CityBinder .80

At least that's what I'm calling it after the work I've put into it.

Changes:

Silent Binds (I edited this into .76 a while back)
Proliferated Power Sets (up to i22)
Patron Power Pools for "Hero" archetypes
Ancillary Power Pools for "Villain" archetypes
New Power Sets (up to i22)
Fixed Mastermind drop down box not matching up

As well as a couple other things I may have changed along the way and forgotten about. If you find anything obviously broken post it here and I'll try to take a look but I guarantee nothing. heh

WARNING: Older profiles may no longer be valid!

What is the relevance/use of primary/secondary powersets for most uses of SoD/Citybinder?

For MMs, it uses the power names for the numpad binds.

For Kheldians, it updates fly/teleport binds to reference inherents.

I thought that SoD checked for certain weapon sets to avoid untoggling weapons on SoD/follow to avoid redraw... but what other uses do they serve?

Thanks especially for update to silent. I updated all the scripts via sed when I joined at I18 (and left at I19), and keep reusing that profile vs regenerating new binds.

Bah! The web host was having issues today which prompted me to check all my files. I discovered I had a version with out any of the changes uploaded under the .80 build. This should be fixed now. For the folks who downloaded the broken version, please download it again. It's the same link in the original post with, hopefully, the right files this time. Let me know if it isn't.

Does your re-update fix Prestige Power Surge? (removes the extra space).

I manually repatched mine, but didn't know what else you did besides bindloadfilesilent. I also didn't see Ninja Run, Beast Run, etc.

For those of us who have never used CityBinder, what *is* it anyway?

I used it awhile back to set up my mastermind binds. It automates the generation of complex binds for you, and generates them into easy to use/load files.

Oh, that's kinda cool. Hmm, I might have to look into that.

As I never use Prestige Power Surge I was unaware of this problem. I've fixed it as well as added Ninja and Beast run.

Seems Seldom beat me to this answer. Just to add to this you can also save profiles for each character you have so as to have a different set up for each.

Spacebar, forgive my rudeness for not mentioning earlier my thanks and appreciation for this application. As mentioned I've used it for my masterminds, and the ability the binds offer in minion control vs. without them is night and day, and incredibly easy to access.

...In fact, it's what allowed me to spend 1500+ hours on my mastermind, and pretty much the sole reason I even play the archetype. Without it the basic controls feel to fumbly/limited, and I've been spoiled by how much I can set actions of my minions. I know the binds are out there and able to be created manually, but this program does in seconds what it would take me hours in browsing/trial and error to get together. So thank you very much!

I'm glad you enjoy the program. I find it to be a great help.

Just in case someone gets the wrong idea, I want to be clear on one point. I did not create the original version of this program. All I did was add some updates to it and change the version number to set it apart from the original. For any interested parties here is the sourceforge link to the original project.

Heh, I wasn't aware you weren't the original developer, but your work is appreciated nonetheless. I recommended the program time and again to players way back when, especially mastermind players...but I gave up on it as the game progressed as I thought it had been abandoned. It's good to see that such a helpful tool is being kept alive, and thank you for the initiative.

*edit* Though I'm not sure why this update is being posted as a question.

Honestly, it's because when I first posted this it was something like 2:00am and I clicked the first ALL ACCESS section I came across. I had sense enough to put it where everyone could see it and be able to post about bugs, but not enough to pick the right section. =/

Thanks so much for the updates.

Since you're on the topic, I'd like to make some suggestions if you (or anyone else that has the time to look into it) would like to do so.

An easy one to start, in fact, I've already made this change in my own copy - the health inspiration, Resurgence, is misspelled as Resurgance. There are a few places where this occurs, but any decent global replace should fix things right up.

Secondly, this is probably just a complex bind that I could do on my own, but I've often used a bind to combine inspirations of all different types into one of another type (for instance, a bind that will try to combine all Insights, Lucks, Respites, etc. into Catch a Breath inspirations). If this was either added to the inspiration poppers form or a new form for inspiration combining, that would be nice.

Hurray for easy! I never noticed this issue before so thanks for pointing it out. I've changed that in the version that's up now. as of 6/19 11:00pm EDT

I take it you mean something like this available as an option in the inspiration popper menu or it's own menu? I've no doubt it's possible. No idea if I can add it or not. This has mostly been a learn as I go process, and most of what I've done has had examples available that I could easily adapt. I'll take a look though.

I think what he means is not a pop-menu method, but a chain of commands on a key (so most are set up to eat awakens first, etc)

Kinda like you can have the chain of commands to eat a type of inspiration, largest first.
