Ice/kin troller AE farming help
First off, this is not a good build. Several powers are unslotted, you have mix matched bonus flying all over the place, and you have no real congruence.
Secondly, while anything can farm, Ice Control does not do it well. I suggest going a different route.
Thirdly, farming is not really that fun for a long period of time. Most people enjoy it for a few bursts, but generally it is not fun. (Take it from me, occasionally I get into a farm frenzy and it is really fun for a few weeks, then I get burnt out.) Just Sayin'
What kind of budget are you looking for, and what are you farming. I see that you do stone custom enemies. I would suggest a custom enemy setting of Battle Maiden mobs. Just weed out the mace users since they like to stun.
Your goal is 45% Smashin/Lethal defense. Without Kin Combats, it will be tough. They are not that hard to get if you use A-Merits or Emp Merits.
Also, I notice your only AoE slotted for damage is fissure... that is going to make life slow pickin's.
Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.
Right now I put all my money into the IOs I got there. I have a team friendly build for doing incarnate trials, but it is going slow. I used to have the jump pool AoE in there, but it took an extra power slot, and I generally only hit the things right at the spot I landed it. For ice arctic air helps a lot, and the enemies do a ton of damage to each other with throw rock. The slow part is usually when I get down to 1-2 enemies. I eventually want to put more proc damage into AA, and make the most out of it. it already procs about once every 3rd fight, and IO can use both confuse, and slow in it. I also have frostbite as an AE, and once properly IOed it can be very nice damage. It is not as fast as fire cages, but FS will cap the damage anyway. originally this was going to be a team toon, but back when fire/kins were doing all the farming I did see a similarly built ice/kin do a solo run on the boss farms in almost the same time useing the AA proc loaded, and the enemies doing half the damage. Jack tends to be a little slow on the DPS compared to the imps, but I do believe once it gets down to those once I have IOs, and capped FS damage it will be much easier. what I am looking for is something cheap that I can slot for now to bring my power up bit by bit til I can start getting a lot more enemies in the map, and hopefully pulling enough rolls for selling on the market. Already I have been going after the 35-39 bronze rolls lookin for kin kombat recipies.

You are going to have to slot differently. Also, confuse will lower xp and inf gain. If you ONLY care about tickets, I guess its ok.
If I was going to do an Ice Kin Troller on the cheap, I think I would do this. (If i had some disposable merits or something, I would replace the two Smashing Haymaker sets with Kin combats, and only 3 slot Frostbite with EO, and pop some procs in it.

how so. if I feed myself lots of purps I can do +1/+8s (accuracy is still low for anything beyond +1)
and they never kill each other. I lead with the aoe sleep, and then FS SS then my AOE immob and fissure jack tends to pick things off fast, and I focus my any ST attacks on low health stuff. Minions are dead after the first wave of AOE stuff. LTs take about 3 and bosses die soon after that. the biggest issues I have is accuracy and def. Again I do plan to stack chance for samage into that aoe confuse I can use 2 set pools for them.
even with getting my def as high as it will go with purples sometimes they land a lucky set of blows that kills me in the alpha even after FS when I break the sleep. fire will let me keep AOE damage and in fact has more of it, and give me res instead.

You will have a better chance of getting help on a controller build by posting in the Controller forum. Frankly, I really don't know why the Dev's made this forum when folks had been asking for help with builds in each individual AT forum.
But let me make a few observations:
Ice Control is the lowest damage control set. If you want to make a damaging controller who can solo, Ice control is the slowest. I have an Ice/Storm who can solo, but he mostly relies upon the APP and Storm powers for damage, and that's just to get through missions. I would never, ever consider using him as a farmer. If you are looking for a character to do farming, look for a powerset combo that does good AoE damage, like Fire or Plant control.
Frankly, if I had an Ice/Kin, I would be looking for melee-heavy teams. Ice/Kin is wonderful for providing support for melee characters.
If you want to build for Defense, you will have to get into IOs. Yeah, the Kin Combats are expensive, but they are expensive because everyone wants them. HOWEVER, you can earn them using Hero (or Villain) merits with some work. Do 5 Tip Missions every day, and the first Who Will Die mission once a week. You can also buy the Acc/Dam with 50 Reward Merits. (In fact, one way I earn some Infl on a character is sometimes, when the prices spike upwards, I will trade in 50 Reward merits in for the Acc/Dam Kin Combat and sell it.) You will also have to look for more Defense whereever you can get it.
Arctic Air is a very good power for mitigating damage. It becomes about twice as effective is you can slot the purple Contagious Confusion proc in there. That proc doesn't do damage, but the Confuse from the proc lasts longer than the Confuse from AA.
If you want this character to do damage, you have to squeeze Damage out every where you can. You should take Chilblain slotted as a damage power. Slot Block of Ice for Damage. I added Air Superiority, too. Max slot Jack for damage with some accuracy. You'll want as much damage from your APP powers, too.
Now, I don't use Frostbite hardly at all since it conflicts with Ice Slick, but if you use it a lot, slot it up with Damage procs and not damage. Procs do more damage in Frostbite like most AoE Immobs.
If you ever team with your build, I would take Speed Boost over Flash Freeze any day. SB is one of the best team buffs in the game. Flash Freeze, as an AoE sleep, has limited benefits. SB can be slotted with one EndMod and it is good to go. Just use it a lot on teams. (Of course, it is virtually worthless solo.)
Personally, I never take Fighting and usually don't take Leadership with my controllers, but that's a matter of choice. Only a few of my controllers are built for defense. (I just finished my final build on my Ill/Time, and because he has Farsight, I build him for Recharge first, then Defense.) Admittedly, Kinetics has almost no mitigation, so building for Defense is not such a bad idea.

This build is only for farming AE missions. Flash freeze is there to give me time to get in the middle of everything, fulcrum shift, and then I frostbite. I then proceed to kill things, and right now it seems defence is my biggest issues. Also accuracy which will eventually be taken care of by IOs but with out IOs right now I am unsure if I could effectively farm tips. The SL def of rock is key to surviving atm, historicly this toon does not survive well outside that realm even as -1/x1 setups. She tends to get killed between transfusion recharge.
I have a team build which works really well, and has all the support stuff in it already.

Why confusion is a bad idea if you are farming for XP/INFL.
Let me add, a ice/kin doesn't make a good farmer. And that is from someone who had to use theirs to farm so I could get my fire/storm troller some cash so she could take over that job. Who, got replaced with a ss/fa brute as my prime farmer now. But the build below is workable as a farmer, so you can make some money. But then, learning to play the market will always get you more income in less time.

------------I am looking to get this IOed out the melee slots I want to have kinetic combat, but thus far I can only do a +4 AE mission I made with stone melee stone armor custom enemies I made. Kinetic Combat turns out is very expensive, and I can only spend about 2 hours a day farming. Also there is a map that I remember from back when fire/kin was king in AE, and I would like to find it I have gone through about every city type map I can find with no luck finding it. any suggestions on cheaper fillers til I can get Kinetic Combat for boosting up my smash/leth def would be appreciated.
