I watched the entire original series with my old man when I was younger and loved it.
I watched the preview for Burton's Depp-Carter Multicolor Goth Crapfest #6 and elected not to see it or acknowledge it as even related to the original series. Thirty seconds in to the teaser and the size of the poop Burton took on the original show becomes very apparent.

And the previews didn't entice me in the slightest to spend any money; looked like a bad sequel the "The Vampire's Apprentice" or even the new "The Sorcerer's Apprentice".
