My villains would buy their slots this way, but only if the consequences were having to snuggle with Jessica Alba.

IMO no. People would just skip certain parts of the incarnate system just to get to the higher levels right away.

In the dream, I got afflicted by some kind of enfeeblement that made it hard to do anything.
In reality, well sure, you've got this and that slot unlocked but you still don't have the threads or components to make the incarnate power. You'd still have to do the content to get those drops (or I guess farm merits to change into incarnate shtuff?).
I'd think it be pointless but I'd still probably do it just to see what might happen. Maybe I'd get to snuggle with Jessica Alba or Chris Evans (!!!) after they got a rez...maybe I could help them clean up, you know, wash their back and what not >_>
I actually would like the ability to "open" other slots with Incarnate Merits like we can with the Alpha.
Say 2-3 Emp Merits for unlocking the non-"level shift" slots like Judgement and Interface (and I assume Hybrid).

The threads and inf/inf for IXP that we have right now is not good enough? What have I misunderstood sorry.

Well, I guess I mean buying it for cheap, as in 1.5mil inf to unlock a slot. But yeah, it was just a weird CoX related dream I remembered...
So after soloing some more in Dark Astoria, I get a call from a contact (can't remember which one) telling me to visit him in Ouroboros. So I drop a portal and hop over there. He tells me (and some other nameless character) about a special opportunity to increase our incarnate powers.
Pay Inf for iXP on a 1:1 ratio! So I could spend a billion inf and get a billion iXP! The other character was a bit shy about it but I'm like, Oh yeah! And start dropping zeroes to fill up the slots I don't have...but there was a catch! The contact tells me, I'll also be enfeebled to the point of weakness for an undetermined amount of time. My character suddenly collapses down, barely able to breath, blue and green start to fluctuate and I don't know what's going on!
Then I wake up...
Funny is, I was having trouble breathing, practically panting while I was asleep. I'm like, what the hell? after logging on the game and finding I didn't unlock anything >_>
But really, that was a messed up dream (and I usually don't remember my dreams). I can only guess, the reason I was having trouble breathing was because of the yard work I did after I got home from work. First I was getting rid of these annoying uneven stepping stones, lifting them over my head and taking them from the front to the back behind the shed and since I don't own anything like a lawnmower or anything, I had to borrow one from my parents...so no wheelbarrel or anything. Some of those stones had to be at least 45-50lb and I had to move over 30 of them...and that grass was practically chest high! I was out there cutting grass until 10pm in the dark.
Sigh, still a bit winded but hope I'll be fine by the time I go to work. No back or shoulder aches, just a bit of effort to breath deeply.
But I wonder, would you take that offer? Buying your incarnate slots outright (with consequences, of course)?
