Beast/Time Build Critique

Okay, here's my rough build for a Beast/Time, which isn't an easy combo to try to balance out given the higher demands of both primary and secondary. It is an expensive build, but I'm not really caring about that right now, I should be able to handle that without any problems. Love to hear some opinions on this, once again, it's a bit rough so feel free to tear it to shreds.

Also, yes, the Leviathan Mastery is in there for flavor, because I'm a dork like that. (The holds and immobilizes also synch well with Distortion Field, and holds things in place for the melee pets - all of them.) And I tend to keep fly in as my preferred travel power. I was thinking of Musculature Alpha slot when I got up there for a little more damage, as well.

I like it, though i would try to get hasten in for perma chrono shift, which would also perma hasten, kinda neat. The way i see it you have a couple neat abilities on semi long timers, like slowed response, temporal selection, fortify pack or even distortion field.

Probably would drop tactics for it, not a fan of that.

Not really a good build. Much powers are under or overslotted. Did u have played it jet?
Doesnt seems so because u got RechargeRdx in Tame and Train Beast...D'ooh.

/Time gets an awful lot of utility out of Mace Mastery. Scorpion Shield is great S/L/E +DEF, and Power Boost let's you get Farsight up to over +20% DEF if you cast the two together as the PB buff lasts the entirety of FS, plus all sorts of other secondary buffs.

That's how I'd go for my Epic at any rate.

I wanna play a beast mm but I can never decide what to pair it with. Especially since the actual attack are beneficial to the pets. Feels like I would run out of keybinds with so many abilities if I went time. Thought about dark but I still see the same thing happening with keybinds. Either way Im gonna start one or the other this week after a little more thought.

I advise /Time for Beasts/. Its just an awesome set and more reliable than /Dark imho. All of that -recharge really takes the cake imho, also the heavy reliance of dark on -tohit makes it a bit of a one trick pony. Don't mistake me, its a very good trick, but its still the only one you have.

/Time on the other hand offers a really nice mix of -recharge, -damage(at a point of your choice, not the choice of the mob with DN on it), +def and -tohit. I also prefer /times heals over /darks for melee pets because its more reliable and works better on moving targets(which beasts definitely are).

Time also has some nifty tricks like -def and +tohit powers, which can just be what you need if you face -tohit auras(like hurricane, ugh) yourself. Also distortion field is awesome as an opener and i prefer it over FS. Oh and you can easily get /time to permahasten levels with chrono shifts +50% recharge, which incidentially makes that also perma.

I love my Beast/Time but man, it's so sad to see all the good +recharge buffs wasted on the pets.

Really wish they could have done something to make up for it. Oh well....


What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.

I'm running a ninja/time and I felt the same at first, but honestly I think /time is just so awesome for MM pets in other ways that I kinda forget about the wasted recharge.

I mean.. with /time my little Genins actually survive, on large teams

WoW. Thats incredible. You think you could actually keep an arsonist alive with /Time? I would be tempted if that was the case .

Drop Temporal Selection onto the Arsonist. In addition to boosting his damage, his Regen is also boosted further from all the other Time healing powers. And if you have Power Boost from your epic, your heals are...well.....EPIC.
