Store Bought +End proc
From what I understand, the SBE is the same as the regular IO (Or will be soon).
As for your question, it depends.
Is Stamina already 1-2 slotted? What toon is this question based towards? Do you have other ways of recovery?
Need more details.
Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.
Most people tend to go towards 1 Level 50 End Mod IO, 1 Level 50 Performance Shifter : End Mod IO, and 1 Performance Shifter : Chance for +End. Gives you a little more movement via set bonus, and Some will even slot one of the dual Aspec Performance Shifters instead of the generic end mod IO for the health bonus.

Not for any particular toon. Just curious and hoping someone would do the math for me.
I was basing my curiosity on what I read on PW. Seemed like a store bought versiion might end up triggering enough (if placed in an auto) to give you more end than the increase in recovery you would get from a 50+3 End Mod IO.
from Paragon Wiki:
Crafted version: Gives a 20% chance of granting the powers target a small infusion of endurance.
Store-bought version: Gives a chance of granting the powers target a small infusion of endurance. This effect will trigger roughly 1.5 times per minute.
The store bought one is meant to trigger a little more on average, but not much. *shrug* not sure how much more, and if it would make sense to change up the "standard" slotting.
Will mention this though - the proc is often very helpful when in vs sappers that do -Recovery. +End is not affected by -recovery.

Now, if the SBE Perf Shifter Proc has been changed AGAIN to make it better. Then we can talk.

With the recent adjustment to the SBE, proc rate is now around 25%. That's still a slight improvement over the IO at 20%.

The store just says
The Performance Shifter: +Chance for +Endurance is a RARE Enhancement designed for Endurance Mod Powers. The effective level range is for Level 21 to 50 characters. This enhancement will scale with the user from Level 21 to 50. Once purchased, please log into the game with your Endurance Mod character and "claim" it through the in-game email system. A part of a set, 6 of 6.

The new 1.5 PPM rate gives... 1.5 PPM * 10s cycle / 60s = a 25% chance to proc on each tick of a Passive power. To match the IO when used in a Passive they would have had to set the PPM to 1.2. So the SBE is still 25% better when placed in by far the most common power for these items.

OK so then let me phrase it this way.
You have Stamina but only one slotted.
You have a 50+3 End Mod IO and either a regular or store bought Performance Shifter: Chance for +Endurance Proc (since it seems they trigger at the same rate now...or do they?).
Which would you put in Stamina?
A 50+3 endmod provides 48.76% enhancement. That's 48.76% of Stamina's base 25%, so 12.19% recovery, which is .2% endurance per second.
A proc in Stamina gets one chance to fire every 10 seconds, so the crafted proc will provide a 20% chance for 10% endurance every 10 seconds, or .2% end/sec averaged over time. Basically a wash. The PPM proc will provide .25% end/sec averaged over time, which is slightly better.
The proc changes coming in i24 may change that analysis, but that's still a long ways off.
Which would give me more endurance in Stamina. A 50+3 End Mod I.O. or a store bought Performance Shifter +End proc?
