Percy Winkley mission in Echo: Dark Astoria

Mission: Origin of Power - Finale: Stop Circle of Thorn

The final mission in Percy Winkley's arc Origin of Power, sends the player to Echo: Dark Astoria which can only be accessed via blueside Ouro, Supergroup telepad, or Mission Transporter, two of which cannot be used by Rogues and the third is a purchased power.

The Finale should send the player to a zone with a heavy CoT presence that can easily be accessed by Heroes and Rogues, such as Perez Park.

Your instance happened to be in Echo: DA this time. Instances are at least semi-random. I've gotten this mission instance in Perez Park before. All this said, locating the mission permanently in Perez Park might not be a bad idea.

I just had one of the Alexander of the Warriors missions send me to eDA.

Contact: Anton Sampson in Founders Falls.
Mission arc: Mass Duplicity.
Mission Retrieve the ledger from Lisa Colbert.

The mission is located in Echo: Dark Astoria which can be accessed only through blueside Ouroboros, a supergroup telepad, or with a mission teleporter power (purchased). This leave few or no options if you are running the missions as a Rogue.

The mission should not be located in Echo: Dark Astoria, but in a zone with heavy Nemesis presence like Founders Falls or Peregrine Island.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but these are both Blue-side missions. Rogues cannot be assigned them.

Both mission arcs are set over level 14, which, if I'm not mistaken, is when the Oro Portal can first be earned. Therefore, they are not overly difficult to access. I would call this a possible improvement, not a bug. As others have pointed out, these can spawn in other zones as well.

You are not wrong, and yet you are wrong in other ways.

Heroes can team with Rogues. If the Rogue is on a team with a Hero that receives a mission located in Echo: Dark Astoria, the Rogue has no way to get there unless they have the Mission Teleporter or possibly the new Team Transport. They shouldn't have to rely on access to a power on a timer that may not be available when the mission comes up.

None of these missions should be sending teams to Echo: Dark Astoria due to the inaccessibility for mixed teams.

As NekoNeko pointed out, some of these are random door locations. They should simply remove the options for locating these missions in Echo: Dark Astoria.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Honestly they should just remove mission doors from echoes entirely. Not entirely sure why they left valid mission doors in any of the echoes.

I don't think they actually intended to leave it in.

The impression I got while talking to the Devs at the first Player Summit was that they did intend to leave it in for a few reasons.

My suspicions as to what those reasons were may be off base, but I like to think they might be pretty close.

Head off complaints from players that "liked" the fog in the old DA or the flavor of the zone or whatever else. They can go to the Echo and get the same stuff.

Head off complaints from players that the old badges were no longer available. They can go to the Echo and get those badges.

Not take chances on accidentally leaving a mission door with nowhere to be placed or being placed in an inappropriately leveled zone for the mission. If you've missed one, that still gives you time to move it's door once you know about it. If there is no zone to set the door in, it could cause major crash issues.
