this slot works is right or not, but when you activate, isn't it supposed to grant everything that it says it does for only a 2 minute time period only? I've activated the power ingame and seen it still toggling for 20+ minutes. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the fact, that this power doesn't shut off after 2 minutes.

Hybrid is supposed to be a toggle that shuts itself off after 2 minutes, and then has a 2 minute recharge. There are currently some known bugs with this. Watch the defense values in your Combat Monitor window and double-check what the toggle is really doing, especially after you zone. It is possible for the toggle to run without giving you any bonuses, and you'll have to switch it off so it can recharge and start it up again.
As far as general build advice goes, I would never let my Crab walk out of his front door in the morning without soft-capped ranged defense at the very least. It is possible to be TOO obsessed with recharge.
Heyas Fellow Crabspider Peoples:
I'm just looking for some advice on which T4 Hybrid slot would be best on a crabbermind built crabspider. Ideally, I'm looking for the best T4 out of all 4 options, kind of like Trilby said he/she was doing. Problem is, I have no idea which is the best when it comes to Assault, Melee, and Control. I crafted and slotted Support Core Embodiment, because it looked better than the Radial Embodiment...am I wrong?
I'm looking for something that will work for just plain missioning but like I said I want the best of the other 3 slots that way, when on a league, I can just swap out to easily meet the requests of the leader. Any advice on the other 3 mentioned above is greatly appreciated thank you. Here's my "projected" build, so that maybe it can help with determining: NOTE: VENOM GRENADE IS LEFT BLANK FOR THE SUPERIOR SET OF SPIDER'S BITE, WHEN IT COMES OUT.
