Contacts won't talk to me

I'm trying to complete all the incarnate mishes in DA but missed some mishes from contaqcts Heather Townsend, Mu' Vorkan and Praetor Duncan. I can't get these contacts to talk to me and I can't find any of the mishes I''ve missed in Oroborous.

How do I get these contacts to talk to me or how do I complete these mishes in Oroborous if I can't find them!?

Do you have too many open arcs from previous contacts?

In the 46 -50 levels, no. The earlier levels yes. Between a power level now and then and playing on teams and leveling I out leveled quite a few earlier contacts. So I'm assuming by your question I should go back to those earlier contacts and clear them up, then these contacts will turn up in Oro?

I suspect that if you just "abandon" one of the earlier level missions, that would clear up the space to let you accept another one - if that is indeed the problem.

How are you able to run missions in DA if you haven't run Heather's arc? Heather's is first in the chain (second if you count the intro arc), she introduces you to Mu'Vorkan, he introduces you to Max, which leads to Praetor Duncan, which leads to Sister Solaris, which leads to Dream Doctor.

If you haven't run the first arc, how did you get the rest? Were you running them on someone else's team that had the contacts?

There are a few requirements for getting the intro missions and being able to run the DA arcs. You must be a level 50 and have your Alpha Slot unlocked. Just being in the process of unlocking it with threads is not enough, it has to be unlocked.

You also will need to run the intro mission to start the arcs. The contacts are Captain Nolan for blueside and a Threatening Arachnos Message for redside. Once you run those intro arcs it will introduce you to the repeatable contact for your side and Heather.

EDIT: Even on a Level 50 that has not unlocked the Alpha slot, you can still see the missions in Ouro, however, you cannot select since the message it gives when you try is "You and everyone on your team must be a VIP and have completed Heather Townshend's story arc to run this arc."

I've highlighted the three arcs you mentioned in the OP:

Heather is marked with Green, Mu'Vorkan is marked with Red and Praetor Duncan is marked with Yellow.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

If they're still on your Active list, but not offering you any missions, then what they've got is their "Personal Story Mission". I don't remember if those are on Oro or not.

The Story missions are treated as "story arcs", aka they'll have a book icon in your contacts list. It's possible to get locked out of the arcs if you have too many books open from previous content. So you're going to need to go back through your Active Contacts list, talk to everyone, and start running through old leftover arcs for a bit until you clear up enough room for the DA contacts to give you their Story missions.

The Personal Story Missions are in DA. I know I probably edited in the picture while you were typing this or after, but it shows them in the picture in the post above yours.

I'd bet money it's because you haven't been "introduced" to those contacts yet.

You can't just go to DA and start running missions; those contacts have to be opened up by doing the arcs for either Captain Nolan in Peregrine (heroes) or the Arachnos Threat in Grandville (villains). Sounds to me like that's the issue here. Either way, the appropriate "person" should show up in your contacts list automatically, assuming you meet all the other requirements (level 50, Alpha unlocked, VIP subscription).

Also, note this is per-character; doing it with one incarnate doesn't open up those contacts for your others. They'll all have to do it themselves.

FUN FACT: That burst of light when you level up is actually the effectiveness escaping from your enhancements all at once.
