Is shield viable in Solo Incarnate content?
lawl casuals, ageless or nothing
I recently finished the incarnate arcs at x8 with my wm/shield toon and I had maybe a few tier one or two incarnate powers. She's aggressively io'd but I didnt even bother for the incarnate softcap. A little bit of strategy and timely use of insps made it just the right level of challenging.
The incarnate softcap is hardly necessary on any toon imo. certainly on trials there are so many buffs that you will often be softcapped with minimal personal defenses and the solo content just isn't hard enough to need it if you pay attention. Plus there's a ton of auto-hit patches in the solo content so capped defense isn't necessarily a guarantee of survival
make your shield toon and love it.
